  1. Eh, I don't know. Like everybody else here, I was speculating as to whether the lawyers were encouraging one or other. It is all rather mystifying. :025: Why can't they just settle on a compromise out of court?
  2. Ok, so none of us really know what occurred, and we all have half-remembered stories and media speculation. ICT must have some legal advice which encourages them, so all we can do is wait and see what happens. I hope they win, though.
  3. Thanks Scotty, for summarising. It's a pity that both parties could not have come to a compromise which would have saved dragging it out with lawyers and courts involved.
  4. Well, I wish the club well in its appeal. There are obviously some contentions about what constitutes 'initiating' a transfer, where the actions are deemed to decide the case in absence of any written evidence. I have always felt Marius was here for an easy ride, as much dosh as he could extract, and use it as a stepping stone to getting back to a wealthy club. It may be that he thinks a little club can be bullied by his lawyers. I can understand the club feeling they were done over, and want to resist being rolled over by him. I don't get why so many seem more eager to use it as another excuse to bash their club, or it just a reflex which kicks in every time?
  5. Terry might not have built a league winning side, but he does seem to have built a good cup side - a good run would be great for morale as well as the accountants. Might lift our league form as well - a storming second half of the season would be just the tonic to blow the (dark) blues away.
  6. Surely a good chance against killie next?
  7. 'Best player on the park' Hayes is subbed for Imrie - recurrence of ankle injury according to robbo. Come on, lads, keep it up in the second half.
  8. A Monday night, after an away Sat fixture? Where is the sense in that, and what is wrong with tuesday or wed?
  9. The Hogmanay Party in the Northern Meeting Park has been cancelled on the advice of the Police: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/fu...manay_bash.html Due to the conditions underfoot and on the roads. If this weather keeps up, the police could take a similar view for the game, let's hope not :(
  10. Yes, will the paperwork go through in time for him to play on Saturday, and what is the likelihood that he will score?? :D
  11. That wasn't a red card, yellow at most. Absurd decision.
  12. bollix, we could have killed this match in the first half.
  13. Thanks for the Zattoo link, Scotty, working a treat. What a performance, Robbo reckons it is the best 45 min under Butcher by a long way. Certainly looks like it. Looks like the good old Caley Thistle (apart from that naff strip) - keep that pressure up, don't sit back, we could be 3 or 4 up.
  14. Butcher's being found out, and he knows it. That's why is he is trying to deflect blame on to his own players, while conveniently forgetting it's his team and his tactics.
  15. "I've had enough with one or two people in particular" sayz Terry. Aye, so have we - with Butcher and Malpas. The players you're so keen to blame are your choices.
  16. 'What we have' is a result of Butcher and Malpas' choices and decisions, acting as if Butcher is somehow 'let down' by the players and tactics he is responsible for doesn't make sense, it just makes excuses.
  17. Butcher is mince. I think he's actually worse than Brew. Of course he won't be sacked, but I am counting the days until he goes, hopefully at the end of the season, and we can get a manager who understands how to organise a team, and who can sign decent up and coming players who won't be commuting from England.
  18. Charles, I realise you are not up to speed with modern life, but can you really not get some of those supposedly bright students of yours to help you sell it to the diaspora?
  19. Looking forward to this, but not a very good advert for the IRA if none of your pupils is capable of setting up a simple website with a Paypal or equivalent option. Postal orders? Are you sure they still exist in the age of electronic money? Tsk, are you still teaching them with slates and inkwells? Nostalgia is one thing, but I didn't realise you actually teach it
  20. Which makes you wonder how good his judgement is. Are we getting the Motherwell Butcher or the Brentford one? It's not just the team who have to knuckle down and start showing us what they are worth.
  21. I mind the Milkman with his horse, was it Farmer's Dairy, who had stables down by the old Academy Playing Fields? I remember one morning my Dad urging me to run out and ask the milkman what the score was the previous night, when Caley had played Hearts. News wasn't the instant commodity it is now, and we certainly didn't have a telephone. Anyway, I ran across the street and asked with baited breath, "Do you know what the score was last night at the Caley match?" "Aye, 6-0 to Hearts" Dad was nonplussed. I don't think he was expecting a shock upset.
  22. Blah blah board blah blah muppets blah blah blah if only blah blah apology blah blah blah me me me When you get down off the mountain top, maybe you can get your toys back in the pram :thumb04: :018: ;)
