  1. http://www.highland-news.co.uk/News/ICT-chairman-blasts-newco-decision-a-sad-day-for-Scottish-football-13072012.htm All clubs are going to have to look at the consequences of their actions. I'm quite sure Kenny will not be the only chairman calling a board meeting over this weekend. If SPL clubs believed the ramblings of Regan and Doncaster then they are just as guilty of the bullying of the lower league teams. The way forward is to get people in who can market our game. Get all parties working together under one executive and do the right thing to improve our game. The time for change is long overdue. Now is the time to act. What I wonder though, in the interests of sporting integrity, has there been things going on behind the scenes at Hampden thinking it would be easy to persuade SFL to vote for Div 1 entry? Were the SPL chairmen easy about voting Rangers out of SPL because someone persuaded them that SFL was in their back pocket? Have the hopes of the SPL chairmen backfired and if they have then wheres the sporting integrity in that? For all clubs outside Celtic there is now a chance to show how competitive they can be. There is a real chance that any one of them can achieve second place and the vast share of the pot that that will bring.
  2. Alex Thomsons blog today makes even more interesting reading. Could it be construed that there is corruption within Scottish football I wonder? http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/football-chairmen-living-fairytale-world/2265
  3. Jesus will those folk ever wake up. Scottish football is crying out for a united body, not further division. To change things to the way they should be will take two or three seasons. By that time The Rangers may be in a position to join the top league but without the control they and Celtic have had over every other team.
  4. If Doncaster, Regan and Co have any sence at all they will leave things as are and work towards proper league reconstruction over the next couple of years. If they cant see that as being the correct way then its time for them to go. Only six out of 42 clubs in Scotland have voted with Rangers or abstained from voting. 36 club chairmen are in agreement on how things should by. Thats one hell of a vote of no confidence in those running our game.
  5. Are you related to the great Seer Johndo McKenzie? You were in Inverness in 2008 and managed to see the first three games of 2012-2013 season. Considering we haven't had the foresite to see those games yet can you tell us who will win and will we do well.
  6. Cheapskate or just cheeky???? http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/4426704/CaleyThistle-keeper-Antonio-Reguero-hitched-a-lift-to-training-in-a-police-car.html
  7. When an institution is run by idiots idiotic suggestions and decisions come to the fore.
  8. Medicals dont predict injury. That said it seems that footballers get injured very easily nowadays. We are not the only club that has problems. I just wonder what is so different about the way they train and warm up etc. Are gyms a problem? I played shinty. The only injuries I succumbed to were due to contact with a stick. I didnt go to the gym. I didnt do extensive fitness training. I still managed to go out on the lash on a friday night then play a full game on saturday. Is the intensive training of the bodern day footballer actually weakening muscle? Is the footwear maybe the problem?
  9. They also need subscribers
  10. There are actually schemes in place were the solar panels cost nothing, Trouble is we in Scotland lack the one thing that makes the schemes work...............................................................................Sunshine!!! What about the trust raises funds to seat the whole of the west terracing so we could sell those seats to the Tics of the world.
  11. Where in my comment have I dismissed anything. I'm just questioning how your idea would work.
  12. That was pretty much it AF. There is a very big gulf between 2nd place and third.
  13. According to SPL rule C4 all clubs get an equal share of 48% of the total pot after expenses and other payouts. The remaining 52% is then split depending on league position with 17% of that going to 1st place and 0.5% to last place. This total pot is all monies brought into the SPL by sponsorship and TV rights http://www.scotprem.com/content/mediaassets/doc/RULES%20EFFECTIVE%201%20JULY%202012.pdf.
  14. I think most folk can see where your coming from Don but I cant see how it would work. At the moment, according to ticketmaster, there are 462 available seats in the main stand, excluding wings. There are 555 season tickets sold in North stand. There are many more fans who prefer to pay on the day. Where would you put all the home fans? Also what would be the cost of the additional police and security needed to look after two stands to ensure segregation?
  15. Depends on how much SKY are prepared to pay. And if they are not prepared to pay then how many customers are they prepared to lose.
  16. scatterbrained
  17. When?? What I've seen is that Rangers still hold the ICT record attendances.
  18. Thanks Spongie
  19. Many clubs have many great ideas. Maybe the best idea would be for clubs to get together from time to time and share their ideas. This was something that the offshore safety reps do on a regular basis. They meet up with other industry safety reps a few times a year to share best practise.
  20. If the question was about Rangers of old then I'd maybe agree. Celtic do not fill our stadium and never have. There are many more Rangers fans in the Inverness catchment area than Celtic. I know that by counting the buses going south when I travel north on match days. Theres at least six 'true blues' bus for every one 'bhoys'
  21. It probably is. But remember Mr Novo had no more affiliation to Rangers than he has to any other club he had the luck to be involved with. Nacho is just another of the many Spanish footballers not good enough for their own countries top flight who ply their trade in the lower echelons of British football. As far as I know he is still contracted to Legia Warsaw. That aside has anyone got a report on tonights game.
  22. he replaced S.Campbell For Clach??
  23. We have never sold out to Celtic so I cant see it happening. The diehard Northstanders choose that area because they are behind the goal and because its more sheltered. I also dont think there's enough spare seats in the main stand to accomodate all the North ST holders unless they use the uncovered sections.
  24. Inverness
