Ross County -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
I'd be annoyed but that isn't the point I am making. The fans had numerous chances to get a dedicated singing section on the go and never took it. I contacted the club and they set aside an area for us to use and no one took it up. My point about it being hard to organise is geared towards higlighting that a lot of fans are all talk about doing stuff but tend not to bother with actually carrying out their actions when push comes to shove. The singing section you are referreing to was set up last season in an area that under SPL rules couldnt be used as it wasnt covered? To tell you the truth, im fed up with all this crap about singing sections and "section G" and what not. What other club in the UK has a section specifically set out for vocal support. Ill tell you, NONE OF THEM. How about on saturday we have everyone singing and getting behind the lads once and for F*cking all. Im fed up and so are the ones who try to create an atmosphere everywhere we go and all we get is dogs abuse about it. Utter nonsense this.   Rangers do!!!! But thats another story. Our problem is that there are too many Rangers and Celtic fans trying to bring their sense of supportiveness to ICT.

Oh great legal one, are you referring to players wage bill or total wage bill. How many of the clubs you mention have a Chief Executive (albeit a sacked one)? How many have a DoF? Most SFL clubs have a handful of staff and a load of volunteers. We have a load of staff and a handful of volunteers. Dont get me wrong, there are some who work for their money at our club. They work hard, they work more hours than they're paid for. They're dedicated to what they do. They're are others who are in positions because of who they know or who they crawl to.

ALBA CUP FINAL BADGES
ok i meant pin badge , i always call what is on the top the club crest, or am i wrong in calling it the club crest?? Crest IMO is what you would have on an official headed paper, but either is fine in describing it The crest, which is the part that is copyrighted, consists of an eagle hovering over a thistle that has a football for a heart.

Hooligans
I support all that Mannie say's above and would go further in saying that if I'm in your stand and I see you choose to throw something on the pitch I will report you. Such antics are not welcome in football. And to those who did carry out such acts, from both sides, is there CCTV at Viccy? Cos if there is then Northern's finest are probably making a fortune in overtime pouring over the tapes. Listen out for the knock on your door. Such things are not manly, nor sensible, and should be punished.

I said 1st. Why? Because I'm a supporter of ICT and as such will always BELIEVE. I'm also the epitomy of the eternal optimist.

Overcrowding in the away end
Thats the one thing thats missing in SPL and whats missing at TCS. Fans jam packed into a stand, shoulder to shoulder. Thats what football should be about.

Butcher must Go!
I think its time a few people realised a few facts. This club has no money. Butcher brought in players, on a pittance, and by calling in one or two favours, in the hope of building a competitive team. Two of his key players have been out till recently. His cover for Bulvitis isn't fit. We have no competition in defence. People have called on him to change tactics. He did, successfully, for two games. He should have changed it back to a 4-5-1 for County but chose to stick with what was winning. It failed. The players failed. Why is it that players who once played for the badge they wear, who were once very difficult to break down, who played for the fans and who displayed pride and passion in every game are not producing any more. Is it because they're paid a pittance? Is it because they don't like the last two managers? Is it the constant negativity from the fans that's rubbing off on them? As things stand at the moment I don't believe any manager could do better. I think things are more deep rooted than any manager can sort. I actually believe that the lack of job security and the worry of what the future holds, for many of them, may have something to do with things. Getting rid of Butcher is not the answer. Bringing in Robbo, or anyone else, wont solve things. Personally I blame the one man with total control. The one man who's ego is so big that, not wanting to do the job of chairman, he has to see his name emblazoned over the stadium and has to hold the title of Honorary Chairman. He, in my mind, is the one holding back this club.

Where did it all go wrong
The other teams in the mix have dropped points too. And will do again.

Where did it all go wrong
I don't think that you can pin it down to one thing and there are various things that have gone drastically wrong over the last few years. I think that the Niculae era could have been handled better by the club, they should have set the record straight that he wasn't earning close to 4k a week at the very start, to this day this amazes me, the guy was getting shot down for what he was reportedly earning and his employers who knew this wasn't the case left him out to dry. The Savage/Sutherland power struggle had a terrible effect throughout the club. While with hindsight re-appointing Brewster was a mistake it was a mistake that could have been salvaged if the club had got rid of him before Xmas instead of giving him more money to spend on players when it obviously wasn't working rather than take a new manager and give him a bit of time to get his signings in. Also one reason and one that I think is one of the most important in putting us in the position we are now is the way the club seem totally unable sort players contracts out when they should have been, we would not have lost a great number of the quality players that we have if these had been carried out in a professional and forward thinking manner and to make matters worse have lost nearly every quality player we have had for next to nothing. Not sure that the contract thing was the reason a number of players left. I think there may be some who didn't want to stay under Brewster. Wages were also a reason some didn't stay. When I spoke to one player about his reason for going his reply was...would you stay in your current job if you were offered three times as much to move. The Savage/Sutherland power struggle hasn't helped. Bringing back a former manager hasn't helped. As to our current position. At this time of season I actually prefer us being mid table but within touch. The pressure is on the top clubs week in week out and they will crack. Would rather the gap stayed at 4 points though but 7 ain't beyond reach and there's a long way to go yet.

Butcher must Go!
But thats the question. How do they know how to play us? Before this season they hadnt played us in a competitive match in over 5 years so how have they got to know our play? Good management and training. Adams seems to get his players motivated for the big games, whereas Butcher seems to have some trouble doing this from time to time. County perhaps haven't changed their tactics/squad specifically for the derbies, but in terms of the players that they have they are just the type we cannot cope with. We are large, immobile and really not physical enough. County seem to have a good mix of physical/tricky, nippy players like Gardyne. But im still bewildered by the fact that there was a mass exodus of good players from big teams due to the CC and why did we not pick up any of them??? Because we couldn't afford the wages. Has it not occured to anyone that the reason County are beating us may well be Brewster.

Yes and I believe they're in breach of copyright not having asked permission to use our crest.

Clach in administration
Cove have helped Clach by paying for players coach through to Aberdeen. Other HL teams are helping out as they can. Even Celtic are doing their bit. It would be nice if ICT fans were to turn up on tuesday to see THIS MATCH and show support for a fellow Inverness team.

Lack of home support
Always good for a laugh is alex! Yes. And at least I can take it as well as give it. Unlike some who consistantly chuck the dummy.
-
Lack of home support
Being serious I dont think its possible to compare but the poster did say TOP SPL teams. In my book he's referring to the teams who are consistantly top of that league.

Richie Foran
I'd hardly call the Liffey a stream. It may not be as fast flowing as the Ness but its probably as wide or wider in parts. It's certainly deeper and longer. And it has more bridges. Oh! and Richie Foran never said he was sitting on the banks of the Ness. The paper did.

Lack of home support
Where's the p1sh? What I've seen of the old filth so far this season has been pretty poor. Garbage in europe and niether able to shake of the wee laddies at Hibs.
