  1. I was just reading his wickapedia page. I'm surprised that no one from a London junior club could understand someone from Bellshill. While at Manchester United, Rankin was sent to Corinthians, along with Ben Muirhead, by Alex Ferguson, to gain experience at Manchester United in the near future. However, his time there was a disaster, as he spoke about how both players struggled for food while they were there: “ We got up one day and had our breakfast but then ate no lunch and no dinner. The day after we had NOTHING to eat. Our next meal was lunch the following day. We hadn’t eaten for two days and had been at six training sessions so it was a struggle. The other players knew where to go for food but we couldn’t communicate with anyone. Corinthians in Brazil.
  2. Hi Wynthank15 can you check your message box you should find it at the top right hand side of the page
  3. 3W, 4D, 2L. Only 2 defeats in last 9 matches Pretty good going.
  4. Fair play to both teams, they've earned the right to be in the final. Tina Turner v The Proclaimers, tough one to call.
  5. Party no Pyro.
  6. Only the end of the Killy pie at Rugby Park.
  7. Have they opted for synthetic?
  8. We got the best of him last year when he knew he was going and was scoring for fun with zero pressure, before that I don't think that he had scored for months. If he didn't give himself such a hard time he would score heaps more.
  9. Last seasons goal was survival. That quickly moved to top six, moving on to making the top 4 just in case Celtic won the Scottish Cup for a place in Europe, to finishing 3rd plus a Scottish Cup. We didn't quite get the wins we were due this year with injuries to key players, signing a striker who couldn't run fast and another who didn't want to pass the ball with no end product. ( at least he's improved a lot since the start of the season) Survival will always be the first objective.
  10. Locally we can beat the 3.68% national average.
  11. What a great result and a good turn around over the last half a dozen or so games. W3, D3, L2
  12. Jings.
  13. I read that Robbie Neilson is going to appeal the yellow card for simulation in the box. Is there a new rule out regarding yellow cards? As far as I'm aware you can't even appeal a red given from 2 yellows.
  14. We seemed to cancel each other out with our defense closing them down and wr found it difficult to cut through them, although we did have some chances. Happy enough with a point and 1pt away from 7th Time to start building for next season though.
  15. They may not be as fortunate as you think. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/st-johnstone-plan-legal-action-6213541#DgYBslRGkWJoLLB5.97 It looks like the council have done a U-turn regarding removing their North Stand and now want the training ground. Have to agree though that they do seem to have good business acumen. I wonder how much additional revenue we bring in regarding our facilities but you also need the extra staff to cater for it. http://www.saintsbusinessclub.co.uk
  16. Stevie May and Michael O halloran.
  17. I would say we have kind of got to where we want to be. Which is consistently playing in the top tier, we have won the big cup, finalists in the wee Cup, finished 3rd and played in Europe. The support/ interest in ICT has grown considerably √ The skill levels of local youngsters had improved √ ICT tv √ Children are growing up supporting ICT√ The next step would be to increase the numbers actually coming to the matches as well as maintaining the standards that we have set on the pitch.
  18. Jimmy Calderwood ?
  19. Pity we don't have a possible European spot or another highland Derby to look forward to buy never mind and it looks like that win and wins elsewhere has sealed the fate of United being relegated, 8 points over 5 games is too big a gap to close. I watched the match on Alba and nice to see an intelligent freekick early on, instead of an ubiquitous sideways freekick. Some neat play on show and they deserved the win, bring on Hearts.
  20. Will be good to watch the match on Alba tonight.
  21. Even the bottom six games are looking interesting if other results don't go our way, for home games United, Killy, Dundee / Ross County Partick and Hamilton away. There's a few different possibilities A possible top six is Celtic, St Johnstone and 1 more to balance things up.
  22. Were hanging in by a hares whisker for top six. Even Motherwell could get knocked out of the top half on the league on Saturday.
  23. 97,98,99 coming ready or not.
  24. Of course sneckboy, you are 100% correct, I never implied making things up, just assumed ailments may be exaggerated slightly. Just one of those things and I've heard of many a manager wanting a game called off over the years but it never seems to happen. Hope they're all fit and well for Friday night.
  25. And who employs the doctor? So what if all of your keepers are suspended?
