  1. Feck. And a goal for Partick too. Was looking good til then.
  2. Sadly, this season we also have a honking record in those that aren't.
  3. This is the worry for me. Although most of the others will still have to play the erse cheeks and Hearts, we could be a long way behind after these three games.
  4. It is cut-throat from bottom to sixth. As long as we stay in that pack, we just need to put a run of good results.
  5. Was Griffiths booked for the challenge on Polworth?
  6. Did he not come on as a sub against Celtic in that game?
  7. Given the problems we have had with too many centre midfielders, and that King is back, we can probably deal with losing Vigurs. Tremarco is more of a loss given his recent form.
  8. Could, and probably should, have won that. Thought the Hearts defence were all over the place in the first half, and might have got more than two goals. Hearts first goal came after a slip by one of our defenders and changed the momentum of the game. Hearts were obviously told to be more physical in the second half, and unfortunately the referee was complicit in allowing them to do that. The first equaliser was disappointing in that the ball was allowed to travel a long way. It was pleasing that we came back to take the lead, but then we sat too deep, struggled to get the ball out, and it felt like a matter of time before we conceded again. In fact it felt like we were hanging on a bit at the end. Given that we lost Fon Williams and Tremarco, I'd have happily taken a point, but it does feel a bit like a missed opportunity. I though Doombouya played well, he held the ball up,well and took his goal well. The Hearts centre backs were all over him - it was like WWE at times - and a stronger referee would have given him more protection. Polworth stuck to his wide position well, and it was good to see Doran back - I think he gave us an out. The defence generally coped well with the changes, and I though Mackay had a steady game. Hearts seemed quite happy to be physical when it suited them, but became unbelievably fragile when they were tackled. Walker in particular wouldn't have looked out of place in a synchronised diving team. The referee was appalling. The yellow cards he was flashing at the end were ridiculous, and identical fouls at the other end were not similarly punished. He fell for everything Hearts did, and the stuff he missed was embarrassing. A decent display by us, and at least there was plenty of entertainment today.
  9. And same repertoire of odious 'folk' songs.
  10. Was Kingsmills ever liquidated? Is he in fact a zombie? We need to know.
  11. McIntyre is the biggest example of Sportsound's obsession with the OF. He just can't wait to turn the conversation round to the erse cheeks.
  12. If I was on the Celtic staff, I'd think that the referee had a good game too. If Draper was that slow, couldn't Sviatchenko just have run round him rather than barging him over? And the trip on King in the box has gone completely unnoticed too!
  13. Certainly looked a foul to me. Draper looked in control of the ball, and although he moved towards the defender, it was to shield the ball. Started outside the box, but it sounds like the rules allow a penalty to be given in those circumstances. Finally, the new rules allow a yellow card if the foul was from a genuine attempt to play the ball. That was simply a barge with no attempt to play the ball, and so a red card would not have been unreasonable. I am quite surprised that we didn't get these decisions against Celtic.
  14. I'll take a point at pittoddrie, but to be honest Aberdeen were there for the taking. Thought that Brad Mckay had a good game at right back, and overall the defence looked quite solid. We created some decent chances - Polworth hit the bar , and Draper sliced wide when all he had to do was hit the target. I didn't see how close the Draper shot at the start of the second half was - was still waiting while the tea kiosk served 1 customer an hour. The equaliser was an absolute peach though. There was a hint of offside from Rooney at their goal, and it certainly looked like a foul in the build up. We definitely showed some grit today, which was good to see. If we can get Doran back starting, that might give us the creative spark we are still missing. The ref gave them absolutely everything today - I was pleased to see Foran on having a word at half-time. The criteria for bookings seemed completely different for both teams. Given the focus on simulation, I am surprised that the media don't mention how easily and dramatically Aberdeen players go down. So a good point away from home, and that's us off the bottom. Onwards and upwards, but next week will be tough. Still don't get the Aberdeen love in though. They aren't really that good, although, to be fair that lad they got on loan from Norwich looks a good player.
  15. By "telt", I take it you mean "to get to feck" What a disappointing shambles.
  16. Yeah. With the possible exception of the cup tie at Fir Park and the first Hibs game at Easter road, I can think of no games where we finished the stronger team. In just about every close game, it felt like we were hanging on for the last 10 minutes, usually conceding a goal in the process.
  17. Maybe it's time to solve the too many central midfielders (Draper, Vigurs, Polworth, Tansey) problem by trying to find a solution without Tansey, and try and offload him for whatever we can get in January.
  18. I've not said the source isn't accurate. I said that you can't use the comparison of two averages to compare the total value without more information. And as I haven't provided a figure, the source is bound to be more accurate than me.
