  1. Nice guy but injuries, and inconsistent performances have cost him. We can't afford to have a player who's going to sit out more games than he plays. It would be a disservice to him to keep him he should leave find a team where he's going to get a game and have a fresh start. He will do a job for another team. No shock for me and ive been one of his critics but i have to thank him for the good performances he has had and wish him the best in the future. After 8 seasons that's the Least he deserves.
  2. Got to love the way it's "banter" when one of the CTO clique has a personal attack on a fellow poster here but were it to be the other way around I have the feeling warnings would be getting dished out . Doubt it. If anyone has a problem with what one of this "cto clique" posts there's a report button if they don't use it then why shouldn't it be seen as just banter.
  3. Meekings performance level has definatly dropped as the season went on. Recently he's definatly looked the weak link, but that's to be expected how many 19 year olds are there out there who are perfect. Piermayr can be either solid or terrifying yesterday he was solid. Away to hibs he was terrifying, and again that's to be expected as he is also young that's just our predicament we can't sign players in their peak because they are too expensive. Meekings will come good like he was when he made his break through. I'd like to see piermayr stay to be there to challenge meekings for that right back slot it makes sense. It's not broken so don't fix it.
  4. to us he is agent proctor.
  5. Very politically correct. Not ruling anything out.
  6. Tansey is top class at his best and frustrating on an off day but there's no denying his quality. He's young and the misplaced passes that he makes every so often are to be expected. But some of the balls he pulls off especially the wide diagonal he loves so much are defence shredding. over the next 2 years we will see him mature and these mistakes will be taken out of his game and we will have a quality player on our hands. He's been very impressive recently and earlier in the season he was them same next season will be his year. Hayes-the fact the Greg and ritchie both let him take the penalty unfortunately says to me he's leaving. A parting gift if you will, but I'm not giving up hope. Look at Hogg looked to further his career down south didn't work out and he re-signed for us. But if it is his last game hes leaving us with great memories, and the greatest of respect. He's given us so many great moments and goals. I don't think any of us will forget what he's done for us no matter where he goes. Both tansey and Hayes stood out for me today. Both were magnificent. Delighted to end this treturous season with a win. praying for a good pre season, some fresh faces but I agree with terry the majority of this squad is worth keeping they know what it's about and will be better next season.
  7. For me the improvement is down to more competion for places at the back. Williams, golobart, Tokely, meekings, gillet, shinnie, and piermayr all challenging each other to play well or get dropped for another one. The first half of the season we had less of that with Tokely and Hogg knowing they were first choice at centre half and the rest only there to fill in. IMO this has spurred the starting defenders to play well or they won't start the next week
  8. hes fat! hes round! hes worth a million pound! bobby mann! bobby mann!
  9. And of course, by the renegade way of thinking, that statement is based on a Fraser of four years ago in a relegation season. No chance that the guy could have improved a lot since he left us. Lets look at Tuffeys record though. This season played 9, defeats 5, draws, 2, wins 2. Shutouts 1, goals against 11. Rene, I think you are being blinded by Tuffey's reasonable record at Partick Essons records no better he went half the season without a clean sheet is that his fault? Is he worse than Fraser because of that? No and why? Because of his record from our promotion season and last season. Goalkeepers records mean nothing. To judge a keeper you have to actually watch them not their statistics.
  10. I've never seem a player adapt so well. He was thrown in at the deep end against scott vernon and josh magennis the day after he signed because tokes was suspended and he had a torrid time. But if I remember correctly he went on to have a much improved second half, and against killmarnock the next week he had a stormer. He had a few mishaps usually against Dundee utd but he's always bounced back and since January he's been superb. Well deserved from the most stylish centre half in the world. A talented player no doubt he's only going to improve. I really hope we can resign him. Well deserved
  11. Malins *****, I don't have a clue who their 3rd choice is and tuffeys better than Fraser. But obviously they are happy with malin as back up to Fraser and that says to me that they arnt looking for a new keeper. I suspect they will be looking to improve/ replace upon their outfield players. And look to have a strong squad ready for next year. I'd expect st Johnstone to be looking at keepers for next season, perhaps hibs, but not many other spl clubs will be most have established number 1s
  12. im confident what ever team we field we wont be beaten by 3 goals.
  13. from what i know hes currently playing for the st pats athletic u19's and reserves i believe and we signed him on a pre contract. from what ive read, match reports and so on hes got alot of ability and has had some good reviews.
  14. i wouldnt blame him being number 1 at an spl club would be the platform he needs to push on and get a move to a bigger club. i could see him going down to england. if makalambay can go to swansea cant tuffey go to oh i dunno manchester city? but i could see him going to lower championship or a league 1 club. anything lower than league 1 i feel would be below his ability. hes got international caps on his cv so that will help in his favour.
  15. one tackle from tokely in training and his arthritus will kick in and he wont have any knees left. mind you on his knees he probably still have a better chance against and opposing centre half than billy, poor lad
  16. andy greig, and kyle white both look to me like they have quality, pre season will tell whether they are going to get some games next season, both have impressed me of what ive saw of them.
  17. tuffey piermayr-golobart-tokely-g.shinnie tudur-jones--foran doran--------------shinnie--------------hayes tade subs: esson, meekings, gillet, tansey, ross, sutherland, mckay.
  18. Certainly deserves it. In my mind he's the best young left back in the country.
  19. ahhh it only feels like yesterday. i was so confident.
  20. Rofl at that decision no where near
  21. This season IMO has been one of Tokelys worst which speak volumes as he's still been one of our best defenders. I wouldnt say he's the best as gillet and golobart have been magnificent but he's certainly been on a par with those two. I suspect his disapearence was due to his possible inability to play 3 times in a week, and if this season isn't his last next season will be. If butcher decides its right to offload him this season so that he can find a replacement with his wages il back him but id love rossco to have 1 more year here. What makes me think that Tokely could stay is that when he got injured, he was out of favour for a bit, butcher decided that perhaps he wasn't at his best and choose not to play him, but when he was needed again he played and was back to his best and hasn't been left out since bar Saturday. That says to me that butcher thinks at his best Tokely is one of our best defenders, And is indispensable, even with the challenge of golobart, Williams, and gillet.
  22. im realy looking forward to the game tonight. hopefully another masterclass from jo cardle something about him i love watching. hes a right footed hayes. would love to see hibs go down only problem is we cant raid them like we can dunfermline if they do.
  23. He's been brilliant over his 2 years here in essons shadow to most but for me he's been key in essons performances over the last 2 years. Having someone of tuffeys quality would have really made esson work and it speaks volumes of the man that he's never said anything about not being played. If he is going I wish him well for the rest of his career which And i think we will see him flourish in the future for northern Ireland and whoever he plays for.
  24. 3 games in a week is probably to much for him in his old age In hoping for 1 more year. We are going through change and rossco is the last of the old guard I think we have to accept that he isn't going to be here much longer (at least in playing capacity). It's all circumstantial but 1 thing we all know is that rossco is our most faithful servant and he will go down in club history
