Worst defensive record in the league
Never mind who wins and who loses with the other Teams the important thing is that our players have got to perform at a higher level, making and taking chances and closing out the opposition plus a big cut down on stupid fouls.

St Johnstone -V- Inverness CT
I watched the Alba highlights which gave a good coverage of play from both teams perspective and yes the lack of communication was the most obvious of our many faults. The first thing the players should have done after the match and in the presence of R F is watch a play back of that game, the second thing was to have the same people brought together on Sunday morning to watch it all again and to go over every move, then individually explain in front of everyone their part and what should have been done where involved and / or should have been involved in. Sparks would fly and noses would be rubbed in their ****. Perhaps then they would start getting their act together. There are good players there but what happened to the Team play, and the urgency that we were renowned for? It was sadly lacking . we looked like a poor Aberdeen side striving to gain individual glory and failing miserably. We now have the fight of a lifetime on our hands to climb up that table. At worst we will go down a league and maybe never ever get back into the Premier league again. Nobody ICT minded wants that, if there is they should be booted out. There has got to be a big turn around for the rest of the season it is up to the Board, management, staff and players to ensure we do starting next match onwards.

Thanks for the explanation Rig. You are quite right, being visualy impaired, I cannot distinguish the players particularly well, I assumed that the outlined player in the photos were all 'supposedly' of Vigurs. I suppose the old adage of 'never assume' is true in this case. Photographic evidence without accompanying explanation can sometimes be so misleading. Nice photos though and good thinking if you were recording that in anticipation of catching Vigurs out or did you just go through a recorded version of the match and pick out said frames ?

Oh to be able to pin point the weaknesses and at the same time provide the answers ! Tick lists are all very well but it can be a combination of all things or from less to none of them. We have an excellent goal keeper and he has made some wonderful saves and stops the one criticism I have of him is that he does not seem to have the ability to ' Boss the box ' an attribute that Dean Brill had, when he played for us, which contributed largely to him keeping so many clean sheets. It is the Keepers area and if he can not do that then it is up to the Captain to ensure that all holes in the defence are adequately filled. Even then there can be leaks so lack of cohesiveness can not be entirely to blame. Attacking football is our style of play so a high line in midfield has to be maintained, offside traps are necessary but susceptible to the quality of refereeing and line duty that we experience. Playing the whistle and not anticipating fouls being given can be another problem, which is down to the Captain to ensure that players are alert to this. That is my take for what it is worth!

Just about the most frustrating game I have been to in a long time! No not the ICT performance, over all it wasn't that bad .Yes it could have been much better. What frustrated me was the performance of the referee being 'conned' into giving fouls by the divers, giving unfair advantages to the cheats and giving us very little in return!! I have come to the conclusion that McInnes has his team out practicing diving for a large proportion of the training sessions, they are so good at it, it is unbelievable. Over the season it started with Rooney as the main offender, then Hayes took over the role now it is graduating throughout the whole team. To cap it all driving home I caught part of the summary on radio by the @@ Pundits @@ discussing the terrible tackles that ICT were putting in throughout the match. Enough said.

Greg Tansey...
Well I suppose you folk have got to snipe at someone now that J H has gone. There are many good reasons why a player can go 'off'', take David Raven for example his form dropped because he was trying too hard to live up to the fans' expectations. Tansey is still performing well enough to justify his selection and the Team needs his influence.

Nice try IHE, looks like you have been shot down in flames though. However at least it gives us some idea of the money floating around the league and gives rise to thoughts of what it would be like success -wise if there was a level playing field on expenditure on wages bonuses and perks. Not that I am advocating this as it would never happen but it would be an eye opener on the management and skills of Clubs. So to Saturday and another chance to bring down one of the bigger fish. Hope we have allocated a seat in the stand for McInnes when he loses the rag and is sent to the stand.......I would suggest the North Stand would be suitable for him.

Little chance against Celtic?...............Who is this wonderful Celtic that all the pundits are raving about?.................Two dodgy draws against richer opposition and they think the world is at their feet. Richie Foran got it very right tonight with ;his comments on STV regarding Celtic not being as far ahead in the field as is being made out to be. Oh yes they ;have some excellent players or players who could be and should be excellent but as a team they like the Dons, are still a side of good individuals. The two most improved Teams in the league are ICT and the Rangers who play as Teams then you have Hearts and St. Johnstone who have also improved and are stabilising as Teams with their form currently ahead of last season. No Celtic are not that far ahead of the others, in points at the moment yes but there is a long way to go in the league and despite their wealth I can foresee a number of difficult matches ahead for them. Fingers crossed OFW will be back, his experience is vital for this match and that is no slur on anybody else. We will miss Tremarco but what an able deputy we have in David Raven. I am not in any despairing mode for this match the lads will give it a real go and we should acquit ourselves well.
