  1. Not familiar with it: can you explain what it is? Thanks.

His goals got me second place in Gringo’s NPL last season! Getting is back to Mckay, he also chips in a few goals for us.

I’m with you on that. He is an honest pro who gives his all. He played through injury early in the season too. He and McHattie formed an unexpectedly solid central pairing last season after we lost Donaldson and McCart. Others get more than their share of stick too. Storey was getting it from some on Tuesday but silenced the critics. Many were unhappy to see Devine return, but he has been pretty solid for us and he is featuring well in POTY results. Then there are the likes of White, Trafford and even Polworth, all playing at a higher level than we are now.
  4. Thanks for all your articles tm4tj: always enjoyable even if we have not played well! Any word on the streaming of the game?
  5. Good to see the goals again. In real time, I thought we gave away a soft goal, but it was actually a good finish after we had blocked an effort. Sutherland was so unlucky with that header, with the ‘keeper well beaten. Storey’s goal was outstanding. As others have said, if we can find consistency we can match any team in this league, including Hearts, and will secure a play off place. However, if we cannot find consistency, it will be a struggle.
  6. Unlike some on here, I’m not a nationalist, but I think our politicians have handled the pandemic better than those down south, with clearer messaging from the Government and a willingness to be open with regular updates. We had level 4 before England had tier 4, and restricted gatherings better. We also seem to be proactive when we can, rather than reactive. Charles Bannerman’s update is a good reminder of the risks we face and the results we now face from the complacency that has set in. The positive tests are rising so fast in all parts of the UK that this wave will be much worse than the spring and we have not yet seen the impact of Christmas. I really hope everyone heeds the messages about Hogmanay. I agree with his view that enforcement is key: why have travel bans that are not enforced and therefore flouted. I know people who have spent time in other areas recently, for no good reason other than they wanted to, and I’m sure most others have similar tales of complacent selfishness risking the health of our families, friends and neighbours I can’t see us leaving level 4 any time soon.
  7. He’s not fully fit after his injury.
  8. Reflecting on tonight, both teams under performed and struggled to keep possession. We seemed to concede a soft goal but nearly got right back into it when Sutherland hit the woodwork. At half time, we deserved to be behind, but the second half was much better and we deservedly got back to 1-1 and were the more likely to win. I always feel we are best when we play it quickly but too often we slow the play down and don’t use the pace we have wide as well as we could. Inconsistent as he can be, I prefer it with Storey wide and Sutherland through the middle. Storey’s goal was either quality or luck! Ridgers was steady. Mckay is being overly criticised in my opinion as he put a power of work in and got up and down the pitch: he is getting slagged primarily for one poor cross. Harper has had a lot of game time and is getting more confident. I’m not sure what Devine or Deas could have done to stop the goal, and Devine had one great stop. He was injured late on so we may need Mckay at centre half on Saturday with Duffy at right back. It is good to see Welsh back, but he is not at his best yet and I hope Carson is fit soon. Allardice was quite quiet and it took Vincent a while to get into the game, although a lot of his work breaking up play goes unnoticed. Doran seemed to suffer after his knock but Kennedy showed some good moves and needs to grow in consistency. Storey got us the point whilst Sutherland had a few efforts and on another night could have had two or three. Toddy and Mackay did not have much time other than the booking Mackay got. 2 points out of 9 is not good enough, but we are still in the mix for the play offs as no one is winning consistently. Our next two league games are against teams below us, so 6 points and 2 good performances please!
  9. Cheers Gringo, something good from this year: leading the table for new year! Seriously, thanks for keeping this going this season and giving us a bit of fun!
  10. We have Duffy to come back in at full back. i thought the pictures on the stream were ok tonight. It did not drop out for me. Yes ether are a bit behind but I just turn my sound off and leave my phone gave down other than when coming on here to see who is saying what.
  11. I’d have taken a point at half time but a much better second half. We need to play full games and turn draws into wins so we can climb this league. Dunfermline were nothing special.
  12. Dan Mackay getting the last few minutes. Surprised we’ve not seen more of him this season. Sutherland off.
  13. Raith and Dundee both losing but over an hour to play in those games.
  14. If only we were in that position!
  15. We were lucky to get away with that one. Could easily be behind again.
  16. Inverness is wonderful and bridge and castle are amongst our words....
  17. Ayr and Morton have drawn. A good outcome for us. Could do with Dundee or Raith failing to win too.
  18. Welsh’s booking probably means I’ve no chance of getting any points from Gringo tonight.... Unless Storey can get our first and / or we win 2-1.
  19. Remember we have levels not tiers!!
  20. Not sure that’s true. I’ve heard he is a youngster making his way and very enthusiastic. Remember he is watching the same feed as us, so we need to make some allowances. Enjoy Netflix!!
  21. I agree with your comments but it definitely was Devine. Welsh was in the box but not near the ball so I followed the player who cleared it until the number was visible. Definitely no 6. Kennedy on at half time for Doran. Doran took a knock which is maybe why he had not imposed himself.
  22. Devine did remarkably well to get that cross over the bar. Could easily have been an own goal. We need to keep the ball and play at a faster tempo. Hopefully Carson is fit enough to come on as we need his steel in midfield.
  23. Bad goal to lose. Sutherland so close to equalising but the woodwork saved Dunfermline.
