Another for Andrew MacAskill for Buckie last night.

I can’t go to this game (first home one I’ll have missed this season) and will be driving to Skye at the time so will be dependent on decent coverage on Sportsound. This is a very winnable tie and with our depleted squad there is not scope for many changes. With 3 games within the week, it will be interesting to see if recent subs get a start on Saturday or Tuesday. It will be interesting to hear how successful the experiment with encouraging support in Section A is.

Not seen a full list of Highland League scorers but our youngster Robbie Thompson scored for Clach yesterday, whilst Garry Wood scored for Brechin. Two more for Scott Boden for Borehamwood. Stumbled across Billy King now being in Ireland with St Patricks. He scored last weekend to help them finish second in the Irish Premier League. According to Wikipedia he has scored 8 league goals in his time there. On Wednesday, Lewis Hyde scored for Rothes with Jack Brown (2) and Aiden Wilson also scoring.

Not sure about Meekings but Hennem has come off the bench and scored quite often this season. Surprised Ali Sutherland was not a starter either. You saw a lot of goals!

The Raith game is in the Challenge Cup so the next league games is Friday 3rd against Killie. Incredible we are just one point off the lead after our poor run.

But we got a deserved win. We all know Doran is not best suited to plastic pitches so he was only playing due to Gardyne and Walsh being missing. Allardice rightly gets the plaudits for his performance in midfield but McAlear went about his business quietly and the whole team contributed to the win.

Tonight showed we are not far away. We’ve missed Carson and Sutherland. Both back and we win…….

I enjoyed that. First half we played some great stuff. Second half tighter. I went with Mckay for MOM, closely followed by Allardice and MacGregor, but Carson and Sutherland also had very good games. That’s only our third away win, but we deserved it, but we need to be more clinical when ahead. Much better than recent weeks though.

What a set piece. So unlucky. Doran corner perfectly to Allardice but header just wide of the post and Mckay’s attempt to touch it in. Deserved a goal.

Deservedly ahead but we need to play the full 90 tonight. MacGregor, Sutherland and Allardice have impressed most me so far, and a good penalty by Mckay. As Kingsmills says, I hope we don’t regret not getting further ahead whilst on top.
