I don’t think he ever really left as when he joined Brechin he continued part time with us. He’s been back full time for a few months now.

I’ve had some dealings with Keith over an advertising board and the cup final souvenir programme and he has come across very well, passionate and enthusiastic. I know he got the board spaces filled after he joined, so I think he is focussed on raising funds. I can’t comment on Gordon but I’d suggest contacting Keith first.
  3. Graeme Shinnie has joined Aberdeen on a three year deal.
  4. My interpretation, rightly or wrongly, of our contract position is that we are looking to get promoted next season and, if that does not work, we have the fall back of going part time. All bar 3 of our committed players for next season are only under contract for next season. I support Billy seeking a two year deal. This is his last chance for footballing security, and we should meet his demands, particularly as pay doesn’t seem to be an issue. To potentially lose our top asset to a promotion rival will be serious mismanagement by our leaders. I hope it is just rumour and speculation, but we need to get it sorted and fast!
  5. Sad to hear that Craig Brown has died. I always felt his contribution was underrated given that we regularly qualified for tournaments during his tenure. I’m sure he was proud of our recent performances. Scotland has lost one of the good guys.
  6. That’s what made me ask if anyone knew about when tickets were being posted. I didn’t get an e-mail either (and I’ve checked my spam).
  7. I did mine at the stadium and was told I will be sent a new card when the club received them. I didn’t think to ask the timescale for getting it. Anyone any idea?
  8. They were quick to confirm Boyd and Woods were moving on, announce that Deas had decided to leave, and those they were speaking to about new contracts. Sutherland and Walsh were not mentioned at that time but then the argument broke out about the circumstances surrounding how Sutherland was informed that he was not getting an offer. We can only assume it is the same with Walsh. Some recognition is surely not too much for them, and the fans, to expect. They have been silent on Allardice leaving too despite it being announced by him and then County on Sunday. As always we need better communication.
  9. I asked a Cove fan about Charlie Gilmour. He was impressed by him and feels they really missed him in the second half of the season after he picked up a bad ankle injury when tackled by a Queens Park player, possibly even one of the reasons for their collapse after New Year. Sounds promising, although whether he will be able to hit the ground running will depend on whether he has fully recovered and gets a full pre season.
  10. Strachan and Bray are under contract until next year. Not sure about Dan Mackay’s younger brother (Calum?). I think they are the ones that were on our bench and got some game time when we were short of players. Strachan looked good in the brief spells I saw him in. I’m sure there are others we should be talking to.
  11. Surprised at that but it is good news. Hopefully he can stay injury free and starts the season showing the sharpness he did until he got injured last autumn. As for Billy Mckay, I read the fairytale ending bit as referring to the cup final had we won it, but highlighting how successful the season was for him in terms of goals etc. Hopefully he signs an extension soon!
  12. They are announcing their first signing of the close season at 1600 today.
  13. We had expected him to move on, but sad to see him go. He’s done well for us and I wish him well. Hopefully he is not joining County. https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/sport/scott-allardice-confirms-ict-departure-317495/
  14. It is and we’ve one on the 18th too. We are due to play Clach at some point but I’ve not seen the date yet. It may be a young team we field at Lossie although we don’t have a Saturday game in the 22nd.
  15. We are playing Lossiemouth away on 20 July.
  16. If Watkins is in our price range I’d snap him up. He is a confidence player who played some of his best football here and his pace troubles defences. We need creative players and he and Mckay would be potent.
  17. He has stepped down as Chairman today apparently. Nothing to do with being mentioned on CTO!!
  18. A bit irrelevant given we’ve not offered Shane a new deal, but the ringleader Hester has been given an eight match ban, but suspended until the end of the season and only to be applied if he breaks the rules during that time!
  19. Sounds like a good signing, and for two years too. That may be the defence sorted, now with seven potential starting defenders, eight if we include Carson, but does it mean our chances of keeping Allardice are very slim? I can see Lewis Nicolson breaking through and establishing himself at left back this season. Now let’s get the rest of the squad in place!
  20. I just went to the ground as I was in town anyway. I’m sure the League Cup games are normally excluded but I think they may have included them during Covid as a thank you or we got a discount. I can’t recall the details though.
  21. Not the best photo as I didn’t want to get knocked down, but the coaches that operated the extra Citylink and Megabus journeys to Glasgow for the cup final loading up after the match (with apologies for someone wearing a Celtic top being in the image!):
  22. Renewed mine today. New cards are being issued this year and will be posted out when the club receives them.
  23. The route bypassed Inverness. My wife travelled on them when she was in the RAF years ago so was keen to see them in the air one last time. I’d not been in Lossie for years. On a day like today it is well worth a visit.
  24. Where and what was the significance?
  25. An easy one (maybe should be in the IBM Transport thread).
