  1. Ian Fraser in his ICT scarf a few years back
  2. Ex ICT player Robert Eagle scored the opening goal in his sides Lowestoft Town's 3-0 victory over i Hornchurch FC in the play off final to gain promotion to the Conference in front of a crowd of 2970 at The Meadow this afternoon
  3. With three minutes left of normal time a roar went up from the Inverness end that would have curdled the blood of every Don at Celtic Park. When Andrew Considine wrestled Richie Foran in the Aberdeen box there was an expectation of a penalty. It happened down the end of the ground where the Inverness fans were housed. Under their noses. They could smell victory. Penalty! GOAL ! Final whistle! Inverness's glory. Aberdeen's pain. Again. The collective howl fell on deaf ears. Steven McLean waved play on. Foran screeched in protest but to no avail. Foran was right, McLean was wrong. It should have been a penalty. It should have been an opportunity for Inverness to go a goal up with time almost done. It should have been, but it wasn't. Football is a cruel, bloody game.
  4. I see that it is not just the natives in Leith getting restless but a bit in todays Herald tells its own story and picture of old Tel given his next two fixtures are against in form Motherwell and next Wednesday against us things aint going to improve anytime soon. Shell-shocked commander in chief has a battle on his hands with Hibs Published on 3 March 2014 It did not take Terry Butcher long to get the Hibernian look. It was all jokes and stories and joshing from "big Tel" when he breezed in from the north in November. The man's effervescence illuminated Easter Road like floodlights being switched on in a cemetery. That is what the place needed and we have not seen the last of that loud character, but Butcher now cuts a darker, more troubled figure. He has been cloaked by the Hibs malaise, which drains the joy and optimism from a man and replaces them with worry and stress.
  5. Who iin our team is sitting on previous round bookings tomorrow and would miss the Final should they get yellow card
  6. John Hughes was always on about getting on the boiler suits and grafting at the coal face...no mention of red wine anymore !
  7. If it is the case that Hartley has ruled himself out along with Shiels for what ever reason why dont the board take a little longer to make this important decision another week won't matter in the scheme of things lets not be rushed because our first choice of manager has turned the job down it would be a huge mistake to make a panic appointment
  8. He's yesterdays news ...time to move on !
  9. Chris Harvey is not at the stadium in fact he is not even in Inverness he is getting info from Nicola McAlley and her TV cameraman who are outside the stadium
  10. Having heard Maurice Malpas interview on various TV channels tonight if you look at its content and his body language it would appear he plans to stay at ITC. He talked about Terry having a decision to make not we have a decision to make and he said clearly he will remain in the ICT dugout until someone tells him otherwise. When talking about the Hibs game he could have given a bland football cliché answer to endear himself to his new prospective employer instead told grittily about how hard they had trained and importance of getting the 3 points from Hibs in Edinburgh. Added to which it would appear that Steve Marsala has distanced himself from all the speculation and has stated to one of the keepers that he will not be going to Hibs as part of a dream team. Maybe just speculation but perhaps Petrie can afford Terry Butcher but cannot afford the other two given that he would have to compensate not only ICT but a package for an outgoing Jimmy Nichol and their present goalkeeping coach. The dilemma facing Terry Butcher might not be accepting the job at Hibs but going it on his own again without the rest of his successful backroom team
  11. Not often I agree with Graham Spiers but his piece in todays Herald Newspaper contain some wise words of caution for Mr Butcher Hibs in the past decade has proven quite a graveyard for promising managers. In their different ways, just ask John Collins, John Hughes, Colin Calderwood or Pat Fenlon. In fact, six of the last eight Hibs managers have left under a cloud, either via the sack or some other rumpus. So the omens are not good for any promising figure who goes in there. Butcher is the clear favourite for the Hibs job. The question he has to ask himself is, does it make sense to go there? He may ultimately believe that, in coming up for five years at the helm of Caley Thistle, it is time for a change. He cannot stay at the Highland club forever. ICT's crowds are depressingly low, in spite of their recent success, and Butcher may feel he has given as good as he can at the club. If Butcher does leave for Hibs it will mark the end of one of the greatest manager/club acts in recent Scottish football history. Butcher and Caley Thistle have been tremendous to behold, a story of progress, colour and fine football achievement. At Easter Road, will he find the same? Hmmm
  12. Dont be surprised if the board go for another high profile candidate in Henrik Larsson with Foran as an Assistant. Larsson has done all his coaching badges hand has never hidden his ambition to return to Scotland (of course his eventual aim would be to replace Lennon at Celtic) ICT would get a guy with world class experience having been at Ajax , Celtic , Barcelona and Man Utd and also has retained his cotacts throughout Europe and would a name who would attract players to Inverness. His profile is also fits ICT he's a family guy, his wife is country horsey type, kids are grown up no school issues and given he is a very wealthy guy money would not be his main issue.
  13. Manager Terry Butcher is taking training with the team as usual today in INVERNESS All those reports on Hibs.net that that a Hibs player's ,second cousins ,best friends Auntie had told him there would be a press conference at Easter Road today to unveil Butcher and Malpas are wrong !

  18. Reported on twitter page @scottburns75 tonight (Scott Burns from Daily Express) that Andrew Shinnie has agreed a deal with Birmingham City and will join them in the summer
  19. After his semi final defeat at Easter Road today Craig Brown has told his players that only 3rd place in the SPL is acceptable behind Motherwell (who he says are clearly the second best team in Scotland ) and he also stated his side are 3rd best. He also added how unlucky they were today and the other games at the start of 2013 and if they had scored first in these games they would be comfortably be siting 3rd in the league. No mention of ICT being 5 points ahead of them 2 games in hand and a better goal difference of 11 goals.
