  1. A lot of route one stuff im afraid - have we lost the ability to play through the midfield?
  2. The fact that BD was a full time telly pundit I'm not sure taking in Michael Stewart and Willie Miller would have helped much.
  3. What's gone right? That question would be simpler to answer - very little. League position after some seriously flaky performances flattered us. We are ,or are going to end up where we deserve to be.
  4. Can deduce that without the detailed analysis.
  5. I seem to recall we couldn't beat this Morton team in the cup shortly before the 6-1, so it looks like that result was merely a blip.
  6. I think our players, mostly, are above average for the division. At the moment, and for most of the season to be brutally honest we have been performing as a team ( disjointedly) way less than the sum of our parts. I think this might be coming from above. Not sure we have the right team to bring the team on the park together and improve them.
  7. Almost as many draws as wins now. Quite a few of those draws were of the hanging on at the end variety. Without our strong start where would we be?
  8. Numerous teams have visited us recently, and after about five minutes I have thought - ahh I see how they are trying to play, how they plan to get the ball up the park with quick passing, how they pull our defence out of position to create more space for the dangerous players to exploit - they seem well drilled, regardless of the quality of their players. I don't see that with us, we have a formation, evident at kick off, but I don't see a clear plan of attack once the ball starts moving. Occasionally we have periods of half decent passing, but this is often more like keep-ball as the opposition press us...leading to backpass to ridgers then hoof...(goal). Not sure what we practice during the week, but there's not much sign of a cohesive plan week to week. What is annoying, as some have alluded to, is that when we do create a good chance we don't often finish it, and despite our goals conceded being quite good - if we can't score then it only takes one goal to win the game. I don't think we have enough pace in the team, particularly in the middle - too often caught up the park trying to force a goal and easily countered with quick breaks. Not sure it's worth signing anyone at this stage unless he will guarantee us goals.
  9. He needs some time out of the team anyway, whether this has been on his mind or not. Seems he is hard to drop even when his contributions are minimal.
  10. Already knocked back two offers I believe.
  11. https://www.thenational.scot/sport/19846588.st-johnstone-table-six-figure-bid-inverness-defender-robbie-deas/?ref=rss I'd like to think our squad will expand, not contract. Don't need to entertain this offer, not now.
  12. Not good news, he could cause us problems. I suppose his wages would have been an issue with a loan deal for us.
  13. Boris will remain (despite having a ludicrous hardcore of followers) as long as the powers behind the throne let him. Now brexit is done and the worst of covid might be behind us the time is right for a new face to win the next election. His antics are no surprise to those who put him there and backed him, now the same ones who have kept a lid on things for the past few years are stepping back as the bus comes hurtling towards him.
  14. This has been the underlying sentiment for months now.
  15. If we'd got a goal from that ass-ist it would have been superb.
  16. Just waiting for someone to blame the wind at Arbroath or covid for that load of bollocks. The mediocrity of the teams around us are keeping this race going. Good debut by Mr Donaldson at Morton warms the heart though, shipping 4 with a bonus og too. Nice.
  17. Currently in 4th. Haven't seen too much to indicate a 2-1 is possible, unless Raith can get another. Subs needed.
  18. As per usual. Good goal, but backed off & gave him all the time he needed. Walsh & Sutherland poor.
