  1. While it would be good to get something from Hearts, the Utd one is more important, as a win next week would make it highly unlikely that they could catch us.
  2. Smash and grab was exactly what it was today. Motherwell came for a point. We went after 3 in injury time and paid the price.
  3. The problem with the first was our keeper didn't deal with the cross and so was out of position when the ball came back in. I though Draper was pretty ineffectual until they scored. After that he seemed to come onto a game. We looked so much more dangerous when our midfield ran at them. I thought the official choice of Mutombo as MoM was spot on. He looked our biggest threat.
  4. He was being a total bellend on the radio.
  5. I'm honest enough to say that Yogi needs to get it sorted. Pretty quickly.
  6. Actually, I think Meekings is ok at right back. It is certainly preferable to when Devine played at right back. Today's goals were nothing to do with the defence. The first was a mare for Fon Williams, the second because we were trying to win the game.
  7. The Roberts thing is baffling. Don't think we need to win the Hearts game, but the Utd game is a must win.
  8. We do OK against the better teams - which is a relief. If we hadn't got 16 points agains Aberdeen and County we would be definite favourites for relegation. The injury/bad luck thing masks the fact that Hughes recruitment has been questionable. We needed another striker while Mckay was on our books. So we were one short when we had Ofere. We have signed a succession of not-strikers since Ofere left, so it is no surprise we have struggled to score. it is all very good playing pretty football, but there is no threat up front. Mutombo looked threatening today, but we have seen all season that one player can't do it on their own. We have also failed to replace the one bit of class we had in our team Ryan Christie.
  9. Let Macdonald away with murder. No booking for Lasley at the penalty. No booking at the end for celebrating with fans, allowed Ripley to waste ridiculous amounts of time. And that's just for starters. Oh oh and missed a push by Draper and a bit of basketball by Vigurs - who he was standing right beside. He was woeful in the 9 man semi v Hearts, and has pretty much matched that nadir every other time I have seen him. If we could have Andrew Dallas for the Dundee Utd game, then my shyte ref bingo card can be completed in a week
  10. I don't think there was too much wrong with the tactics today. If I was being critical then we weren't quite as direct as at Dingwall. We didn't exactly cover ourselves with glory at either goal - Fon Williams should have dealt with the cross, and I'm not sure how the resulting shot went in. For the winner, either the last man (Horner, I think) or the keeper should have halted Johnson. The subs were attacking, and Storey wasn't doing much. Not sure about Meekings though And no booking for any Motherwell players in the resulting celebration?
  11. Oh joy. If Collum is half as bad as Beaton today he will be worse than terrible.
  12. Nope. We were pressing for a winner and got hit by a sucker punch break away. Although somebody should have professional fouled Johnson and taken one for the team.
  13. The 4th official could have negated the ball thing if he'd being paying any attention. After the second time, he could have made sure he had a ball ready to put on. Instead, each time he waited, and then had to find a ball. But then again, clueless officials shouldn't surprise me.
  14. If we set our tactics out to make use of him winning the ball in the air, then he can do a job.
  15. He was a nuisance. That works if there is support to pick up the second ball, which I thought we did well today. County couldn't cope with him.
  16. Hughes must stay? Or is he feeling sheepish?
  17. That was awesome. If we play like that every week we will be fine, but it does pose the question as to why we haven't being playing like that every week! Big let off just before we scored. Tremarco hit the bar, but then County broke, but Jackass Irvine put the ball out off the post when 1 on 1 with Fon Williams. Polworth's opener was a well taken shot across the keeper and then Draper was played in and he doubled our lead. Storeys was the pick of the bunch, a dipping shot that left Woods with no chance. That eased the nerves, and after that we controlled the game. Polworth hit the bar, and then Fraser should have conceded a penalty when he stopped the ball with his hand but Blobby 'Stevie Wonder' Madden decided it was on the edge of the box. Pretty much pass marks all round. I thought Meekings and Tremarco provided good width. It looks like someone may have had a word with Devine, as he was taking no chances today, while Warren was solid. Storey put in a power of work, and the midfield was generally solid, although Vigurs could have seen a second yellow if Madden hadn't been in bottle it mode. Hughes put in a shift up front, and although he is no centre forward, he was a damn nuisance - it looked like Davies was hooked at half-time because he couldn't cope. Same again v Motherwell, please.
  18. Did we use unintelligible tactics?
  19. **** ********** *****' ****
  20. Stuart McCall? Seriously? The best chance would be if Deila left Celtic, Stubbs replaced him and McCall took over at Hibs. That's the only way he'd save us.
  21. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  22. Dowden's reporting is pretty much always gash. Waste of licence payers money giving him a salary.
  23. But I'm sure we passed the ball about a lot.
  24. Wasn't at the game, so these are more general points. The hibs game isn't so much an irrelevance as an unnecessary distraction. We have a serious job of work on our hands regarding survival. With nine games to play, we need to start winning again, but it is hard to see how that can happen as we seem incapable of scoring. Alternatively, if we didn't lose again then that would be more than enough, I reckon, but we can't keep a clean sheet either. The saving grace may well be that we aren't one of the worst two teams, but unless we start to play like we actually believe that then the run in will be at best bum-squeaking and at worst could see us end up in the championship. Oh, and a punishing 120 minutes with a multitude of injuries and red-cards wouldn't go amiss between County and Hibs tomorrow.
  25. And has pretty much done feck all at Hibs.
