  1. It is normally shown 'live' on the BBC website, but is not available afterwards - usual copyright nonsense. A kind soul will have to record that segment if possible if you can't get to see it when it goes out.
  2. You beauty!!! What a comeback. Great guns.
  3. A great three points, but I can feel a twinge of sympathy for the Dons after that weekend. They had the chances, more than us, but just couldn't convert them. A draw would have been fair enough, but we got more luck than them. A lot of people shouting at the end. Will be McGhee be offered the pearl-handled revolver, or will they let him fall on his sword at Ibrox?
  4. Frantic finish - Aberdeen really want this (understandably) - we're hanging on, but could always get a break
  5. Very unlucky Rooney didn't score - nice control and shot from right of the goal. Looked goalbound but went past.
  6. I don't think he dived, there seemed to be a bit of jostling in the box. Nothing unusual, I think even he was surprised it was a pen. A bit harsh on the Dons, but Rooney slotted it beautifully considering the keeper went the right way. Aberdeen actually had the better of the play and looked much more like scoring than we did, apart from a nice chance we had at the very beginning. Esson made a great save to keep it 0-0. They don't really deserve to be behind, but such is football. I expect they will come out fighting in the second half.
  7. Well we famously saw off John Barnes. Mark McGee could be another scalp. They're feeling the pressure, I hope we can keep our away record intact.
  8. Well, I would wait until next saturday at 5 pm, before getting too excited. But, yes, could be handy.
  9. Anyone in touch with those at the stadium? would love to hear about the atmosphere, and what the much discussed entertainment was like. As if the team aren't providing enough as it is :D
  10. I doubt if the people who lost their jobs would agree. Thankyou for putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. As a science teacher I would have thought you would know a logical fallacy when you see, or utter, one. The question was whether the effects of relegation - despondency and gloom - were in the end 'worth' going through. Some of us found a silver lining in that cloud, using it to regain some perspective on what we expect. That does not mean we actively wanted it to happen, or took any pleasure in those whose jobs were affected by it. That is equivalent to saying that a hard winter makes one appreciate spring/summer more - you, on the other hand, would have us saying that we could care less about the old people killed by the cold (!) Enduring a hard winter doesn't mean we wished for it, or wanted it. Still, as a gentleman of the press, I guess you are familiar with such category errors.
  11. Wilsononourwing def, for encouraging positivity at a time of doom and gloom from the usual suspects :P And for being uncannily accurate with his predictions!
  12. Well, I believe WOTW deserves a beer from all of us, for showing how a bit of faith and optimism can change the atmosphere for the better , and in the process help the team. Keep it up for next season, we might need it
  13. Yes, it was worth it. We will always have ups and downs. The downs make the ups all the sweeter. This year is a good lesson that however bad it seems at the time, we will always rise again. So stick with us and have a bit of faith
  14. Yer just trying to tempt that IHE out of his lair. Maybe he's smelling the coffee at the mo
  15. No worries if it stays as it is: both Dundee and County can only get the same points as us, but both would have to beat us on goal difference. Dundee would have to win by 18 goals at least in 3 games, County by 27 in 5. Ha ha
  16. A Rooney belter tipped over the bar. How are we going to hang on to this boy?
  17. If results stay as they are, County can win the league only by us losing our remaining games, and them winning all theirs and improving their goal difference by 27. I don't think I will lose a wink of sleep over that possibility
  18. :ohmy:Dundee fans are leaving the stadium! :D
  19. :ohmy:Dundee fans are leaving the stadium! :D
  20. What was Granty's goal like? Was it a set piece, what was he doing up there? Good fella, now to your defensive duties!
  21. There is no doubt it is a great result, good luck them, it might take their mind off us for a while . But as I remember it, our result was a genuine shockwave at the time. Today may result in the end of Lennon, but it doesn't feel like the major trauma that Celtic received at our hands. Partly that is because the OF have had their share of defeats by 'lower' teams increased since then, it is no longer unthinkable, and also because Celtic were absolutely pitifully bad today (and County were very disciplned, well organised and took their chances). One enjoyable aspect of the commentary was the number of times they mentioned ICT and our famous victory - haha, even with their best result, they can't escape our shadow looming over them :025:
  22. Too right - stuff the contracting out to corporate profit makers, get in local pies, and support the Inverness economy! Better all round.
  23. Pressure and fatigue will no doubt play a vital role for all three teams challenging for the title. So, to keep it simple, expect the unexpected! There will be more twists and turns than yer granny on a bike going down Stephen's Brae. It will go to the last day, with a few nerves shredded along the way. On second thoughts I have a solution. Surely the new Doctor Who assistant is an ICT fan, it goes without saying - can she no borrow the sonic screwdriver for us, or do some timewarping when necessary?
  24. It would be extremely surprising if we don't drop points before the end of the season. But so might others. Personally I wouldn't be surprised at all if it comes down to the last game of the season. After last season, it just seems like a likely fate. We've done incredibly well to come back like this, but it's going to be a bumpy ride to the end. But isn't that part of the fun? Don't assume anything, but enjoy the ride.
