  1. Given they let him go in the summer, I’d be amazed if they wanted him back, particularly with his alleged extra curricular activities. I suspect he is either still in our payroll, remaining so until his contract expires, or he has had his contract paid up in full. Loan deals could be our only option, but I like the Philip Roberts suggestion. He looked good when here before. I see our priority as someone who can create chances for Mckay, Sutherland and Duku.
  2. Thanks for that. In fairness, an apology will appease me given RiG shared the link. I couldn’t get to the chat box to get any guidance from them, so would have missed out had it not been for RiG. Thanks pal!!
  3. I used the contact form in the Arbroath FC website but have not even had an acknowledgement yet. I will wait until tomorrow lunchtime, given the holidays, and then e-mail them.
  4. Garry Wood on target for Brechin today, but after being 3-0 up they lost 5-3 to Fraserburgh and ended up with only 9 players on the pitch.
  5. The club’s report on the match: https://ictfc.com/match-report-arbroath-0-0-ictfc-02-01-2022 It sounds like the 20 minutes I missed due to the livestream debacle were our best spell of the game! Anyone had a response from Arbroath about it and the refund requests?
  6. Donaldson is one of many who seemed to peak when with us and then see their career go backwards.
  7. Looking at our bench yesterday, we probably could have sought a postponement, as we only had 13 first team players, and only 1 was a goalkeeper. We had MacKay, Welsh, MacGregor, McAlear, McDonald and Jamieson missing altogether We don’t know which players in the squad had been affected by the virus or unable to train much. Reflecting on it and as a result of the recent challenges, I think the players were tasked with not losing and they achieved that. It was not pretty, in large part due to the conditions. We failed to use the wind to our advantage in the first half, but equally we stopped Arbroath using it to their advantage in the second. I don’t like seeing teams wasting time, and we were guilty of it yesterday, but it reflected the objective of not losing. With a fully fit squad, I’m sure we’d have been more positive in the second half. Hopefully we have a larger squad available for Saturday and they are all fully fit. On the downside, I see media speculation of the current restrictions continuing until the Spring. Hopefully that is just lazy reporting rather than anything with substance.
  8. Rory McAllister scored for Cove today.
  9. And a game in hand, which we must take advantage of by winning it! Another key match next weekend against Raith. They seem to be stumbling a bit too, so time to continue the good run we have against them!
  10. 0-0. Must admit that, with the conditions, I will take that given the pressure we were under in the second half. I missed half the first half due to the livestream problems, but we needed to score when we had the wind advantage. Raith drawing a bonus though.
  11. Hyde on for Walsh. A lucky escape a moment ago when Devine and Ridgers left the ball to each other and Arbroath came close.
  12. Arbroath goal disallowed for offside. As things stand I will take a point (but still hoping for three!).
  13. We are struggling to keep the ball and getting hemmed in a lot as a result. We are trying to kill the game and waste time. Not a pleasant watch just now. Then suddenly a great chance for Carson but it seemed to graze the post.
  14. Half time 0-0. Hard to comment as I missed 20 odd minutes and am only back on thanks to RiG sharing the link (thanks RiG!!). We will be playing into the strong wind in the second half so may be up against it as a result.
  15. I’ve given up and simply linked my phone to the tv and am watching the link RiG has posted above. I’ve also messaged Arbroath looking for a refund. Will let you know when I hear anything. Did I miss anything in the last 20 minutes before seeing the stream again?
  16. I’ve lost the stream now and can’t get back on it. Frustrating!
  17. Didn’t see who won the toss but they changed ends. We are playing with the wind advantage in this half.
  18. I logged in and bought today’s game with no issues and currently they are showing an interview with Dick Campbell. All I can suggest is logging out and trying again. They have a number of viewers at the top of the screen: currently 337 watching.
  19. Really short of players but still a strong starting 11. Hopefully they are all fully fit and have no after effects of injuries or Covid. Line up: Ridgers Duffy Broadfoot Devine Deas Walsh Carson Allardice Doran Mckay Sutherland Subs: Esson. Harper, Duku, Hyde and Nicolson About to tune into the livestream. The Arbroath commentary team were goo in our game there earlier in the season.
  20. I was down around 1115. The helpful girl said there had been queues earlier and 300 had been collected in the first hour. It sounds like we are well on the way to all 500 being taken up and I’ve just noticed this on the club website: https://ictfc.com/thanks-to-supporters-this-morning
  21. Thanks for that. A lot of players there i had lost track of! Its a shame you are hanging up your spreadsheet, but it is understandable. Hopefully you will still post about scorers you note. Have a great 2022!
  22. Ryan Christie for Bournemouth tonight.
  23. The club is in a “no win” position here. I’m glad they’ve not followed the likes of Dunfermline and decided not to let any fans in, but having a crowd of 500 season ticket holders means they will lose money due to the costs they will incur. I was at the Dundee game before last Christmas and it was clear there were “no shows” from the ballot. Therefore the approach being taken will ensure those who want to attend can get tickets, assuming they are in the first 500 to seek them. It is not ideal, but probably the best they can do. Its ironic the restriction is to avoid pressure on the Police and Ambulance Service, neither of whom are at our games.
