  1. Now I know you're kosher! Thinking back, one of my favourite goals of yours was against 'Well in the cup in 1990 (I think). it was p*ssing rain, and Hearts won 4-0. I can remember a newspaper picture of your celebration! That, and any of the zillion you scored against Hibs!
  2. Shurely Shome Mishtake?
  3. And actually, isn't IHE saying he was paid in Euros instead of GBP. If we gave him, for arguments sake, 200,000 euros then, as the pound falls, 200,000 euros gets closer to 200,000 GBP. I'm telling you a decent lawyer and accountant will have him owing us! PS What eejit didn't have the sell out as percentage? That way it wouldn't have mattered if the transfer had been in GBP, Euros, Rupees or, appropriately, pieces of silver.
  4. I was being sarcastic.
  5. And you're often no sure what day it is!
  6. If the pound keeps falling, and we can stretch this out, he'll end up owing us!
  7. Strange thing is, I thought he got the two big decisions (no penalty, red card) spot on - it would have been easy, and even understandable to have given them the other way. The number of smaller decisions he got wrong was scary.
  8. Could be!
  9. All I know is that since Brewster went, we've looked something like. We were unlucky to get nothing at Tynecastle, and in Butcher's first 2 games we have looked solid if unspectacular. I'm sure Saturday will be a tough game, but for a change I approach the game with optimism.
  10. And to answer the original question.... On a Saturday in May, when Grant holds the cup over his head!
  11. Others class the fault line as the shortest distance between Craig Brewster and Malky Thomson.
  12. That was daylight robbery! Hope the ref is more clued up when we play them!

    Proctor

No, Kyle broke it for him.
  14. You know what, I don't think Brines even pointed to the spot. I was sitting behind the goal, and the foul happened directly in front of me. When Brines whistled, he was very careful to point at where the trip took place, not the penalty spot. At the time I thought it was a penalty, because I'd either forgotten or didn't see Fernandez running half a mile before falling over. Watching it back on telly, I thought it was a very good decision by the referee (one of few, admittedly), I think Pavel (I'm not even going to try and spell his surname!) probably played Fernandez before the ball, but it was just outside the box. Had it been at Tynecastle, it would have obviously been a free-kick to ICT and a yellow card to Fernandez for diving.
  15. The buses were running in the morning. There was no guarantee that they would have been after the game. Or are you the third incarnation of the Brahan Seer?
  16. If you can't see a connection between not travelling, and the reason for not travelling.....
  17. Thought Lionel had a good game today - as did all the defence.

    Foran

Thought he had a good first half, was anonymous for a chunk of the second half, but was really unlucky not to score when he intercepted that backpass. Looks like he's not match fit yet, but once he is he'll do a job.
  19. How did that happen! I thought they'd stopped transportation.
  20. Missed the first 20 minutes, but if it was like the rest of the first half, then it was no great loss. Burnley's second goal was a joke, two chances to clear - 1 minute before half-time, Rosscoe should have put it into the stand. We looked better in the second half, bringing Imrie on made a difference. Don't think it was down to Burnley making changes, some of the subs they brought on looked pretty decent. Barrowman looked like he'll score goals - although that inner-ear infection affecting his balance needs sorting, and Rooney seemed to work hard. If we play like we did in the second half, we should be fine. If we play like we did in the 20 minutes or so I saw of the first half, we'll be down by 5th November!
  21. Whilst it might not be possible to generate enough power to run the floodlights, it would definitely be possible to make a contribution towards the power required. Also, it is possible to sell power back to the National Grid - this scheme is already in place for those who generate their own power. There are times that you are generating more power than you need - e.g. at midnight on a very windy night. I believe that all you need is a special meter.
  22. And pray for rain?
  23. No, she's just pleased to see you. Probably part of our plan to sign Ronaldo.......
  24. Glory Hunter! :tic01: hahaha was waiting for someone to say that!!! they are my team too. Jeez. It's like the Joe Louis Arena in here!
  25. Errea make Middlesboro's tops, and they generally don't look too naff, so they can do it if they try. This strip falls into the its alright, but... category for me. As for the strips from the catalogue posted by Scotty - looks like the designer had been at Johndo's stamps!
