  1. St Johnstone are being linked with half the spl right now. Tades a player that will give any defence problems so would be an asset in Europe. This story could have supstence but id put it down to being a slow day. Nothing new is happening right now so I'd say this is speculation.
  2. Shame for him again. Caps Off a Disappointing season for him. Hope next season is better for his and our sake. If jonny goes we won't get a much better replacement the Aaron. Next season is vital for him.
  3. You can rest assured that Doran will not "kick on there". I certainly don't want to see him have anything to do with ICT. His own thoughts on how he'd perform for us against the club which has his allegiance is nothing short of disgusting. Actions speak louder than words. You obviously weren't at the 3-2 win against his "club which has his allegiance" where he was emense. So do one. Stop trying to s**t stir. He's a good player. But you will obviously never be happy.
  4. Smith could be the next Andy shinnie. He's our top assisted in the Scottish cup yknow
  5. He's on holiday in Thailand. He Irish. He's sunburnt. He's probably in bed with a transgender. One birds not enough for johnny
  6. Stephen elliot fits the bill. Works well as a lone striker can pop up with goal. Only question us wage. Worth a look certainly.
  7. I Might be wrong then. I also notice mark conolly is a free agent on that list. Young former Bolton reserve team captain. Worth a look?
  8. I'm sure I read a tweet of his recently saying he had to pull out due to injury. If not then its brilliant news he's certainly well thought of in Ireland at u21 level proven by how regularly he gets called up. If he stays fit he a couple years away from a first team call up imo. Imense talent to be unearthed in this lad.
  9. Proven strikers cost money. We don't have money. So we have to unearth gems. Chamberlain could well be a gem so worth a look
  10. According to bauhaus, Chubbs has been released, and no, I don't understand it either. If bauhaus has info right, and he may very well have, of the nine who were signed to the under 19s from the u-17s in the first year back in the SPL, it looks like only Laing, Whyte and Polworth are still here for next season..I suppose playing in the under-20s. I saw Chubbs a couple of times at least at Wick, and thought he was a cracking wee player (but bear in mind I know sod all about all the modern methods of playing the game). I take along Dundee supporters to ICT/Wick Academy games (and pay them in as recompense for getting me there and back home) so when I ask "what the hell are they doing reacting like that?" and "aren't they meant to be closing that player down..so why aren't they?" they can explain modern tactics/thinking etc (not that I really understand it yet, and probably never will). I do sometimes wonder (being of an era when if you were good enough you were also big enough, as well as old enough) if the likes of Jinky Johnstone or Willie Henderson would ever get a game in this modern set-up which seems predicated as much on height and body strength as on the ability to actually play the game superbly. Just read the remarks on here about the lack of height of Mackay causing problems......and as someone of 5ft 1inch, the man seems to me a veritable giant.Young Ryan Christie looks a very good prospect for the future...but as he is kinda height challenged atm, in Scottish football terms, if he doesn't bulk up and acquire some height in the next few years, will he be kept on however good he is technically? It appears that currently, the average height of Scotsmen is an inch shorter than that of Englishmen.....and I do wonder if the English average is the one taken as the UK norm. As an aside, and just because the research amused me a lot......it appears that Scotsmen are second only to the French re the length of their todgers..(just a shame that Scotsmen also tend to suffer from brewers droop a lot.) Andy Greig has had his injury problems this year. I heard that he is looking to play highland league next year so we will probably see him in pre season somewhere. And he will probably score against us. Whenever I've seen him he has caused defence havoc he's quick has a good touch abit of skill and a good cross. But I've only seen him against highland league opposition. But he always looked the part. I'd put his release down to misfortune. He dislocated his shoulder early on in the season. And never recovered i imagine. The first couple games he helped make up the numbers on the bench along with Laing. So I thought he would be one of the players butcher would look to bring through into the first team. But that's football I suppose.
  11. No surprise Mannus seems to be a decent keeper but they have no number 2 cause encklemans ****. Itll be interesting to see who take no1 if he does go him and Mannus are both fighting for the northern ireland number 2.
  12. The key word here is "sometimes". Of course there's a time for it. There's a time to shout and give others a rollicking and there's a time when some simple encouragement is the best method. A point I read once about Brian Clough was that he knew exactly when to be ruthless and when to give the old "arm around the shoulders" approach. The problem with Foran is that is all he does is the former. Everyone gets frustrated, but the way Foran goes about showing it on the field, particularly when it is not needed, must be detrimental to team morale and makes him look nothing more than bully and one likely to cower behind the manager if anyone were to ever question his ayatollah-like approach. My point is that he is one of very few who show passion on the pitch I'm not going to moan about that.
  13. I smell a conspiracy
  14. He has stated before he dreamed of playing for an old firm team or playing in lique 1 in France in the future. It's no surprise if he is looking to sign for a French team but I think he will need to stay another year before anyone really notices him.
  15. 3-0 Salt win with a Conor pepper hat trick
  16. we can enter the 6-a-side league
  17. I take it that's the same kind of "passion" Neil Lennon shows. There's nothing wrong with passion and being desperate on win when on the field, but a lot of the time it's not just regular moaning, it's fits of rage which do no-one any good whatsoever. It also doesn't help his case when many of his own performances have been rather sub-standard this season. Sometimes players need a kick up the erse we've had plenty players down the years who did the same. It's nothing like Lennon? Whenever he has these "fits of rage" it's because of constant mistakes, misplaced passes, poor finishing etc. when we are winning this still happens its just the type of captain he is he is a kick up the erse type of captain. People moan about the players because they " don't have enough passion" but the players that do have passion ie foran are to passionate? He shows his frustrations on the pitch there's nothing wrong with that
  18. No surprise millions of pounds on players that havnt performed feel sorry for him he signed players that played well for other clubs but not for Liverpool.
  19. Personally i view it as passion. He is desperate to win. He's always been a moody git on the park. He's not the player he once was but he's constantly moaning at players because he wants them to do better.
  20. some of the stats are impressive but theres alot more less impressive stats. i often take these with a pinch of salt but these highlight the issues we have. the top 5 players are the backbone. imo they are our most played for a reason. foran - not the best footballer but a good captain imo personally love seeing him give players a kick up the erse tansey - a 23 year old playing 35 games is always a good sign. hes proven he can handle the toughness of the spl this season next season hell get more chance to express himself tade - perhaps not the most technically gifted but hes a worker. hes proven many doubters wrong this year esson - what can you say? the best keeper weve had? probably and ross tokely - even with his injury problems earlier in the season hes still up there. our main man at the back this year. the rest have either had serious injury problems ie hayes, hogg and otj or havnt been consistent enough. the average age of the player i mentioned above is about 28/29? the rest have to develop and will develop into consistent per formers like the top 5
  21. Killie 6-3 - shinnies hat trick Motherwell 1-0 - tades strike Hibs 2-0 - tanseys free kick
  22. Last season 7 or 8 got promoted from the youth system this season 2. It goes in cycles some years the youth will bring plenty of talent through other years Not so much. Nothing to be worried about just previous year were obviously better Remember some of these boys still have a chance. Perhaps some have lost focus and this could be the kick up the arse they need to get back on track
  23. Looking for replacements to jennings and lasley who arnt getting any younger no surprise but I hope he stays here
  24. the step up from u19 to first team is to big. how many 18 year olds are actually likely to make it into the first team? shane sutherland, and gavin morrison are both players that have suffered because theyve not had much to do for 2 years. they arnt yet good enough for first team but theres nowhere for them to go. so what happens? they both get shipped off to elgin and iceland. costing the club money. 2 players with great potential are currently struggling because there is no reserve league.
  25. christ would be a great signing now if he got a cruciate injury perhaps it would only be a case of 3 day to recover
