  1. My only issue with that is if there is no time for proper coaching why change the system of the team if there is no time to work on it on training ?
  2. I would love to go back to the stripes, while this seasons strip is not bad I have never really taken to it, but if its one of our better sellers I must be in the minority
  3. To be honest the thought of sacking Hughes now is nothing short of ridiculous ,lets move on as his sacking is rightfully not going to happen yet and the man needs to be given time to put his own stamp on the team, only then can he be judged.
  4. I go to games to watch my team and to say the 21 pound I pay is for nothing is not true it goes towards keeping my team financially stable while I get to watch my team. Building another stadium or upgrading ours in the hope it would attract more fans would be pure folly.
  5. Must be very frustrating for the club to see such a poor attendance despite the excellent offers.
  6. Good 3 points yesterday and great to see Billy score.
  7. I certainly wasn't calling for his head but expressed concerns, this video does nothing to stop these concerns that will only happen on the pitch
  8. My brother is a very likeable, enthusiastic, fun character who happens to be the same age as Yogi. He can also talk a good game. Not sure that qualifies him as the best candidate for next manager though. I agree and i'm not talking about what does or doesn't qualify him for the job. He wasn't my choice for the job but the matter is that he is here and we have two choices to make: Get on with it and support the team irrespective of the fact that the manager maybe isn't our cup of tea (at the moment, maybe he'll win us over?) Put pressure on him and try and pick holes in his management anytime we have any kind of negative result. The fact is that we operate on one of the lowest, if not the lowest budgets in the SPFL and for two or three years we have perhaps been overachieving but it's important that we take heed and remember where we have come from. We're now an established premiership team, fighting for the top six each year and battling away against 'bigger teams' in the cup. I don't agree with this. The board should have got rid of Brewster before they did. It was all very gentlemanly but not the right thing for the club to stick with Brew - another nice guy that talked a better game than Yogi. I think comparisons between Brewster and Yogi are ridiculously unfair. Yes, it's not gone all that well so far but it's early days - give the man a chance. Not sure I agree with this. Fans will make their mind up on a purely footballing/results basis. The board will take financial matter into account too. I would expect the average fan to get disgruntled before the board do more often than not. I don't think we are at pitch-fork sharpening time yet, though. I agree that the average fan will get disgruntled before the board will (especially in Inverness) but what i do firmly believe is that we have a brilliant chairman who is solely looking after the clubs interest and when we have someone like that in charge, I am happy to accept his appointments until the time comes for change. This is not a dig at the board as I think they are doing a remarkable job financially but are there any real "football people" involved on the board anymore, and by football people i mean involved in football on the playing side etc?.We don't have a DOF anymore and it appears that his leaving the club had a something to do with the appointment of Hughes. I think they took the cheap option.
  9. Whatever you think of Butcher he made average players good players, I am afraid Yogi has made them average players
  10. Lets face it on recent form we are a bottom 6 club possibly near the play off place, Yogi won a cup semi final against possibly the worst Hearts team in recent memory. Should he be sacked?, no he needs to be given time. Am I worried? yes very
  11. I do agree that we were becoming predictable, but not so sure we would have been taken to the cleaners with Pawlett out and Hayes being taken off early, yes perhaps if we had played Yogis 4-4-2 but I think under the previous system we are a match for anyone and personally I would have preferred to stick with that until after the final. The players were used to that system and Billy thrived in it, take away his goals, which have happened and we offer very little in terms of an attacking threat.
  12. Instead of one that is a proven goalscorer? not many of them around on our budget. We/Mckay were scoring goals under the previous system, had our highest ever finish why change that.
  13. I do have my doubts about Yogi but then again I had my doubts about Butcher when he arrived, the very least he deserves is a chance and not to be personally abused.
  14. To be honest I find it quite funny, and to think the man gets paid fro writing that
  15. Can i choose Europe now ??
  16. What next....mmm, I don't mean to be pessimistic they day after our biggest ever game, and what a great achievement it was to reach the final and come so close to winning it but I am a bit worried about what next. Butcher used him Steve Marsella to great effect and took in some gems that fitted in with our budget, then him and Mo managed got the best out of those players and a whisker away from Europe, Hughes doesn't have the luxury of Marsella and I think that is a worry. I don't want to judge Hughes on tactics etc as he has to put his own stamp on the team and that will take a bit of time, our time under Butcher was quite remarkable and seeing how we progress under Hughes will be interesting while also a bit worrying.
  17. Billy McKay was never a million pound player. I am referring to the price tag placed on him by club in the January window. The point is that he is not the same player and is not getting scoring chances Agree that he is not the same player since Yogi arrived, still works as hard just the system isn't suiting him
  18. Billy McKay was never a million pound player.
  19. Rainbow ok understand, thanks
  20. I don't think this thread is particularly negative, what was your thoughts on the standard of freekicks yesterday ?
  21. Surprised by Yogis comments that Aberdeen were the better football team, while I don't think we were very good I certainly don't think they were any better
  22. To be fair the standard of freekicks from both sides was equally as bad yesterday
  23. I find it a little bit sad that some folk are happy just because we didn't get humped, our recent record against Aberdeen has been fairly good and I think we gave them to much respect at the start
  24. Totally agree a superb display well organised and really looked the part
  25. Agree that Christie is a real prospect for the future. realise I will probably get a hard time for this but I am not a huge Foran fan and I think he should have been hooked earlier. I was not saying we should have played it totally open such as recent 4-4-2 but we had no flair and Doran could have provided that if he started.
