  1. I was also proved wrong, I thought it was a bad appointment at the time going by his previous managerial record. I am happy I have been proved wrong and I think that considering our position against budget is our most successful manager to date and if he does go I hope it is the right way and he can leave with the reputation as an ICT legend which I think he deserves. Largely agree. Turned out to be a much better manager than I thought he would be but, in my opinion, not quite a club legend although that would change if he stayed until the end of the season at least and landed us our first major national trophy or a place in Europe or, ideally, both. First manager to take us to the top six makes him a legend in my eyes particularly on a shoestring budget but agree Europe or a cup win would elevate that status

  3. Hopefully that was their giant killing done for a season
  4. Perhaps I am reading it with my pessimist glasses on but I feel Butcher is not ruling Hibs out, quotes such as "I don't want to want to answer questions if its all if's buts and maybes" . Perhaps he is just using this all as a tool for contract negotiations but I will be glad when that new contract is signed and this thread goes the dame way as the Barnsley one.
  5. Find it a bit strange that there has been no statement from Hibs stating that no contact had been agreed with Butcher
  6. I would be very surprised if Butcher does go if he does not take his backroom team with him and possibly with a couple of players in the window, just hope he remembers his valuation of McKay
  7. Niel Warnock , or have i heard that somewhere before?
  8. As much as I like Robbo not for me I am afraid, look what happened the last time we took a manager back
  9. Up until now the board have chosen Managers wisely (apart from Brewster second time around) I am confident they will get it right again
  10. Scotsman online now reporting he has agreed terms, devastating news and a huge surprise to me I thought he may move on in time but to Hibs???
  11. When you see it I am glad there is not much about us in it
  12. A fairly impressive one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcCwuu6L0ac
  13. Does anyway remember a local band "Intrinsic Intellectuals" had a single out called Radio Iceland, seen them live in Inverness but can't remember where?
  14. Maybe not a tactical maestro but I don't believe we could be in the lofty position we are if he did not have a decent grasp on tactics.
  15. Bad defeat but what is important now is how we bounce back from it. A lot of unnecessary panic on here, lets hope it was just one of those days.
  16. We will always be known as the Rangers of the North by some but who really cares, we know better. I don't know the motives for those flying the Union Jack but I have seen flags of many nations at many grounds and I, maybe naively, think that there are in support of players from that country that play for their club. There is certainly no place for sectarian chanting at ICT and while I would prefer to see just plain old ICT flags I also don't get worked up when I see another flag, particularly when it has Inverness written on it.
  17. Ex player Martin Lisle doesnt look to happy in the background, at least I think its him
  18. I haven't seen the blessing bit myself but in the P&J today in "In my view" Terry Butcher he said "My Chairman will be pleased because there is a lot of expense going into Europe and I would ask for a bigger squad" with Butcher also saying "I don't think our club could possible cope with Europe" Perhaps just realistic but probably better not said as definitely not what fans want to hear
  19. If it costs money rather than generate it I doubt it.
  20. Very poor performance, felt for young Pepper when he was hooked after 30 mins he did look lost. Would have bitten your hand of to finish 4th at the start of the season but now its a season of what could have been.
  21. I think one of the big differences this season is that we were lucky on the injury front for the first part of the season, with a small squad injuries are always going to make it difficult.
  22. In the P&J Butcher said that the Chairman would be "pleased". Lovely to see a bit of ambition
  23. I think they were playing an April fool on you when they said they liked it....awful
  24. Yep very few believed at the start of the season including myself. It has been an incredible season that will live long in the memory.
