  1. Half time 2-0 Second half changes: Foran, Williams and Vincent replaced by McArthur, Rennie and Hull
  2. v Falkirk just now at Dingwall. ICT: Brill, Brown, MacLennan, Brown, Gilchrist, Vincent, Sutherland, Wedderburn, MacRae, Foran, Williams ICT SUBS: Hoban, MacArthur, Rennie, Blackett, Hull 2-0 at moment. Ali Sutherland penalty after Foran brought down in box followed by James Vincent strike
  3. Rumour on Twitter is that Hearts are requesting tomorrows game be postponed as they have 18 players down with a bug. They've already called off todays Development League game at Dundee
  4. Everything boils down to money. We have to have a first team squad and we have to have a development squad. Four or five years ago our average player wage was suggested as being around £700 a week. Now its being reported at over £1,000. The club income has remained pretty much the same over the years but the costs have risen. I'm inclined to think that cash is also the reason why contracts are as they are. Each time a player is offered a new contract there will likely be an increase in wage, a signing on fee and maybe even an agents fee to be agreed and paid. If a club is working hand to mouth, with no cash in the bank, as I think we are then that money is not always available. I'm also inclined to think maybe the chairman doesn't want to make offers until he can work out the projected budget for next year. To do that he needs to see what position we finish this term. The club is competing with County for fans and sponsorship in an area where there's not any big industry with loads of cash in their advertising budgets and unless a rich sugar daddy comes along with unlimited funds then I think there are two choices for survival. 1. We continue as we are and make the best of what we've got or 2. We become the first top league part time team in the country. Second choice does not bear thinking about.
  5. I'd say top six is not likely to happen, even if we could win both games. Dundee will probably lose to Celtic on Tuesday but home to Hamilton on saturday I'd expect them to win. I'd also expect County to win at home to Partick. Partick are also still in the mix for that sixth place spot. They've got United on Tuesday before travelling to County. With seven games to go we need to take all the points from United and Killie to guarantee safety. Its all to fight for but I think we'll be ok.
  6. John Beaton v Motherwell Willie Collum v Hearts
  7. All I could find on him was this report for U-13 game http://www.youthfootballscotland.co.uk/southeast/890-south-east-region-club-news/fauldhouse-foxes-fca-news-/2546-foxes-continue-fine-run-with-county-cup-success.html I also thought it 1st April when I read tweet but it was posted yesterday teatime.
  8. Apparently we've signed Aiden McKee on a PC. Not much info on him other than he's from Bathgate and previously played for Fauldhouse Foxes. Believe he's around 18 and a striker and was up on trial recently.
  9. No Charles I got the facts from here http://news.scotland.gov.uk/news/parliament-backs-2014-15-budget-8ff.aspx and here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/464199/HMRC_disaggregated_receipts_-_Methodology_Note.pdf GERS is not a reflection of how Scotland would fare on its own. All figures within GERS reflect how Scotland is faring under a WM government.
  10. You've got to love Bannermans anti SNP rhetoric. It comes across as so orange. SNP have successfully run our country, within the leash allowed by WM, for nine years. They will run it for at least five more. Why do I think that? Simple. The main two opposition are actually campaigning to be the opposition not the lead. What does that say about the ability to govern?
  11. There are two types of people against independence. Those who think we'd fail and those who are followers of the loyal William. Which one are you Charles? Fact: The Scottish budget for 2014/2015, as agreed by SP and WM, was £35 billion. Taxes raised in Scotland for same period £41.4 billion. If oil is taken out of the equation that figure is £40.1 billion. Anyone want to explain the black hole there.
  12. Wales squad Hennessey (Crystal Palace), Fon Williams (Inverness), Ward (Liverpool); A Williams (Swansea, capt), Chester (West Brom), Gunter (Reading), Matthews (Sunderland), Taylor (Swansea), Henley (Blackburn), Richards (Fulham), Davies (Tottenham), Vaughan (Nottingham Forest), Huws (Wigan), Allen (Liverpool), Ledley (Crystal Palace), MacDonald (Bournemouth), G Williams (Fulham), Isgrove (Southampton), Crofts (Brighton), J Williams (Crystal Palace), Cotterill (Birmingham), Robson-Kanu (Reading), Lawrence (Leicester), Church (MK Dons), Vokes (Burnley), Bradshaw (Walsall).
  13. I like nothing better than a good noisy atmosphere at football. However I dont understand the need to stand on seats or to damage them. When visiting fans cause damage the host club presents the visiting club for a bill to offset such. I believe the recent visit by Dundee United to Dingwall resulted in a hefty bill for that club. Thats cash that should be earmarked for other things.
  14. I'm quite sure that if the need arises any government will raise taxes. At the moment the SNP, like the tories, have no plans to do such. I trust they know the budget requirements for the early part of a new parliament
  15. Should that have been Caledonian and Thistle?
  16. First I'll make a point on the 7% leaving the country. This is fact. There are many people working in North Sea who are higher band tax payers. There are many others who work from home. These are the people who have indicated they'd move away. They dont need to find new jobs. Secondly to clarify the SNP position. What is actually being put forward is that SNP would freeze current tax rates such that nobody would be paying any more than they are at the moment but the UK gov reductions wouldn't apply in Scotland. In effect tyhat means people will pay more than they would elsewhere in UK. SNP also indicated that the top rate payers would be subjected to annual increases in line with inflation. Thats the SNP position which should be compared to that of other parties. Tories will follow UK and reduce tax for high earners. LibDem will increase tax across the board by 1%. Labour--well its kind of difficult to decypher their manifesto but I think they mentioned anything between 1% and 3% across the board. So what does it all mean for me. Well I live of a company pension. I pay tax on that pension. An SNP gov will not increase my tax burden. A Tory gov will not increase my tax burden. A Lab or LibDem gov will increase my tax burden. Anyway, Happy non-Indy day. Even the Daily Record is printing non-lies today on how things could have been. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics/scottish-government-advisor-ewan-crawford-7616553#YfbSPW1sLLOZ0eq0.97
  17. She's maybe Polly's granny but a County fan. He still loves her though and went to celebrate with her.
  18. Going by St J twitter not much in it between teams and few chances. Seems draw a fair result
  19. Tight game with little chances. One over the bar for each team 0-0 HT
  20. If we dont want to keep Brill why are we giving him development league time?
  21. I had thought the same from some of their recent results but after watching the derby game I change my thoughts. Arab defence is still abysmal. The only reason they looked dominant at any time in that game was as a result of Dundee sending off
  22. @ICTFC Subs: Foster, Blackett, Ferguson, Hull. We really are short of players
  23. The football team is Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and the company that runs the team is Inverness Thistle and Caledonian FC Limited. I have no clue about copyright of former names though.
  24. Think you may find the DSF to be an American organisation but its nice to see you read the report.
