  1. Another for Marley Watkins for Kilmarnock tonight.
  2. Jordan Roberts for Stevenage today.
  3. Congratulations to Ali Nixon on being included in the squad for the forthcoming Centenary Shield Tournament, played between February and April: https://scottishschoolsfa.co.uk/boys-under-18-international-squad-announced/
  4. Anderson’s goal is believed to be the fastest ever for us. The Courier is saying it came after 19 seconds. The previous fastest is believed to have been 35 seconds by James Keatings. https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/sport/midfielder-scores-fastest-goal-in-clubs-history-but-inverne-336969/
  5. If we do lose Wotherspoon, I hope MacGregor is soon fully fit and able to play an influential part in the second half of the season. He could well turn out to be a straight replacement for Wotherspoon. I’d much rather have them both making a full contribution though.
  6. The best bit of business we can do in January is keeping Wotherspoon. He will be the difference between looking down and looking up. He’s apparently got a lot of offers that he’s considering but I really hope he’s enjoying his time here, his partnership with Mckay and working under Big Dunc and we can keep him. Sadly I suspect he will get a more lucrative offer.
  7. Noted today were Marley Watkins for Kilmarnock, Coll Donaldson for Falkirk and Jack Brown for Peterhead.
  8. He’s out due to family reasons. I’ve no idea what the issue is, but his partner was expecting. I just hope everything is ok for him and his family.
  9. I’d have taken a point before kick off and we’ve retained 8th place with the other games being draws (all 5 were draws this weekend!) but only a point off 5th. Kenny Crawford very positive about our performance on Sportscene and it sounds like we should have had a penalty. But how can we go to Tannadice and Firhill and get draws then mess up against Morton and Arbroath? The good results give us hope for the second half of the season, but the bad results make us despair!
  10. Logan Chalmers for Ayr tonight.
  11. And tonight’s results not overly helpful with Queens Park keeping Dundee United out to draw 0-0 and Ayr getting a point against Raith in what sounds like a remarkable game. Ayr had 10 men from just before the break but led 4-3 going into stoppage time until Raith got a point with yet another late goal. Four points between 5th and 10th now.
  12. I’ve a bad feeling about this one but really hope I’m wrong and the team gives us an early Christmas present by bringing three points back up the A9.
  13. This new book may be of interest to many: https://www.icttrust.org.uk/book-a-course?store-page=Inverness-Football-Remembered-Pre-Order-p611901569
  14. I probably wouldn’t have recognised them anyway as I doubt they are famous!
  15. I’ve no idea who the trialists were but I’m told one (a striker who’s first name may have been Will) scored twice in a 5-0 win.
  16. Don’t hold your breath for that!!
  17. Jack Brown for Peterhead, Nathan Austin for East Fife, Harry Hennem for Clach and both Ross Tokely and Calum Mackay for Nairn yesterday.
  18. They’d need to allow vehicles to turn right from Stadium Road to go over the Kessock Bridge and someone would need to pay for a frequent service between the ground and the City Centre.
  19. I’ve a few beers inside me after being at (excellent) hospitality due to the kind generosity of my previous employers, so my views may be a bit inebriated. I thought we shaded the first half and didn’t deserve to be behind at the break. The tactical change at half time should have put us on the front foot but we were dismal in the second half and didn’t trouble Arbroath. They didn’t even need to resort to time wasting and play acting to run the clock down. Billy Mckay spoke after the game and told it as it was. We should have gone in 1-1 at the break but we didn’t kick on after half time. That’s 3 points out of 12 so our battle is at the bottom of the table now rather than the top, and every point is a prisoner.
  20. Nice one by Big Dunc and the players involved: https://ictfc.com/ictfc-visit-highland-childrens-unit/
  21. Half season tickets on sale now, which may benefit anyone who didn’t renew due to the previous managerial regime. They are valid from the Morton game on 30 December: https://ictfc.com/join-big-duncs-highland-army-2023-24-ictfc-half-season-tickets-on-sale-now/
  22. Last time he featured was at Nairn in the NoS Cup semi final. Is he injured?
  23. Wotherspoon is a doubt for tomorrow too.
  24. I’ve heard speculation about Canada too, but he was born in Perth and his career has been in Scotland. The Canada link is due to his mother being Canadian.
  25. Arbroath remain bottom after Raith scored a winner in the 95th minute, and we all know how we seem to struggle against the side at the bottom of this league….
