Craig Fowler. Fancies himself too much in my opinion! I agree, the others are pretty good.

ICT v Morton - Feb13th - Postponed
Hearts got a late penalty tonight to draw at Queen of the South: a reminder to us not to be complacent about Wednesday’s game. We’ve dropped to 8th as a result and will be down to 9th tomorrow unless Alloa beat Arbroath or the weather causes a postponement. That said we have up to 5 games in hand over the other teams, which is really now wrecking our season.

ICT v Morton - Feb13th - Postponed
At least we will know the inevitable for certain today. I see the games between Dunfermline and Dundee and between Raith Rovers and Ayr are already off.

Inverness CT -V- Alloa Athletic - Preview
Looking more promising for next Wednesday’s game at home to Queen if the South (remember it is an 1830 kick off) as long as we don’t end up with a waterlogged pitch.... With the new date for Alloa, we have an intensive spell playing every three days on the 17th, 20th, 23rd and 26th, with by my reckoning the games at Raith and Dundee still to have new dates (plus the cup games at Buckie and, assuming we don’t slip up, Ross County if the cup is restarted).

Hearts: 26 February: virtual tickets
That’s me bought two with signed letter. It was showing the numbers in the booking process, but I can’t remember whether they were 8256 and 8257 or 8526 and 8527 as they didn’t appear later in the booking process. Either way the number sold is rising nicely.

January transfer thread
Good piece of business. He showed potential in his brief spell with us. Was he released by Cordoba? https://ictfc.com/anthony-mcdonald-signs-for-ictfc

January transfer thread
He signed a two year deal with Cordoba in the autumn. Reading the thread, my first thought was Jordan Roberts on loan, but he joined Motherwell on loan on Monday. Mulraney?

Six Nations
Wow, what an enjoyable watch and a well deserved, tremendous performance and win. We bossed the game and won at Twickenham in the competition for the first time since 1983. It more than made up for not being able to watch Caley Thistle this afternoon.

Dundee -V- Inverness CT - *Match Postponed*
I see waterlogged pitch rather than snow is the reason the game is off. Dundee must have drainage issues as I’m sure their game with Ayr was off a couple of times for that reason. All other games loom set to go ahead: typical of our luck this season!

Dundee -V- Inverness CT - *Match Postponed*
That’s seven Saturdays in a row when our game has been postponed. A run of seven weekend games being off could be unprecedented. A google search gave this: mainly England but Thistle get a mention, so we are no where near a total postponement record: http://www.footballsite.co.uk/DYK/DYK25-PostponedMatches.htm As well as tm4tj’s plus side, tomorrow would have been a tough game, so having a run of three home games could boost confidence and get us in a good place for the rest of the season. Assuming they go ahead and we actually do well in them that is.

There is one bright spot believe it or not: our record at Gayfield this season is better than last season. They beat us 3-0 there last season in our only away meeting with them, and they also beat us at home before the season got suspended. Yes, we should have been able to win the game, as we should have against Alloa and Morton, but we always seem to struggle against Alloa and Arbroath. Four points out of fifteen is not good enough, and if we are to have any hope of making the promotion play offs we need to do better. Dundee away will be tough if the weather lets it proceed, then we have home games against Alloa, Morton and Queen of the South. We should be aiming to win all three of those. Time will tell!

Interesting comments from Robbo. Generally supportive of the performance this time, recognising that with the number of youngsters we will make mistakes and be naive at times. Welsh is not being as influential this season as he was when he first joined us, possibly impacted by being captain? I’d like to see Carson start on Saturday if the game goes ahead, along with MacGregor if Keatings doesn’t make it, so we have our normal 4 2 3 1 without having to push a central midfielder further forward. I also think last night showed that Sutherland should be up front with Storey playing wide.

You’ve summed it up nicely tm4tj. A draw was a fair result but both teams will feel they should have won it. The wind messed the whole game up and meant it was a game of two halves. We did pretty well when under pressure in the first half, but conceded a late goal, ironically after the wind messed up a free kick for us. After equalising so early in the second half, we should have gone on to win comfortably, but we did not really capitalise on the elements and Arbroath grew in confidence towards the end, and the post saved us late on. If anything, I think the tactical mistake we made was switching Sutherland, Storey and Mackay round after we got the equaliser. Storey had the beating of the defence whilst Sutherland is a finisher, but we lost our way after Sutherland went wide and Storey was through the middle. Like others, I’ve no idea why MacGregor is not featuring. Whilst Allardice did well, MacGregor would have been the logical replacement for Keatings when he got injured. Duffy and Harper did well at full back, with Duffy having a good long throw and Harper setting the goal up. We can’t fault the central defence in terms of the goal and they handled the pressure. We should have won the midfield battle. Time for Carson in my opinion. Up front, we created chances and with more clinical finishing could have scored more. Yet another one that should have yielded more points. A recurring theme this season!
