  1. Inclined to agree with others sentiments. Having watched the highlights Austin made himself look like a dick. Anthony made a cracking run and didn't have much in the way of options until Austin arrived 20 minutes after the ball had gone. It says a lot about him. He gets odd goals but he is hardly a goal machine. He can be lazy, fails to read the game at times, and also seems to be a couple of seconds off the pace with his decision making. For me young Anthony is a way better player who is sharper, quicker, and offers much more than Austim - just wish we could keep him. I would happily say goodbye to Austin to give the lad Austin's wages.
  2. Let's hope I am wrong ...
  3. Christ, Coco the clown has employed the fecking joker as CEO! A very chequered past has our Mr Gardiner with other clubs - not too much favourable to say about him. Could this be an all new low for Coco's, so far appaulling, judgement?!
  4. Great fight from the boys considering they were playing 13. One of those nights where everything was against us but we kept battling until Robbo made 2 ridiculous substitutions. Austin was ineffective as per usual - why take off arguably our most influential player on the park for our most ineffective when chasing a lead? Why take off our captain and one of the most experienced players? Sorry Robbo but you got those horribly wrong! You can't blame the players for your poor judgement and decision making! Football association have got ot be embarrassed by the ref's display and on tv too! I wouldn't let him ref an under 2's game!
  5. If you get chance take a wee peek at the highlights from the U18's v Ayr. Our final goal from our Brazillian is an absolute cheeky peach! Do we reckon he isready for a first team debut? Do we reckon it might be time we saw a bit more of some the youngsters who are coming along leaps and bounds?!
  6. I can see why Robbo has included Mateus in the last couple of squads. The finish for the 5th goal was sublime. Really promising youngster. We really need to get him and Dan more game time.
  7. Don't fancy a job as our Chairman do you? I'm asking for a friend ...
  8. I applaud you Lizi. Hope is not enough. Like hoping we don't go part-time or worse go into administration. Hope won't stop that from happening. Attending games is only going to keep the current board in place and will lead to problems sooner or later. Better to take action than live in hope becuae only actions will make the necessary changes. The board need to understand the levels of dissatisfaction with the fans ... the ones who make the club what it is.
  9. Would you travel a 1000 miles at a cost of £300 a time to know your money is being frittered away by board members intent on feathering the nests of themselves and their family members at the cost of the progression of the club at pitch level? I doubt you would be feeling too enthusiatic. The current board, well some of them need to go. We don't have the capacity for dead weight including our current chair, Graham "coco the clown" Rae. "By supporting the players you are papering over the cracks which then allows the board to continue in such a bad vein. People keep asking why we are haemorraging supporters and why the stadium is always so empty ... well there you have it! We need to cut the rot out of the club before we can begin to grow. Happy clapping our way along will only lead to part-time football or insolvency. It really is that simple.
  10. Very true. Have they got us out of the Championship? ... no. Does it look like it will happen soon? ... probably not! Would we have stronger players if the budget was there? ... absolutely! Why hasn't extra investment been found or sourced? ... the clowns on the board (well some of them). A good tender for catering could have brought in much needed money but instead it goes out to a family member ... dodgy? Absolutely. Good people in the backroom leaving like rats from a sinking ship spell issues with the board? ... absolutely. We can all be happy clappers until the club folds or we go to part-time football or we can begin to address the issues at the heart of our current status. What happens in the boardroom affects what goes on whilst on the pitch!
  11. Just leave this here ...
  12. Spot on! If Rae doesn't want to be there he should step down, and take his nepotism with him. Most other clubs wouldn't put up with this kind of amateurish crap so why should we?! We have lost some really good people to these clowns and the ring leader is Rae. I wish he would F£$k off and join the circus.
  13. And so the plot thickens. "It is with regret ... " my arse. It's more like " You saw off the wife of my cousin from her job acquired through nepotism ... so you can do one." Bloody shambles. Normally you cut out the rot from the good stuff but we seem to be cutting out the good stuff and leaving the rot.
  14. Some of us don't just wander across the city and spend £30 on match day. I have over a 1000 mile round trip to make. If I don't like the way the board is operating and spending cash ie on catering companies run by the cousin of the Chair then I am very unlikely to make that kind of effort. The last home game cost me over £300 to get there, watch a shambles of a display because we don't have the money for decent players, and knowing that nepotism and petty politics within the board is partly responsible for that, then I am less likely to make those sacrifices in the future. And I am not the only one that feels that way.
  15. Usual smoke and mirrors then. Not actually giving answers to questions just deflecting. No transparency equals no trust. Simple formula really. You want to increase supporters then be more transparent and communicate in a better manner. As it stands I have zero trust in the majority of the current board save a couple. As a result I am less likely to make the effort to come along to games. I wouldn't be too surprised if that is the case for other supporters too. Until the current board learn to be more transparent then very little will change other than the club continuing in a downward spiral. Open communications and a hearts and minds approach from the board is what is needed.
  16. That's neither here nor there though. It is getting ridiculous that so many are going. What can't be denied is that all of this is happening under his tenure. It's a joke. He made lots of noises about things improving yet you only ever hear from him when he his reprimanding. He was happy to employ a family member whose husband gets the catering contract to boot. He can't take credit for the signing over of the stadium as that was already underway before he became Chair. Sadly, the club cannot afford to lose people of Danny's calibre. The whole thing stinks and as far as I can see, and apparently by his radio silence, Mr Rae is to blame - a small club like ours has no place for nepotism, and bordering on fraudulent mismanagement, as is the trademark of our current chair. It's no wonder the stigs over the bridge are fairing better than us when we have such a clown heading things. I have to be honest, until this tit has been removed I can't see me being arsed to do the 1000 mile round trip to watch a game. Maybe when people stay away he might get the message and FO. I would like to see someone like Ross taking the Chair. Someone whose heart is in the club. Someone who could really push things forward and gain the support and respect that our current chair doesn't have. #Rant over.
  17. Complete lack of transparency from the club again. No surprise. Nest of vipers. Come on then Mr Rae let us hear the latest glossed over response for this little lot. It seems the ivory tower is crumbling but the man at the top doesn't seem to want to engage with the very people who pay his wages. Sorry but nepotism and a holier than thou attitude seems to be the character of our current Chair. Maybe time to go Mr Rae! We have very little to show for your time in charge and we are haemorraging good people left, right and centre. The buck stops with you so do the decent thing and step down. What we need is someone at the top who is a person of the club not the current model of management that is Mr Rae.
  18. Absolutely. It reeks of the underhand which is sadly how I am beginning to view the tenure and activities of our current Chairman. Not good at all!
  19. Just sent an email Ross but it's been bounced back as undeliverable. It would be good to get some points over to you to get across to the board.
  20. I guess a little more regular updates from the board wouldn't go a miss but sacking the board is a bit extreme. There were promises made just over a year ago and noises made about improving things on the comms front but they seem to be a little slow to materialise. The ground deal has hopefully now gone through so that's one box ticked. Hopefully that can help us attract a little investment? It's been mentioned before about using the stadium for gigs etc - surely worth a punt if it helps pay a few wages and it gets people into the habit of going to the stadium? Seems to me that to get bums on seats we need an improvement in performances on the pitch - this needs money obviously. Sadly, at present we seem to be in a downward spiral - poor performances, less bums on seats, less interest from possible investors, leading to less money for players, and subsequent poor performances. We have to find a way to break the vicious cycle.
  21. Just watched the highlights and we were pissshhhh. There was nothing of note from us at all. In games like that Robbo should've cut his losses and given the youngsters a run out. Perhaps then some of the "seasoned" pro's might get a wake up call. We never really looked like winning and after the goal went in a loss was on the cards so he had nothing to lose and much to gain. If one or two of the youngsters put in a bit of a performance then it creates a little competition for the established names, who if I am completely honest, look too comfortable as if they are unlikely to be dropped. There is no motivator there so until Robbo does do something, or becomes a bit more ruthless, these pissshhhh performances will continue.
  22. All done. Reminds me of my Sports Psychology Diss that I undertook with the club in 1999. I got to spend a few weeks around the club profiling players and their attributions towards performance. Fond memories of Bobby Mann - his profile spiked through workrate attribution. Charlie Christie had a spike through team performance. It was the best time of my whole undergrad career. Good luck with it Ross!
  23. We got Angus in an exchange with Mulraney but he has zero appearences for us. So, we swapped a player that occassionally turned up for one that doesn't and maybe a couple of peanuts thrown into the bargain. Anyone know what is happening with him? Has Robbo wasted a wage needlessly? Players are few and far between and it seems Beith is a drain on resources.
  24. But he has the ability to finish. A very similar player to Walsh but a little more quality. These two paired up will really open the wings up, allow White etc to finish the stuff in the box, and free Polly (hopefully) to start to boss from Midfield. As much as I hate to say it we are missing a player like Vigurs in the midfield and Polly hasn't filled the void left by him completely - he is getting there slowly but we need urgency now if we are to make the play offs. On the whole though, the squad has some real potential.
  25. McCauley is well worth a punt if he can do this for us ... perhaps teach the donkey's up front to finish ... if we sign him he may well save our season. https://twitter.com/bbcsportni/status/992781578383364097?lang=en
