We dont have Ally Ridgers. There's every chance that Zibi could have done a job for us. Yes he made some mistakes at Hibs but he also played some cracking games but its only the mistakes that are remembered and some of those can be put down to poor comms between goalie and young inexperienced defenders. Chances are we cant keep him cos his wage expectations are higher than we can afford. For the last year he's been subsidised by Hibs.

Alex, I see you think that season ticket holders should NOT have priority on tickets because it's a testimonial. Well, season ticket holders, along with other regular supporters, such as share holders, staff, supporters club members, trust mambers, etc should ALWAYS have priority over those part-timers who only come to watch the 'so called big teams' etc. And, fyi, I don't include you and your good lady in that. I can understand why you think there should be priorities but there are a lot of people, outside of ICT, who have been a part of Barry's career at some time who would like to show their appreciation of the guy. I may be wrong but I think Gary Wood signed a two year deal around january last season so he still has time to show he deserves another contract. I wonder though whether he would want to come back and be a bench warmer considering he's from Montrose, his father is a youth coach at Montrose and he will get regular first team football. As to whether Zander has benefitted I reserve judgement till I see him play SPL football. He shone in div 3 but can he bring that back to SPL. Vigurs I haven't seen enough of. Rory I dont know. I'd like to see him get 90 minutes to judge.

Maybe one day Charlie will write a book and all the truth will come out. Charlie Christie was trying to achieve just what Pele had done. He was trying to bring in players at little cost and, knowing people would come and go, trying to bring about continuity and develop younger players whilst maintaining the ethos of the dressing room. I have said it before and I'll say it again. CC was forced out, not by health or marital reasons, but by the problems of the board and being forced to play a player who was not ready to play.

Football fans are strange beings. They want their club to have ambition and vision but they cant see that the glory days for some players are over. Wyness is no longer of a standard to compete in this league.

For me (and i sponsor his shirt) he doesn't want to be here. He's had three or four trials at other clubs in the season he's been with us, including in Canada, but hasn't made the grade with any of them. He's also been allowed time at home. I think if he showed any potential at all he would have gotten the chance, if only to justify the wages he gets.

The question was 'who is the most over-rated player'. It seems to have turned into a 'who is the worst'. To be over-rated one needs to be rated first. The majority of SPL players, in my mind, are rated pretty equally. Most have good times and bad. The over-rating tends to come when the press intervene, especially with internationalists. i.e Miller, who isn't shining down south, but if he were dropped from the Scotland squad there'd be calls for his head. Pressley being another one. And, of course, Ferguson.

Romanov's players are Lithuanian...not Latvian. And most of them come here on loan so get round the work permit issue a bit easier. One of the problems with taking on young talent from eastern europe is the stupid laws on work permits.

Lets say Brewster gets another season and in the close season makes a half dozen or so changes that result in a team that starts next season with a winning run of more than six games. Will views change at all. I know Mee wont change cos she's still bitter at him letting Hissie go
