Team GB
So the short list has been wilted down to 80. David Beckham, gareth bale, Steven fletcher, Chris brunt, James Forrest, grant Hanley, David goodwillie, And Barry bannan have all been confirmed to be in with a chance of competing in the Olympics. What I want to know is who would you include in team GB? Your only aloud 3 players over the age of 23 so use them wisely.

Tade offered new deal!
Tade is super in the air and McKay can hold up play and link with the midfeild I think that showed at aberdeen a few weeks ago tade would come in off the Wing for the long balls he could flick them onto McKay who isn't great in the air good for his height but obviously has a huge disadvantage and the pair of them linked up superbely in that game. They Played quick fluid passes between each other, they looked like they had a understanding of each other. We havnt seen it happen since but that game for me that showed me the potential that we have upfront. McKay doesnt score a lot he probably never will he isn't selfish enough for me he always looks to link with the rest of the team but I can see the pair of them striking up a partnership. The pair of them as a partnership IMO could get 20+ goals a season between them obviously tade would get more of them but McKay for me would be just as important to the partnership . It's a partnership I'd love to see more of towards the end of the season.

Tade offered new deal!
He's our top scorer this season so IMO it would be ludicrous not to offer him a new deal and see if he can improve upon it next season And no matter what you think about his skill level you have to love his endeavour

Wick V ICT 17th April?
how can the pitch be waterlogged? its at such a slop its almost a mountain. id imagine all the water would slide down the pitch to the road at the bottom.

SFA NFL
id welcome this if say 2-3 teams dont want to join then theres clubs with backing behind them elswhere that can join. perhaps an extra highland team could come into the equation. im sure theres other teams down south that would welcome the chance to join a new football league. the possibilities of how they could structure this nfl are endless. but if they have any less than 14 team leagues id be hugely disapointed. id quite like to see them split the the 42 into 3 14 team leaguesand perhaps invite teams from lower leagues throughout scotland to make a 4th division whether they see that as an option i dont know. id also like to see promotion and relegation play offs i think its a brilliant system whereas you have 2 or 4 teams who get to the play offs via divison 2 and they have a sort of promotion tournament and the winner of this plays the team who finish in the relegation play off position. its the best way get promoted but would be the worst way to get relegated. this is all hypothetical of course and im abit guilty of getting carried away whenever the future of scottish football comes up but i feel theres alot of potential in our country.

Livi season ticket pricing
Could this not backfire? Say people decide to hold out for the prices to go down and they only sell 1000 of them. Then your left with people who would of bought a season ticket but never got round to it because they were waiting for prices to come down which never happened. In any case it's good to see them trying new initiatives to increase ticket sales, and if it does work then FairPlay to them

Neil Lennon
Just had a look on Neil lennons twitter and he was getting messages from Celtic fans saying he's a disgrace and a bottle merchant haha But best of all a Celtic fan made the point that hoopers goal was offside so the decision evened itself out in the end. His reply "no it wasn't" I'm now certain that he has lost it

Our oldest rivalry
all you need to play football is grass, a ball, and 4 jumpers who needs fancy training facilities we use fort george 99% of the time and when we cant because of rain or snow we have the option of using millburn academys 3g pitch or charleston. theres no problem with that. there were 17000 thousand 'fans' for the final but the semi final there was 24 thousand fans overall and id put money on at least 17 thousand of them being celtic supporters. so they had no more for their semi final than we did in ours if we got to the final theres no doubt in my mind we would be able to take the same amount of fans. whenever county come up on here dougal you always seem to look at what theyve done and see it as somehow better than what we have done well we reached the spl in 10 years its taken them 83 years, and theyve been past the last 16 of the scotish cup on 1 occasion. the only competition theyve done better than us in is the alba cup wining it twice and theyve had 18 attempts at it and we only had 11. technically theyve done better than us in the 2nd divison but only because they got relegated from the first division and had another chance to win it whereas we have never been relegated from a sfl division. need anymore?

Our oldest rivalry
I don't think county are a strong as the team that we brought up. They've ground out results whereas we were free scoring with foran scored more in the league than mcmenimen has this season and Rooney got almost double as Much as mcmenimen has this season. The loss of gardyne will be huge for them aswell they will have to try hold on to their back line and be a strong defensive unit in the spl. If they could get a proven goal scorer at spl level I could see Them challenging us for 6th, 7th, or 8th place next season. The spl will make or break county next season Derek Adams has a big job in his hands the first 2 seasons are always the hardest. They have a team of players hungry to play spl football and I hope they do well because it could be the catalyst for highland football to expand with us pushing county an them pushing us. next season could be an exiting one.

hopefully i wont get told im ''vomiting rainbows'' today the centre backs were flawless golobart and tokely are just brilliant. 6th game in a row theyve played together great to have some consistency. the full backs were pish going forward but at the back were flawless and imo defending should be a full backs number 1 priorty. so pass marks for them the centre midfeild 3 of jones, foran and tansey unlike last wednesday dominated the centre of the park. jones offering the balance with foran and tansey interchaging supporting the attack. hayes- take a bow shinnie- much improved from sunday, grew into the role crosses were into good areas but no one on the end of them and attacked the back post like a winger should mckay- he done what he always does. held up the play brought the midfeild into the game hes a key component to the ict machine now. needs to add goals to his game and he will be perfect well earned point. even game imo we would be chalenging with st johnstone this season for those european places but we arnt 4 points off been mathematically safe now. we have highland derbies to look forward to next season so lets look towards then look into signing golobart on a permanent deal and build for pasteing county next season

I post about how bad we are because ***NEWSFLASH*** we are worse than bad, we are relegation material. This season we've been bloody fortunate that Dunfermline just happen to be worse than we are. I'm confident on showings like today, Hibs will finish above us. Don't be surprised to see us as bookies favourites for the drop next season. Being better than the opposing team for 64mins, isn't good enough. You can't polish a turd but you're certainly doing your best to roll it in glitter, eh? You're saying that the only difference was that they had better finishers. Well is that not fundamental to the game?! Who's fault is it that we don't have clinical finshers? Who's fault is it that we're stuck with a clueless but hard working First Division level forward who can't finish a fish supper?... of course been better than the opposition for 64 minutes isnt good enough i made that clear when i said after that we ''crumbled'' but the point im trying to make is we could have been away by that time 2 or 3 -0 because of our lack of ''goalscorer'' who imo is andy shinnie whos injured. and that cost us. whereas hibs had o'connor and grithiths both proven scorers. wheras we had tade who although he has 9 this season and we all love him frustrating as he is, is guarenteed to miss chances. finishings a fundamental of the game but proven finishers arnt cheap. and arnt easy to come by

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
or Tuffey - great back up to esson one of the best no 2's in the league Foran - gave us 2 very good seasons up front with rooney was key in our promotion push Cox - Arguably a match for Black, no complaints there Gillet - mr composure Golobart - shakey start but has proved to be a great young centre half Tansey - mr consistent week in week out still young can only improve Tade - a threat no matter what Dorans - had a sinsilating 6 month loan has another year to comback and perhaps replace hayes Meekings - 19 years old can only improve had a great start A.Shinnie - Great player who took a while to find his stride but injured unfortunately Davis - a man with so much ability proven by the fact hes playing premiership and was brilliant for us and out of the players hes brought through gavin morrisons the only player that hasnt played 30+ games

I'm sorry, but what? I can only assume that you're on anti-depressants or something but really there's no excuse for the rainbows you're vomiting in that post. The entire team (Hayes excepted) was crap from start to finish. OK, so Tansey got on the score sheet with a well taken penalty and he had a better than average game but I'm afraid a better than average game is just not good enough. Our team as a whole, is just not good enough. The fact that we have to solely rely on Hayes is nothing short of a joke. am i on anti depresants or are you on depressants because all you ever seem to post is about how bad we are. im as unhappy with the result as anyone but for 64 minutes we were better our whole team than hibs and we realy should have won not winning was a huge disapointment for everyone but im looking at it from the point of view that we were 100 times better than we were on wednesday and we certainly got a response from the player the main difference for me was that hibs had 2 clinical finishers in their side who took their chances when they came to them.

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
i see where your coming from on grant. he is one of the nice guys and a top pro aswell. but i think butcher expected to have more experience resigning. there was duff which he didnt. money grabbing t*wat he is. i speculate that he had a gentlemens agreement with hogg. but hes hardly been around the chaging rooms this season to offer his help to the youngsters and the same with jones. we have 4-5 realy experienced heads tokely, esson, foran, jones, hogg are all realy experienced player we arnt short of experience because imo they are 5 definate starters when fit but jones and hogg have been out for almost all of the season and havnt been there for the youngsters which shifts alot of responsibility to the other 3 with one being a keeper he can only realy help the defenders. if jones and hogg wernt injured for most of the season perhaps they youngsters would have had more help and possibly done better. i dont know perhaps grant would have helped but im not going to dwell on it. personally i think its brilliant having tuffey. a cheap back up keeper could have left us with someone like chris smith (god forbid) but we have tuffey who imo is just as good as esson.

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
Luke, I admire your optimistic view but have to disagree with some. TB is responsible for the team he has assembled. He sourced them, he gave them contracts and he sets them out for every match. He is no different from any other manager in this regard as they all 'live or die' by their choices. I don't necessarily believe that dismissal (even if we could afford it thanks to the new contracts awarded) is the right call but I do expect him to be scrutinised in what he chooses to do. Blind faith is all very well but.... the way i see it is the defending has been very naive this year. and thats because our first choice right back is 19, and centre back is 20. and alot of the season shinnie has played left back who is also 20 the only real experieced head we have at the back is tokely. now i believe that because butcher had no real choice but to go with young players because older more experienced players in the 'prime' of their career cost money. if butcher had more financial backing then yes i would be frustrated at the defending and his choice not to sign and experienced defender but he doesnt so im happy that we look like we will stay up this year and im satisfied with how butcher has done this season with injuries, suspensions etc.
