  1. A gubbing against a poor Hibs side managed by Butcher would be the starter IMO. A must win game on Wednesday now.
  2. Well yes, he has to share the blame as much as the players. Tactically we got this game wrong today and we got punished and made Dundee United looked much better than they were. As I said in my previous post Yogi pin pointed what was wrong with the Celtic game and in the manner of that game you can take it on the chin but this game you can't and it's inexcusable how poor we were defensively today. It makes you question what the lads do in training each week to concede 10 goals in 2 games. I really want Yogi to succeed in this job but as a leader he was poor as much as the lads today and unfortunately as a fan I am struggling to take this one on the chin.
  3. Managed to get a couple photos today.
  4. Today was well and truly awful - no excuses. Why have we changed from our favoured 4-2-3-1 to a 4-4-2 which have seen us conceed 10 goals in 2 games FFS. John Hughes as a player was a CB if he played the way Meekings did today he wouldn't have got anywhere near the Celtic team. We had a good chance of another big day out at Ibrox and today we got what we deserved - a hammering. There was no direction from the touchline today which was especially disappointing. I really like John Hughes as a person but his managerial career at ICT is starting to get a bit concerning. IF and a big IF we come away with no wins in the last 2 games this time next week then I would be sorry to do this but questions would need to be asked on the management team. If Terry Butcher was the manager today firstly I am sure our defending wouldn't be as shoddy and if the same result happend he would have got torn into the players. I haven't seen Yogi's post match interview with BBC but what has been posted online doesn't make good reading. Don't get me wrong, the players tried today and I thought Graeme Shinnie was the best out of a bad lot today but there was too many disappointing factors. The communication in the second goal for Dundee United between Dean Brill and Josh Meekings was pathetic and Cifti couldn't of had an easier goal if he tried. Up front today was poor and Billy Mckay's lack of goals is starting to get worrying. Ross County must be really poor if we can beat them in the style that we did and just makes me wonder why we can't keep the consistency? Yogi identified vs Celtic what when wrong, did they correct that mistakes - no. The referee had a really poor game and I just thought he couldn't get the red card out quick enough for the Greg Tansey tackle. Both Watkins and Tansey's red card was a yellow card at best. In saying that regardless of the referee's performance, 11 vs 11 would still got hammered. Credit to Dundee United fans today, absolute superb crowd for a half 12 on a Sunday!
  5. I wholeheartedly agree that every fan of ICT and Aberdeen should be at this game and I agree there hasn't been any trouble between our fans. Pre match, most of the ICT fans go into Caledonian golf club where the majority of Dons fans are in and we are treated very good but where this game is concerned I just don't agree that neither sets of fans should be housed above the other. Why? Like you say there has never been any trouble between the fans. The stewards would have no problem seeing people throwing things down.Plenty of teams in England put away fans in the top tier, home fans in the bottom, in fact it used to happen at Ibrox. Would look great for sponsor's,TV etc if we have one of our National cup final with an upper deck of empty seats, not to think of the potential lost revenue to both clubs. Is the upper tier not an extra 5000 odd seats x £25 it's a lot of lost money for both clubs. As I said in my first post, it's a possibility that it may happen and of course it's not guaranteed. I appreciate that it would look good on the television and we would get revenue for filling the ground. I want Celtic Park sold out as much as the next guy but it's more the fact of their previous at Tynecastle that gives you a niggling doubt - it only takes one person. Should be safe enough just as long as Neil Lennon isn't sitting among our support. I would imagine that it would be safe for us to have them above us, but regardless of what team it is anything could happen. I will watch with interest with their ticket sales and what the police say as I said anything past 40K isn't allowed due to Police restrictions.
  6. I voted Yes because well one and only reason - It would be funny. In all seriousness though there is many pros and cons of having Ross County in the Premiership. Pros: The friendly banter that is had on Twitter is something that I find really good about the Highland Derby and it's never taken to the extremes Less Travel involved in the away days and certainly makes a Friday night away day enjoyable with less travel (Unless they get stubborn and turn the lights off!) The cash gate is something that has been positive for both clubs and helps one another out especially with Rangers not in the Premiership It's really really fun making Derek Adam seethe to boiling point. Despite being Ross County, I really want to see both clubs promoting Highland Football at it's highest level Their pies are quite good. Cons: The way that they acted with tickets for the rescheduled Highland derby last week was ridiculous. Last season our crowds took a bit of a hit with them being in the premiership but the bubble's starting to burst which is good
  7. Draper's suspended for this one... So he is, good spot Sneckboy! Foran in CDM and Watkins at Left Wing

  10. Correct. The problem is that they're going to be looking for more than 40K which is going to be interesting how that gets dealt with.
  11. That's fantastic to hear that we have nearly sold our allocation out, hopefully we can go the step further and try and sell some of the upper tier of the LL stand. I noticed on the allocation map of Celtic Park it has the upper tier of the corner where the Goon Brigade usually are located empty, unless Aberdeen have sold that too? I am astonished that Aberdeen have got 40K fans come out the woodwork for this game. I had my doubts about Celtic Park hosting this game but the way things have panned out, the atmosphere is going to be superb!
  12. Brill Raven Warren Meekings Shinnie Draper Tansey Doran Vincent Foran Mckay
  13. Given that we are still some way from selling out our initial allocation despite being on general sale for over a week, we can't really complain if the Dons are now given the upper tier which had previously been provisionally reserved for us. Better that and generating revenue for both clubs than sitting empty with some Aberdeen fans either buying ICT tickets or missing out altogether. I don't have a problem with them getting extra tickets for the game as you said it's more revenue for the club which I can't dispute that but the point I am making is that if they were given the upper tier of the Lisbon Lions stand then it just leaves the possibility of things being thrown down on us - just take the Neil Lennon example at Tynecastle. If Aberdeen fans need more tickets then the SPFL should give them the usual away end.
  14. From what I read on Twitter yesterday that Aberdeen had sold 37K and I haven't seen a recent update of sales but supposedly Aberdeen are only getting 40K tickets and can't go over that due to police restrictions so it makes sense that they would be buying from ICT. Fair enough they could get the upper tier of the Lisbon Lions but I would rather their fans weren't above us.

Game today with Hibernian U20 has been postponed. That is now the 3rd week in a row of postponements.

Next U20 game is next Tuesday vs Hibernian at the Highland Football Academy in Dingwall. 2pm KO.
  17. That would be a cracking sponsor!
  18. I thought it was quite good when we had Flybe as sponsors but doubt we'd get something similar if they're buggering off from Inverness.
  19. According to Tyrone Smith of STV Orion Group have confirmed that they are not renewing the kit sponsorship deal past this season. I think with the way that the team are playing at the moment and I am sure that the club stature has increased in the last couple of years, maybe we can get a better deal? Thoughts?
  20. Should all be on minus marks IMO.
  21. I am seething at that. Richie Foran should get 20!
  22. Have to agree about substitutions since Yogi has arrived. We seem to be rotating it a lot more and giving players some game time more so than we did when Butcher was here. I thought yesterday Yogi got it spot on, we were starting to lack up front in the second half and sit back which Yogi brings on a fresh Marley Watkins and we go 3 up which could've been more to be honest. Nick Ross and Carl Tremarco coming on too was a great move especially Tremarco going to LB keeping the back four fresh to see the game out. It just makes me wonder what would have happened if Toby Agdestein stayed just that wee bit longer. I have to agree with the statement about Daniel Devine getting game time before the final.

Tonight's U20 Highland Derby has been postponed.
  24. Just back from Dingwall and what a superb night out it was. We absolutely battered County from the off and defensively County looked a shambles. Richie Foran was absolutely outstanding tonight and Marley Watkins goal was superb aswell!
