  1. Just had a look at the BBC Sport app for tonight’s games. Five of our former players started in tonight’s matches and all five have been booked! Donaldson, Draper (who also scored) and Vigurs for County, McCart for St Johnstone and White for Motherwell. Polworth, Mckay and Rooney used as subs by Motherwell, County and St Johnstone.
  2. He’s a defensive midfielder so quite possibly a target.
  3. The Highland Hospice has been announced as the club’s charity partner for the new season: a very worthy cause: https://ictfc.com/highland-hospice-become-official-charity-partner-for-2020-21
  4. No surprise and the right decision. I heard the FM’s comments at lunchtime and she was scathing. All players and clubs must heed this or the game will be shut down again. The players involved should be sacked by their clubs and the clubs heavily fined if points cannot be deducted. They have shamed the word professional and do not deserve the inflated salaries they earn. Clubs like ours may suffer greatly by their selfish and petulant stupidity. There is a list on the BBC website of the “Aberdeen 8” which includes Jonny Hayes.
  5. I don’t think the games have been postponed yet, but a clear message from the FM: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-53736447
  6. No reason, just going by Robbo’s comments. As things stand, we have one player who can play right back (Mckay), four who can play centre back (Mckay, Toshney, Deas and McHattie) and row who can play left back (Harper and McHattie) so reasonable cover apart from right back. That assumes Deas, as a left sided player, cannot play right back.
  7. Billy Mckay scores today at Hamilton as County stated joint top: oh dear. Interestingly, Polly an unused sub by Motherwell. Looks like now Turnbull is fit, he may not be a first choice despite all his assists last season. White did come off the bench and had a goal disallowed, but I don’t know the reason.
  8. Robbo targeting a right back according to the article posted earlier so we have 6 defenders in general squad. Can’t see another central defender being brought in.
  9. I hadn’t realised Don Cowie had retired from playing in June. He remains at County as a coach.
  10. I think Sutherland will do a good job for us. He’s a natural finisher so should be more prolific than recent strikers. Todorov may get a run in the team also and show us what he’s capable of. I suspect Storey will continue to play wide where his pace can hurt defences. He just needs to be a bit less selfish when he has the ball and, if played up front, learn how to head it!!
  11. According to the BBC, the rules don’t allow the game to be awarded to St Johnstone.
  12. Was he queueing or enforcing? If queueing, enough said!!
  13. I agree, which is why awarding them a 3-0 win would have been the right action given this has stemmed from Aberdeen players ignoring the instructions given to clubs.
  14. A correct decision surely, as some of the 8 confirmed or isolating may already have passed it to other players or back room staff, so St Johnstone players and back room staff could be at risk.
  15. The First Minister publicly criticised the players today. Under the circumstances, awarding St Johnstone a 3-0 win would seem appropriate.
  16. Just in case anyone is planning to contact the club just now: https://ictfc.com/technical-issues-currently-at-the-stadium
  17. I know there are exemptions and respect that, and I know some exempt people have been hassled unjustifiably. Those not exempt should wear them properly.
  18. And how many people are wearing face coverings over their mouths only with their noses uncovered! As Kingsmills says, the guidance is very clear.
  19. With the lockdown in Aberdeen, you would think it would act as a reminder to everyone that the virus is still a real threat, but I really see complacency in our area. Social distancing seems out of the window in the aisles of Tesco since face coverings were required but, worse, I’d to collect a prescription at the Culloden Pharmacy and the queue outside had many standing very close to strangers for no reason. To top it all, someone came out of the Co-op, came to someone in the queue, took off their face covering and handed it to the person in front of me who put it on. Have they no idea what they are dealing with or no thought or care about those around them?
  20. Encouraging comments from him on the club website. Hopefully he will do a good job for us. Centre half was one position we were light on, now we need a right back and potentially a central midfielder and we will be getting towards a reasonable strength in depth: https://ictfc.com/robbie-deas-signs-for-ictfc
  21. Thanks. He’s from Ayrshire so close to home for him.
  22. Oh no, some on here will make them up! Lol! I see Tom Walsh is still without a club. Not saying there is any chance of him signing up again but who knows....
  23. Definitely is. Hopefully we can cultivate youngsters who break through and give us a foundation for the future over time.
  24. Agreed. The original post was seriously intended but some of the contributions thereafter have been embarrassing to read and, I feel, should be removed.
  25. Thanks, didn’t think he’d been at County.
