The 19-year-old midfielder has emerged as a huge talent in recent months, and is now being talked of in the same bracket as Ryan Gauld - who was sold by Dundee United this summer to Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon. Christie, the son of Inverness legend Charlie, has come through the youth ranks with the Highlands outfit and made his debut late last year. He has quickly established himself at the Caldeonian Stadium and has his performances have now lead him to him attracting major interest from south of the border. It is understood more than a dozen English clubs are actively scouting him, amongst those are understood to be North East trio Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

McFadden is another who springs to mind - injuries knackered his last season, might have one more good one in him playing in midfield, not sure about up front tho.

Ah, they did actually win the league wearing that strip for the first time since 1970, so I suspect their fans probably got over the hump at all the logos :-)

Don't think its a case of 'can't' have #13, its not banned or anything, think its a case of superstition for some players or teams and they just don't choose to wear the number. I know that, I just think it's silly that people still have these superstitions in this day and age. It's like people who number their house 12A! I think in China number 4 is considered unlucky. People scared of these things need to get a life. It's interesting the myths and legends behind these things though. One theory I've heard is it comes from the stories of the Norse gods. Nice one! I was really chuffed at the passion of the crowd at the cup final - even faced with a really dour game, we did our best to inspire the team, and up until the penalties we made as much noise as three times as many Dons fans. The flags played their part in creating that positive mentality, well done for all your work in getting it done, and kudos to the club for recognising it.

Interesting browsing the PFA's transfer list - there are a lot of out-of-contract players on there with SPL experience, to name a few: Paddy McCourt (Barnsley) Zander Diamond (Burton Albion) Alan Gow (Exeter) Danny Fox (Southhampton) Carlos Cuellar (Sunderland) and of course, the mighty Don Cowie (Cardiff) I'd be quite happy if we stuck with the squad we have, and brought in one striker - somebody proven. Finding someone who scores goals for free is not an easy task though!

I reckon our wide play has been improving in the last few games - also our set pieces look much more useful (well, less useless!) I would tentatively credit Latapy for both of those things. Our problem seems to be a shortage of width - Doran is probably our best winger, and even he tends to cut inside in situations where a cross would be much more dangerous. Ross and Christie could both play on the wing, but they seem to all wind up in the middle, trying to win the ball. This means when the opposition breaks, there is loads of space for them to pass into - we are losing the midfield battle by playing too many men there. Defence looks short of confidence, and no wonder - in too many games they have been over-run and cut to pieces. I'm guessing Hughes thought he could tighten things up defensively by changing away from the 4-2-3-1 we played under Butcher, I think he's now realised that was a mistake, and there are signs we are getting back to playing a more shrewd attacking game, and not inviting so much pressure. We've missed Foran, and we still are missing him - he's well off the pace, and obviously has ongoing problems with his knee. Draper has been great recently, but we need two players of that type on the field at a time to allow the others to attack.

Most significant in terms of being a very well-timed re-inforcement in an area where we were starting to look thin, although the players who covered when Foran, Vincent and Draper have been out did much better than I expected, kudos to Nick Ross and Liam Polwarth, neither of whom looked out of their depth. Watkins, Williams and Doran have all put in good shifts recently as well - The whole midfield has been covering each other's backs well. I would say Tansey's chief contribution is that he's fitted back in so quickly. Fair play to him.

Mr Cameron. I'm on the line now, and so are my Dad, my Mum, my brother and my aunties. You have said too much. If you don't take some of it back, then I won't be able to support the club any more, until they hold a position I can get behind again. No to Newco in the SPL.

Furthermore, the attitude of the Rangers support regarding the boycotting of clubs who speak out against them cannot be condoned, and might well mean there is little financial benefit to having them in the SPL. Regrettably we may be forced to consider ending our support of the club if they do not act for the good of the game.

I just joined after reading that. I think Proctor is badly under-rated by the fans. Remember the huns at home in February? They destroyed Meekings 1st half, Procs came on for the second and was our best player, stopped it being a real battering.
