  1. Yes TCF, but if you had your way Tokely would be playing as a striker
  2. I think Brew may already have cottoned on to that, but with Dennis not fit and Bayne being truely dreadful this season, hes had no other options. I can see a striker with pace coming in in the summer to spearhead Brews 4-5-1 away from home. Dean Shiels please Offiong more likely (although he'd be great aswell)
  3. Awful game. The wind didn't help mind, worst conditions for football so far this season. I didn't actually think Tokely played that bad, but what a bloody stupid tackle. Tackle from behind in the penalty box ffs, and everyone knows how easy Miller goes down. There were some positives, although very few. Fraser had a good game, couple of good stops, his kicking wasn't to great but I think those that were at the game will agree with me that any keeper in the world would have struggled to judge their kicks in those conditions. I thought Richard Hastings edged it as our best player on the day. Good to see a big crowd down. Brewsters right, we did dominate, there was a period in the second half where Aberdeen couldn't even get it out of their own half, but we failed to create any real clear cut chances, Marius was probably the best. Marius had a stinker today, his worst game yet, but then out of knowhere he played this unbeleiveable pass out wide to Hastings (I think) lifting it over the defender with the outside of his boot and curling it into Hastings path. I don't think the midfield really clicked today, blackie had the closest thing to a good game, but even he was giving away stupid passes. Bayne was awful today aswell, several chances where the ball was played over the top of the defence, but he didn't have the pace to get their, so he just gave up. Why Wyness didn't come on i'll never know. There was a period in the second half where corner after corner was dropping in the Aberdeen box, and all it needed was that "fox in the box" type player to pop up and stick in the back of the net.
  4. Im not quite sure I understand whats going on, has Frail been dismissed, demoted or what.
  5. BBC says Phil will play, but if not I wouldn't be suprised if Caff came in, can't see Watt playing.
  6. There's a challenge then ..... for the end of 2008, come up with a few "sketches" you would like to see on OAE from what happens in the SPL in the coming 12 months and post it as an alternative to IHE's panto ....... Blimey... I really should learn to keep my mouth shut.

  8. Watons impressions are top drawer, Souness in particular. However the comedy is poor, I could have written some of that pap.
  9. Hmm :024: Perhaps weve seem Diamond at different times, but he's been there stand out player everytime I've seen them.
  10. Diamond is out :022:
  11. Whats even better about that is that we have some tremendous impact subs if things arn't quite going to plan, Wyness, Wilson, Brew etc.
  12. Its a credit to the guys character that he stuck around for so long despite not getting a game, you get very few players like that anymore, I remember him specifacally coming over to the North Stand during his warm up to sign autographs. Top man, awra best :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  13. A rare occasion, Don - I couldn't agree more :004: I wonder whether Phil O'Donnell would have wanted any Motherwell games postponed, let alone those involving other sides. If, by 'this country', you mean Britain, you're spot on - the only thing Boris Johnson got wrong was in singling out Merseyside. Folk in these islands are turning into a proper bunch of navel-gazing ambulance-chasers. People die, and it's proper that those left behind mourn, but a sense of proportion seems to have gone out of the window. I agree that the other games shouldn't have been cancelled, but the idea that you would ask the Motherwell players to return to training let alone a game is just out of the question after that.

  15. Now that it looks like the game will continue, who's coming. Would be nice if we could get a big crowd down to pay their respects to Phil O'Donnell
  16. BBC says the other 4 are on. I understand where his family and Motherwell FC are coming from, but its a shame, the Celtic game would have been the perfect tribute to him.
  17. Huh :symbol_question:
  18. Havn't been able to watch motd tonight, what was it like. And on a similar note, I wonder how the BBC will handle their highlights package.
  19. I wonder if wednesdays games will go ahead, particularly motherwells. I presume if they do there will be a minute silence.
