Is there nothing this club can do right. Did anyone make an assessment as to how many people might want to turn up, then add press and other interested parties then come up with a venue to suit? Instead they have capped numbers and hoped for the best. They owe fans, shareholders, season ticket holders answers to some searching questions. This might be their way of trying to limit that!!! Seriously not good enough.

It would be good if at the meeting on Monday if someone could ask what this 200k is actually for. Is it wages, bills , puma contract, legal fees , administrators fees, paying off directors loans ?????? People so far seem to be putting some cash in, but how will it be spent? Also if the target is not raised and admin does happen, do contributors get their money back or do administrators get it? Hope this get clarified before I decide if I can afford to give something.

You’re right, I have never played the game. I work in the NHS. I think the travel time to Ayr is under 4 hrs. In the D&E coach the club use with cooking facilities, tables, reclining seats,toilet etc, hardly a hardship. Pre match meal, play the game , back up the road with food on the coach. Not exactly a hard shift. Doesn’t seem to enhance their performance, regardless who is paying!

Overnight accommodation for where ???? A Championship now league 1 club in Scotland. Hardly huge distances to travel for a draw !! Talk about living outside of the means of the club. Get your money in to crowdfund this unnecessary expense!

Absolutely agree he seems more grounded and engaged than other directors. I understand he has not put a penny into the club, so why is he now in a position to preside over the club given he was in a great position to challenge the previous regimes actions. Was it because he was appointed by RM & SG ???

Shows he doesn’t need the money then. A gesture to save his job??? or a true act of kindness to the club???

The current board who are culpable for our current financial mess have shown they are not capable of running the club. By not holding them to account they might be free to repeat the same level of incompetence!

Perhaps wait until after the 16th of October and see how things are after that. Seems any money the club raises in the next two weeks is for wages etc, including that of the over rated over paid manager!!!!

He is a business man first and foremost. He would have known some of the big issues from his previous association with the club and his association with two of the current directors. Perhaps the issues he now finds are bigger than he first thought, but it was widely reported before he took his consultancy role that he wouldn’t take the entire thing on with all of someone else debt.

Perhaps admin was his plan all along. Buy it cheap without the debt, then run it as he sees fit with his board / people.

The players are protected under SFA / SPFL rules and must have their contracts paid / honoured. They do I believe have the option to leave their contracts if they wish to move elsewhere if the club enters admin. Players can’t be sold if they don’t want to move( i.e those settled here), so in that respect they are protected, unlike the staff employees who are not.

Will be interesting to hear DF,s next pre match press conference. I hope the journalists are brave enough to ask the proper questions. What is his genuine view of the current situation, what has he said to the players, what assurances has he given them as to contract fulfilment etc. I believe players are protected if admin happens. Most importantly……….. will he stay. Then he can talk about how he will set about drawing with Arbroath!!!

The 200k that it is said in the letter is needed in 14 days time or administration is inevitable, what will that be spent on? Wages, bills, what other costs? I have bought a season ticket, an away shirt and bought stuff at the kiosk. They now want me to pay the wages through crowd funding !!!!!!!!!! This is an absolute joke of a mess. Directors step up or GTF!!!!

He is also paying the wages, so fair play if he is shelling out for players too. Wasn,t Dundee one of the Clubs we owed money for Cammy Kerr? That must have been paid to allow this deal I assume.

This can’t be right surely ????? Spending money on loan signings we can’t afford is part of the reason we are in a mess !!!!

I agree with all of your points above. I would also like to know why there was a severe lack of engagement with players and staff after relegation over the summer. Who between management, ceo and board thought it was ok to say nothing and let players contracts run out without so much as a word from the club. Shameful negligence, unprofessional behaviour.

Totally agree…….. they are culpable for our situation!

C,Mon……. A stenny team full of injuries and depleted bench and we scrape a goalless draw !!!!! Musa makes a great save to gain a point. Get this manager and his coaching team gone from our club before it’s too late !!!!! Surely everyone can see this ?????

Certainly better value than watching their football 🙂.
