  5. and from the SoS http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/disgusted-chairmen-call-for-sfa-chief-stewart-regan-to-stand-down-1-2412833

  7. First off. In order to go into administration a company needs to be in debt. As far as I am aware we are not in debt. Secondly, are people going to continue telling lies. The current TV deal covers this coming season and nobody has said that the final payment will not be honoured. If clubs fold then the people to blame are the ones who agreed sponsorship deals with strings. That is the bottom line. The board of the SPL at the time mucked up big time in that one.
  8. But Dougal I will say one other thing. There are as many tims in the highlands as there are huns so if it had been Celtic who had went to the wall, and remember that if Fergus had never appeared they would have, would you be making the same stupid comments? Probably not!!!
  9. The neighbours from across the bridge have never been where we have so bringing them into the conversation is a bit stupid.
  10. Way back in 1993 there was a big war in Inverness. A war that eventually culminated in a new club being formed, Some loved the idea. Some hated it. That was then. This is now. The new club, that eventually became, Inverness Caledonian thistle was an ambitious club. They strived to be in the top echelons of Scottish football. Within ten years of that bitter formation they achieved the goal Another person in Scotland had an ambition to do something similar within five years. He bought Gretna and achieved his ambition within that time. They are now dead. We are still here but struggling. Why are we struggling. Answer is simple. We aspired to be part of a corrupt and dishonest league. Aleague that had two teams controlling every aspect of it. Does anyone ever wonder about the teams we used to beat to get where we are. The Montrose's and Elgin's. The Stenhousemuir's and Shire's. I look at those teams every week of the season and wonder what makes them tick. For them its not the high hieghts of the Scottish system. For them its the love of the game. They tick along every season and make their following happy. For us, and we are no bigger or better that any of the teams we beat to get where we are, we have become absorbed in the desire to help the twins of evil achieve success. That is the only reason the SPL was formed so having a desire to be in it is a desire to support the twins. HL was fun. SFL was fun. Reaching the corrupt league has not been fun and now we are falling. There is only one future in this game in Scotland now and thats for everyone to get together and demand change. Change that allow's teams from every part of the country to operate on a level playing field. Everyone is worried about the effects of the demise of Rangers. The same would be the case if it was Celtic. Truth is if it was Kilmarnock or Motherwell or ICT nobody would give a damn. We endeavoured to rise to the great hieghts of corruption. Now we are falling fast. There is a safety net though. Kick out the people at Hampden and stop bowing to the twins of evil.
  11. Guys and Girls, I made a dear Mr Cameron statement yesterday and in that I suggested his comments to the press were mis-timed and ill-advised. I stand by that but, having read so many, unfounded and undeserved, hate comments against KC, I now want everyone to take a step back. I have and I decypher the comments a little different in the cold light of day. Kenny Cameron, though I've never met him, comes across as someone who has a passion for this club. He also comes across as someone who knows the value of fans and of comunicating with fans. To me Kenny Cameron believes in our club and is very concerned for the future of the club. He always comes across as an honest and down to earth guy. Yesterday he made statements that, when you look at the different interpretations from different sensible peolpe, have maybe been taken out of context to a very high degree. My personal opinion is that his mistake was in making any statement at all. We all read the papers. We can all make our own minds up about the future of ICT and the future of Scottish football. Theres now a lot of change and uncertainty ahead, both for the club and for the game, but we all still need to be behind our team. I was never a season ticket holder before. When our club took the vote they did I became a season ticket holder. Not one ST but two. I dont even know if I'll get to one home game this season but I still put my money where my mouth was. And I may be able to do a little more for the club when I know what players we have. The big thing now is for total change in Scottish football. That will take a little time to set up but meantime, and I honestly hope the powers that be leave all as is for the moment and work towards the betterment of the game during the current season. Christ The Rangers may not even get out of Div3 Kenny and/or others at the top of ICT made a mistake in their press release but we have a new season coming up and we need every man, girl and their dogs to get behind the team and ensure we can continue at the top of whatever structure is in place in the future. All that now said I propose a vote of great confidence in Kenny Cameron and hope that he is very much involved in ICT and the Scottish game for many years to come.
  12. Of course it was on the table...how could it have been rejected if it wasn't? Did they reject the proposals or did they ignore them on the day? Did they realise that those proposals were put in front of them to attempt to sway judgement on Rangers? My point is those proposals should not have been handed to SFL alone but sent to all SFA registered clubs to allow them all to digest the content and then look at how best to make the way forward a sensible and productive one. My understanding is that it was sent to all SFA registered clubs. My point is that, if that was the case, then it must be discussed and decided upon by all SFA registered clubs and not the SFL as one body. The first sensible thing after the proposals were published would have been to put together a conference of all clubs to discuss and debate. But no!! The idiots who walk the corridors of Hampden, who think they know all, and who believe themselves to be superior to everyone else and unaccountable for their actions make a total balls up in thinking this proposal will sway decision.
  13. I would not crucify Kenny Cameron. I wouldn't even apportion blame on him other than his statement, and the resultant press barrage, was ill thoughout and ill adviced. There wasn't even a need to say anything other than the club are calling a board meeting to look at the financial implications for the coming season. His comments, however, have caused damage to the club. Many on here are angry and some threatening to turn away from ICT. There are calls for boycotts of ICT from fans of other teams on P&B.

  15. I dont think that was what was being voted on. I think that was put out two days before the meeting as an attempted sweetener. That whole statement talks about puting together a working party to look at league reconstruction. The two votes on the table were 'to allow Rangers into SFL' and 'which league they should be put in'. The SFL couldn't alone vote on the linked proposals as these need to be agreed by all registered football clubs in the country. The proposal will effect the junior leagues as well as the 42 senior clubs so cannot be voted on by only the SFL
  16. At the end of the day Rangers went bust. There is no other football association in the world that would have gone to such lengths to save a team with no money and such large debts coupled with operating outside the rules.
  17. And maybe your username will reappear as a Newco
  18. Dear Mr Cameron, It would appear, looking at comments from Chairmen such as that at Annan and looking on social networking sites, that you have made a big error of judgement in your comments to the press today. Your comments, though they may have been good intentioned, make the world look at the SPL Chairmen, including yourself, in a very different light. That statement has come across like the SPL voted Rangers out but that they fully expected that they could buy the services of the SFL, under the misled guidance of Messrs Regan and Doncaster, to get Rangers into the second tier. Mr Cameron I am enclined to think that this display of self preservation and of the desperation for Rangers in the SPL by the teams of the SPL has not only expanded the gulf between SPL and SFL but has put the final nail in the coffin of the current set up within Scottish Football. In one breath the SPL chairmen are voting, not just because of fan pressure but for Sporting Integrity yet behind the scenes they are chucking that self same Sporting Integrity out the window to try and put pressure on the SFL teams. Football in Scotland can be saved and I would urge all clubs to work together to save it. It can be done but only by first acknowledging that all forty two clubs have a say in it and by disbanding the elitest group that care for no other than themselves. The next step is to get rid of those within the Hierarchy of SPL and SFA and of bringing in a true leader, under the auspices of one governing body, who can take our game to a new, more secure and sensible level. Finally I suggest that those who control our game should never underestimate the effects of fan power. Fan power can make or break a club and, following on from your statement tonight, fans of ICT are indicating that they may prefer a shopping trip with the wife on a saturday afternoon ahead of supporting the team. 19. He was on Scotland Tonight with Archie MacRanger last night and came across as being very sensible in his outlook of our game.
  20. This SPL 2 is going to look really strange with only one team in it.
  21. Sorry bish but I cant agree with the last part of your statement. Those at Hearts who have been released were on close to 5 grand a week. Blackie left us to go there for 3 grand. Our top earners are on about a grand, maybe a little more. I dont know what Butcher and Malpas are on but we were never renowned for paying big wages so I cant really see that we could cut back too much and remain competitive. And therein lies the problem. We struggle to survive cos we cant afford quality and try and create something around a mix of youth and lower league of England players. It scraped us survival last season and it may do again this season. Trouble is that the quality on offer has made many people think again about what they want to spend their hard earned on.
  22. Of the twelve clubs in SPL for this season five still remember how to survive without tv monies. Each of those clubs are capable of surviving this next season. As far as I'm aware the current contract with Sky and with Clydesdale will continue for this season. Clydesdale are pulling out. Sky may renegotiate but the fact on that is that we as Scottish Football should be standing up to Sky and asking for our fair share, in proportion to what the English game gets. Even the Championship and Div 1 get more tv money than Scotland. Note the emphasis has always been on Sky and no mention of the other partners of the SPL, including the latest deal with Weatherseal. The real reason that erses are twitching at Hampden, and the real reason there was such a public campaign by those people to try and bully the SFL into accepting Rangers in div 1, has nothing to do with how it affects Scottish Football and more to do with how it affects Celtic. That club has the most to lose. They lose their derbies. They may well even lose many of the joint sponsorship deals they made with Rangers. What got us into this mess??? Greed! Greed on the part of the OF. Greed on the part of the CEO's and their consorts and greed on the part of all the initial ten clubs who chose to put Scottish football in jeopardy when they decided on their breakaway league. What ICT need to do now is get the begging bowl out. Many fans have indicated they'd help out if they can. Get a real committment from those who can help. I'd go as far in that as to reduce security costs by having volunteers to the home fan crowd control. I'd look at having volunteer's for hospitality duties. For bar duties. Get shot of the pie contract and have volunteers man the booths. Volunteers on the gates. There are many ways cost can be cut but that needs committment. Personally I'd commit to doing something on matchday if I knew that I could be available. Unfortunately, but because money talks, I dont even know if I'll get use of my two season tickets.
