  1. Dougal, a South African missionary once asked me the question how do you eat an elephant. Its the principle behind the beer, its the will for change, to improve, to listen, to reward the fans, to look after them to give them a home and home is where the heart is. Unless you have shouted and sang till your throats sore at TCS or any stadium, by that I mean starting the noise and not adding on to whats being sung, if you havent then your opinion of the prawn sandwich brigade doesnt really carry much weight. We are all important to ICT. Thats the young and the mature, premerger, locals, the Highlands and beyond. they all matter. A. Piece by piece.
  2. If the club didn't have a bar I would say you were on to something, we would need a fire resistant tent, permission from the council and a trading license, all a bit pricey. how about trying to utilise the existing bar a bit more frequently.
  3. Not a bad idea, even having a grass area instead of a smoking area may even bring back some of the stay aways.
  4. If the beer was on tap I'd maybe spend more time there but guinness out of a can just isnt the same. Why dont you take that up with the club Alex, I wouldnt mind a nice cool freshly poured pint myself before KO, now that would be ace. Next you will be wanting one of the bands from the likes of Mad Hatters to play there to make it more appealing to youngsters, Lol. Im not sure if even the old Highland league clubs had that. Think the reason for no tap beer is that it wouldn't be cost effective considering the bar is only used for a short while prematch. Ask them anyway.
  5. Is Billy Baxter still local ? And he supported a Highland league club in his youth. Failing that email the NOS refs for help.

  7. Together we can build this. I hope Partick don't wont to put that on a flag. Lol
  8. Why not try out the clubs pub before Ko.
  9. I was looking at the prices and a 16-25 year old can take along a coulple of under 12s sit in the family section and it would only average out at £9.50 a game if they bought a season ticket and the kids go free. or only £13.15 a game if they were older than 25, not bad eh.
  10. So to sum it up if Caley had gone it alone they would be somewhere between bust and regulars in the europa league and would have between 300 & 20,000 fans, their stadia would be on the high school grounds and the kids would get taught in the old b&q
  11. Wow, I might win a £5 mug for a £11 donation, count me in if you get some new sponsors.lol
  12. If you can get another 5 NEW signings, then I will contribute again too. I wouldnt mind the chance of winning a training top at the end of the season.
  13. Did Caledonian once have scratch cards, I can remember a school pals dad winning a major prize, in fact there was a bit of a problem because too many people won it.
  14. Thats why it is important to create a home for ICT fans and a sense of belonging, we are the fans, we embrace the wind, hail and snow, its our home and onward we shall go. We are the Pride of the Highlands and that is what WE are. Caley always were !! Doubt if the Howden End will ever come near to being recreated. Doesnt that contradict a statement you once made (cant remember when) that you more or less said that you wanted to hand over the reigns to the youth in the North Stand, Im assuming that you were humbles/impressed by the younger fans at a match that day. Just like Ive been on many an occasion.

  16. I think its a great idea, play a set way, tell everyone you will only play a certain way, then when our back four are being over run by an attacking 2,4,4 as you now expect, meekings kicks a beauty up to Aaron on the left wing combined with Marley on the right opens up the centre backs and Billy scores down the middle.
  17. Is it a debate?
  18. How about channeling you energy into the future and thinking about how you can help galvanise the club, fans and community. After all one half of your club is you child, the other half is your stepchild. How about looking after both of them. With the same interest. They are growing up fast, so what can you do to help them on their way.
  19. Lets look at what you could have won. Im still waiting for Sheepslagger, Wynthank15 and Crownboy49 to get in touch, so if you know them ask them to send me a message. Oddquine your flag has been passed on as requested, I gave it to a 5 year old (who isnt a current ICT fan) he chose the Together We Believe flag and he wants to put it up on his wall and his mum is now looking to enroll him in the Summer Hotshots Programme.
  20. Good work, you certainly have a talent for composing tv footage, I think you could be a great asset to the club this season.

Hopefully you're right and we can look forward to seeing a wider selection of food . That would depend on the current contract stipulations with the current pie suppliers. If you were to do a servery speed trial, subway and coffee, v pie and a coffee. you would think pie and coffee would win hands down. However I have been informed that Man City have a Subway outlet and it works fine and look how many fans they have, they just have a more basic set menu, everything is preped up fresh, wrapped up and ready to serve. Dougal I think you will find a few improvements this coming season, its 20 years on, the club are forever looking after the youngsters to maintain and grow the fan base, its also good to see some money coming back to look after the fans who invest in the club over the years. Ideally, I would like to see the fans happy, stimulated, perked up, vibrant, full of energy and ready for action before KO. Lets make every home match a good day out. Break the routine, please break the mould. Enter the bar, for a few beers nice and cold. Enter the stadium and let the story unfold.
  22. The prizes and flags have now been despatched, the response has been very good and I am now only waiting on 3 replies from fans for an address. I will try and put up a picture later of the prizes, as Jim Bowen would say "lets look at what you could have won."
  23. The above picture was the design at the very early stages. Its a bit hard to make out against the back ground.
  24. I can do better than that, I have one of the early prototypes, that don't have any logos, designs or colour. I'm open to offers.
  25. Top six next year is top six this year. Dougal is six this year
