  1. Is Robson the only one to have avoided the Highland curse, he hasn't exactly gone on to superstardom, but his career didn't go into freefall when he left. He is indeed a whining irritating erse, but I'd have him back to replace Barry Wilson when he finally runs out of steam. (before anyone pulls me up, by that I'm not implying that Wilson is either whining, irritating or an erse, quite the opposite in fact :001:)
  2. Perhaps it was the proximity to Murrayfield, but our defence hit more up and unders than Chris Paterson did next door -only to zero effect.
  3. there's rugby on at Murrayfield later on so it's been brought forward to avoid a clash
  4. Its not a hike - its the standard price for an 'A' rated game : TICKET PRICES Maybe I should have used 'price differential'. As I said, £60 for a kids season ticket in the family section is very reasonable, it's a good bit less than I thought it would be, under £3 per game by my calculations. To charge the same kid nearly 6 times that price to come to a cup game seems disproportionate and very hard to justify.

Buenos noches BNP - as far as I can see, merger stayaways and Highland OF fans come out of the same prehistoric mould and ICT are better off without them. The Perth 6000 only seems to prove that there were previously 5500 fairweather football fans in inverness, of those, 3000 have been converted to regular attenders which is pretty good going.
  6. It is a disproportionate hike by any measure though. As I say, I'm not personally affected, and I don't grudge the price I pay for my tickets at the gate (well no more than I grudge paying for anything, being a miserable tight git) but I'd have thought there would be some discount for season ticket holders, the kids at least. I suppose you could argue that the reasonable price for the season tickets makes up for charging full whack for cup games. I really am a bit naiive with these things though, which probably explains why the directors are all wealthy whilst I remain poor.
  7. As a pay-at-the-gater who doesn't have to take any kids along I wasn't too familiar with season ticket prices so I just checked and it is indeed some mark up and it has changed my tune a bit - £17 for a kid for one game against £60 for a season ticket in the family section! Hard to justify . Definately something for the supporters trust to pursue.

As long as it's no the highly paid IHE I suppose, when you think about it, the new HIE office has a Howden End
  9. given that there's an egg-chasing match on later, is Diggers likely to be stowed out ?
  10. He won't be back until March according to todays Courier

There are presently whole departments of highly paid consultants and researchers at the HIE and UHI dedicated to carrying out high level research into this very subject. They expect to reveal their findings in about 2020 with the publication of a 10 million page report and I wouldn't like to try and pre-empt their findings by commenting any further at present. :017:

He's played 3 games, and only conceded 2 goals to the runaway league leaders, both of which were the result of howlers by the defenders, I don't think he could have done much better for a start in his new slot.
  13. Richard Hastings - Nairn County must admit that's a new one on me, but you can't hide the good breeding :003:
  14. Happy anniversary Charlie - hopefully the first of many :party07: Illegitimi non carborundum est
  15. what happens with the sky money - do you get a straight lumper or does it all go into one big pot and get divvied up at the end, or is that the setanta league deal ???

Rory was disappointing yesterday, can't say I was overexcited by McSwegans appearance either. Roll on Dargos return, his speed and endless running is invaluable. I hope more than ever he sticks with us now.
  19. Home good :003: Cellic bad :009: and since there seem to be less than 2,000 Inversneckians interested in the cup, that means 5,500 tims if we're gonna see a sellout. We can just have the bridge end, they might as well have the rest of the ground - there were some seriously big empty spaces in the main stand yesterday :008:
  20. There's not many circumstances where I'm looking for Livi success, but this is certainly one. Take away Cellic, and our cup chances are as good as anyone else, in fact, better than most.
  21. It was indeed Barry Wilson, and it was quite deliberate - should've been in the book for that one.
  22. Special delivery for Mark Brown.......
  23. That's amazing, something you're unlikely to ever repeat, something to tell the grandkids - not the private audience with the future PM - seeing Hislop scoring :015:
