  1. Sutherland effort stopped by great save. We need to keep this level of play up.
  2. Welsh header off post from Carson cross. Keeper would have had no chance.
  3. He’s not a natural winger. I suspect we’d see more from him in the no 10 role. Decent start to this half by us.
  4. Sutherland is putting in a real shift in the middle of the 3 playing off Toddy. He seems more effective there than when out wide.
  5. Nearly a goal by Carson.....at the wrong end!
  6. Too many squeaky bum moments early on but we’ve grown into the game and could easily have been ahead. Some encouraging signs, but if we go behind I will fear the worst after recent games. Carson has been the pick for me so far, with MacGregor not far behind (despite his miss). Todorov looks to have the beating of their defence. A tough 45 to come and we need to get the first goal as there do look to be goals in this game.
  7. At least we are being competitive now, having our share of the ball and making some chances.
  8. We should be 1 up! Shame Roddy could not get height on it after the ‘keeper saved from Mackay.
  9. We are not trying to playing out from the back as much tonight. Lucky not to be behind and conceding a lot of free kicks. We do look dangerous on the break when playing down the right with MacGregor and Carson.
  10. Agreed. Wonder if the 3 behind Toddy will rotate.
  11. Carson at right back according to BBC commentator. We will see soon enough! Based on first two minutes Carson is right back. Duffy not fully fit?
  12. I’m really uneasy. 3 5 2 is fine, but normally we’d have full backs playing as wing backs whereas we haven’t. McCann just said some of the starting 11 are carrying knocks. Only three experienced players on the bench, 2 are full backs and the other is going to Raith in the summer! Let’s hope we get a pleasant surprise between now and the full time whistle!
  13. Lack of speed in the team I fear. MacGregor and Mackay the width?
  14. Interesting they are both saying the blame lies with the players and not the management team.
  15. In case anyone wants to watch the “highlights” from last night’s poor game, they are at the foot of the article in this link: https://ictfc.com/match-report-ictfc-0-1-morton The offside decision at the end looks tight to me, but not a good angle to judge for certain. The defender close to Doran may have been playing Toddy on.
  16. I’ve had a look at the stats on this site. He has 17 appearances. Deas and Ridgers have 20 each, although if I’m reading it right one of Deas’ was off the bench, as was one of Sutherland’s. As Cammy MacKay has played twice, that must be 22 games so far, and not many wins! Only 4 in the league and squeezing past East Fife in the Betfred Cup. Incredible what you learn on the stats page. Sean Welsh shares a birthday with my youngest grandson: next Monday, although they are 30 years apart!

Likewise, I plan to renew mine regardless of the league we end up in and whether we are allowed into games. I will actually miss the livestreams of the away games as I’ve not been able to attend many in previous seasons. It would be good if some arrangement could be put in place by the SPFL that allowed such streams, even if the cost to the viewer was close to an away ticket price, but I doubt they will do it.
  18. True but we have no influence. We need those on the pitch and behind the scenes to get us out of this.
  19. We do seem to play better on when on tv. Queens away and Hearts at home were two of our best performances, so maybe we can hope??
  20. Definitely. I don’t know where the problem lies. Do we think we are better than we are? Do we think we can’t go down? Are the players affected by the off field issues? Are there issues off the park we don’t know about? We need to get a grip, and fast. We have decent players but are lacking the cutting edge that we should be capable of. We should not turn on McCann. He’s come in at a difficult time, but I agree that trying to change the style of play at this stage is not sensible. We need to play to our strengths and go back to the 4 2 3 1 that served us reasonably well up until Christmas. If we can keep Doran fit and get better deliveries to the front players, we can turn this round, but it will be a challenge. At least the league is tight and a few good results can make a big difference. But everyone at the club needs to accept the reality: we are in relegation trouble.
  21. 18 played. 9 to play. We are second bottom. Must to better, and fast!
  22. Sums our night up. Toddy offside after Sutherland hit the bar. Goal disallowed.
  23. Deas booked too. That’s five tonight. Tells a story in itself.
