Battery Project - Chairman's Statement
Jack Waddington replied to DoofersDad's topic in Caley Thistle
What was the outcome of it? Had to ditch the stream cos had to get to work, and last I heard was about "River Ness runoff" and that the Fire Brigade can't comment on the battery farm -

Slide 84, actually, but still at a loss as to why we're being shot in the foot when its right there, plain as day that they want to do it regardless. Surely it'd be far more logical to let someone else put in the graft and delegate the funds into other projects? -
Or better yet, improve the shuttle service. Absolute mystery whether it runs prior to the match and quite a lot of the time the bus back is rammed. Advertise it better, make it more frequent and increase capacity then we won't have to deal with being sat for donkeys trying to get out and people won't need to risk getting flattened on the walk back. The car parks fine as is (well, for its intended purpose anyway, not the condition of it), but everyones become overly reliant on it because, like most places in the HC area, the bus service is hoaching and/or overpriced.

Tbf, Clach's away kit is a belter compared to ours which is just a Scot Gardiner "WATP 55" dream kit, so wouldn't surprise me if they did sell more than we did. C*unty probably did, and Loch Ness frequently put out stunning kits so they easily did outsell us.

Had an email back from one Monsieur David Fraser of the Aird and Loch Ness Ward simply stating "Thank you and I have noted your comments. As it is a live application, I cannot comment further". Can only assume all the councillors of the HC have been handed this cut and paste dialogue to reply with if they decide to -
Another thing that should be picked up on, though small, is the numpties in the stand taking the ball away at the most inopportune times. Second home game on the bounce where some kid has thrown the ball further back into the stand or held it to throw it into play at the absolute worst time. Different story if its the middle of the game and its the opposition goalie wanting it, but at a last ditch corner its hideously frustrating. Might sound harsh or over the top, but the club need to be keeping tabs on these things as it absolutely will cost us at some stage

Played brilliantly imo, just need players to push down the wing rather than trying to double back on themselves, and players that will actually get a shot off

Battery Project - Chairman's Statement

Doesn't really matter how snarky the email might seem, its mostly just facts and figures so the less informed councillors aren't just diving headfirst into "we must protect the greenspace" bin, and it reminds them that they *have* broken a law and the club will happily gear up and go all the way. Either let go of a scrap of otherwise unused land behind a warehouse on a larger chunk of land that will become a housing estate in the next decade no doubt, or enjoy an expensive legal battle that will probably have ScotGov involvement. -

Just had an email from the club with a template for the email we should send to our local councillors...would be handy if I could copy the thing without my phone having a go lmao -
Battery Project - Chairman's Statement

Thats cute, but won't do squat when it gets brought up in the courts/against the Scottish Government. Also why are councillors of areas 100+ miles away getting involved in this? Having one all the way from Fort William in the original vote was a mystery, but now everyone all the way up in Caithness and the like are coming out of the woodwork? Surely it only makes sense to only have Inverness area councillors vote/have a word as its an Inverness based issue -

Thats going ahead with or without the battery farm. All on the back of an SFA/SportScotland Grant(s), with further input from the Highland Council (surprising, I know). -

If thats the case, whats the craic with the plot to let next door to the ground, between the North Car Park and the bridge? Or is that outside of what we're in control of? -

Basics from what I've heard is that if it fails next week then it goes to an appeal cos what the council did wasn't entirely legal apparently -
Tough choice between Doran and Storey.

Well that or calling the meeting short/hoofing people out for bringing up alternative issues. -

Well, we can, but it involves the final day of the season and an unmentionable action that could lead to a banning order, and not stopping until change happens -

Really hoping there'll be minutes on this. Been unable to attend the Open Meetings at the Innes and Caley Bars, but this is far more important than those. -
Surely the king's shut that wee runt up now hahahhaha

Don't worry, only 7 more wins and results elsewhere to go our way and the title is ours

Donation to Raise The Roof - the West Stand at ICTFC - REFUND
Jack Waddington replied to High1ander's topic in Caley Thistle
Not enough donations, and the Sections been dead most games anyway. It was never going to happen anyway, the crowd numbers are so inconsistent due to all the big game weirdos appearing for one game then it dies off when we play Morton at home, so putting up a roof would be pointless. Have a feeling it was more of an SG Project to make fans think they've got a voice in happenings at the ground -
Battery Project - Chairman's Statement
Jack Waddington replied to DoofersDad's topic in Caley Thistle
There's no chance of a merger, ever. Both clubs have too much history in the Scottish Leagues to even have it being considered a possibility. It'd be like Aberdeen and Cove Rangers merging, ones got a ton of history under their belt and the other made a quick rise through the leagues. Neither set of fans would allow it to happen in fear of losing their own club's history, which can draw comparisons to our own merger, but that was to get into the leagues rather than for the survival of a big name team in the Highlands. Once Uncle Roy either kicks the bucket or withdraws support, and nobody moves in, then I can only see both sides being in the same situation as Dunfermline or Falkirk, floating between League One and the Championship. -

Perfectly understandable. Wasn't going anywhere anyway. Singing Section is far better in the North Stand and gets more people involved
