  1. I can't remember the last time I witnessed such a horrifically painful match that we still came out on top in...went in expecting to breeze past them, but jesus was that a poor show against 13TH in the Lowland League...
  2. I thought Tulloch gifted the stadium back to us just before Covid, hence why it's not the TCS anymore? Does that not include the land its on/around it, or does the initial 99 year deal throw everything down the pan? Just seems a lot of twists and turns in something that seems like it should be *somewhat* straightforward
  3. Hence the reason we've gone to work with a private company who have lots to back them up, rather than sitting waiting for investments whether they come or not. But regardless the GreenPort shouldn't be held against the club considering we had no choice in joining it since we're in the catchment area, and was based on what we were told would happen after Inverness and Cromarty Port won the contract. It might not carry any financial benefits (at this stage in time anyway, I can't predict the future), but at least having a voice in the immediate area in motions that could negatively impact the club is worth being in the GreenPort group
  4. Thats because we need the financial incentives sooner rather than later, and I think it goes without saying we all know how horridly paced major government projects are on this side of Perth, and as a result all the business involved are sitting on their hands waiting for the expected outcome. The Battery Project, on the other hand is entirely backed by a private company that's got many similar projects on their books, and really all they need to do is secure the land and they can have the thing up and in a year or so, while the GreenPort could go on for yonks yet. We're still part of it, but its not a financially sound move to be sitting and waiting for potential investments that might never come.
  5. I apologise, I had been informed that the Concert Co only had us involved at surface level.
  6. You say that, but I'm not wrong am I. The Concert Co was only named as such because, as I said, we're the ones providing a venue and not much more. And the GreenPort is a ScotGov/Westminster project and we just happen to be in the area with our car park being used as an overflow on occasion for the Port next door, what happens with that, whether it works or fails, is out of our hands. We might get a say in certain things going on within, but in all shapes and forms hasn't got anything to do with the club bar just being there
  7. Neither of those are/were controlled by the club. ICTCC was created as a company just to try and make a wee bit off of making the stadium the cities primary concert venue, as opposed to a roundabout of The Bught, the Aquadome, Northern Meeting Park and ourselves, and lessons had been lost as it had been quite some time since the concert before it. As for the Green Port, thats not got anything to do with the club, and is only because we're in the Harbour/Port Area and have been included as we are one of the bigger companies in the area.
  8. Exactly, cos its a commercial area, which, as far as I'm aware aren't under the same noise pollution restrictions as there would be in a residential area, which everyone at the club and ILI have opted to go above and beyond to mitigate as much sound as feasibly possible, not to mention the fact all the businesses nearby have been consulted on the project with no objections, and the nearest houses are outside the area affected by noise pollution if it was just going to be plopped down with no noise barriers.
  9. So if I'm understanding this right, you're against a major investment for the club, that will provide us with a future for the forseeable future, which also benefits the local communities and the greater Highlands, not just in footballing terms, but with clean and renewable energy because you are wanting a field (that you can't even see from any surrounding road or footpath) to look like...a field...while also going off on a tangent to assume that they breezed over all other potential (and very limited) sites within city limits, just cos someone with links to the club happens to have land ownership?
  10. It's not residential at all lmao, if anything it's a small retail park, with a driving range and a go kart track, the nearest residents are over 200m away from the proposed site, its effectively hugging the backside of the kart track. They've said they'll do everything to hide it and make it blend in. Completely different story if the Cloud Factory was being relocated to Fairways, especially when the project causes no pollution in the slightest, so to label it as "heavy industry" is a bit of a stretch to say the least...
  11. Only real differences between that and where the Battery Project will be are that, The Drakies Buffer is a well used area both by locals and that the bit behind the Polis HQ is still used as a farmers field, while the golf course is one giant nothing and The Buffer is also easily visible and accessable to the general public, compared to the former golf course which is entirely sandwiched by a housing estate and the treeline between the road and the driving range. There's also the factor that the project is hugging the back of the Kart Center, and won't need to build a long, winding access road, and won't be taking up any land thats already built upon, frequently used by locals or thats been put aside for anything. Attempting to shut it down is a kick in the teeth for any attempt to bring the Highlands into Carbon Neutrality.
  12. Aye but theres a mahoosive difference between building a brand spanking new housing estate, and hiding some shipping containers in the corner right at the edge of the area where you won't be able to see it unless you throw up a drone or specifically go looking for it. I understand why there needs to be a green place in a rapidly expanding city, but there's not much alternative places to put this thing, and I can't imagine it'd be a popular idea to dump it in the middle of town or in a housing estate. The club and ILI have said that it'd be camoflagued to hell and back, and in a field where very few people would actually use it as a park, I can't imagine there'd be much of a kick in the teeth...
  13. Can only see a typical Neanderthalic response from the Highland Council. Google maps shows the former golf course is MASSIVE and has no development on it whatsoever, and I can't imagine HC are planning on a Central Park copycat any time soon. Rather spend money on random crap like an unwanted wall in the river, but will happily turn down a proposal that, if expanded across the Highlands, can EASILY be one massive step towards Carbon Neutrality...
  14. Not being funny, but is there any reason it can't be dumped on the waste land by the home car park, or does that interfere with Gardenier's magical fantasy of NFL Tailgate parties?
  15. Hopefully this goes ahead, but even if it gets turned down, surely there's a fallback with an appeal via the Scottish Government who are the tip of the spear in chasing carbon neutrality. Highland Council are known charlatans (something something daft wall in the river), and the only thing of late I can think of that they've actually done good is working on connecting the towns and villages around the Firth with a new cycle path...and thats at a stretch.
  16. Has Terry Butcher been informed of the opening?
  17. Sounds daft but will there be minutes of the meeting for those who were unable to attend?
  18. Anyone got a monkey who the number 18 was? All that's been dug up is that its Harry Lodovica...but he signed for Aveley at the start of June...unless he's pulling a Willo Flood, I doubt he'd run away for a trial without even playing a game...
  19. Whoever told you this is having you on lmao. If we were playing Leeds, the club would be stupid not to advertise and cash in on it...wait...
  20. Word has it, Billy has signed on. No word if its to his demands or the clubs, but its not coming from the keyboard of Mr Inverness, anyway
  21. Trying to get any response from Scot Gardeningleave and/or the club itself is nigh on impossible. Once in a blue moon will you recieve a reply from the club (when they're not posting the Season Ticket prices every day), and Scot doesn't seem to do anything bar like tweets by some dodgy political don. Everyone and their dog has asked the club and Scot for x, y and z, the basics, when are we getting kits, whats the case with Billy etc etc, but its just flat out radio silence. Comms are literal beans, and if anything we need to look at the way the team did it before a certain tweet got put on the club feed (ykiyk). At least back then you could actually expect someone from the club to respond, not have to either sit assuming or waiting for another fan to tell you.
  22. Anyone know the score from yesterdays friendly?
  23. Anyone know of any supporters buses heading south on the 1st of June? Haven't found any possible way to and from the weeg that won't likely end up robbing me blind for an overnight stay... Any help will be much appreciated
  24. Like this? Took it last month when we lost to Morton, but still my favourite pic of the ground
