Not too despondant despite the scoreline. The first two goals were pretty much unstopable and Rangers definately look a stronger team than last season. The long ball was pointless today though, even more so in the wind. It seemed like they'd forgotten Bayne was out and persisted with the tactics regardless. Thought Hart did enough to merit a start in future, he was the only midfielder able to carry the ball forward, and the only one who looked capable of creating an opening. Had to laugh at McDonald lining up against the towering Rangers defence when he came on, even more so when long balls were still being launched towards him.

Lots of speculation about top six, cup finals and moves to the OF. Personally I'll be happy if he fills Dargos boots on the scoring front and as a result keeps ICT in 11th place or higher by the end of the season. Without Dargo we were in deep shecht and I simply couldn't see where the essential goals for survival were going to come from. Hopefully this guy and McDonald will fill the void that existed up front for much of last season. Here's also hoping this is the season when Denzil finally proves imself in the SPL.

It's extraordinary that Elgin has become such a basket case when there appears to be plenty potential there. Agreed GOTPW. I'd be more enthused to hear that we'd signed up an A. Gunn or A, Sinclair from Wick and a Willie-John or John-Willie MacRae from Stornoway as scouts to get a grip on local prospects before announcing this sort of speculative headline grabbing stuff. While I'm at it, the chairmans obsession with Man Utd. grates too.
