  1. Perhaps c4l you should sacrifice the Ultras tag. I have no problem with it, and I do think its down to oldfartism :004: but others on here clearly have issues with the name, and I pressume you want to try and get all the fans at the stadium involved and create a bit of atmpsohere, we don't want to alienate anyone. Also, I don't think I can be ersed going around Aberdeen and being constantly reminded of one more thing wev'e copied/pinched from them. Although Bridge End Ultras is a quality name.
  2. caley4life, check your personal messages, Ive pm'd you.
  3. What a positive first post. I look forward to many other contributions to this site from fpbc1935. And when did Burke get a decent cross in by the way?
  4. Yup, Ive not too much problem with it, we wouldn't have sold those tickets, and they wern't causing any harm.
  5. I don't mind Brian Irvine But that new guy, Liam McLoud, does all the stuff on the internet. Hes not that bad a commentator, just has the most annoying voice :029:
  6. I couldn't agree more. I think this was very naive managing by Brewster - he thinks McBain can play anywhere, but he is a very one sided player (that's LEFT sided Brew) and should not be playing right midfield especially when we have Wilson and Hart who could play there. I thought our other worst player on Sunday was Paatelinan (sp), I would prefer to see McBain on the left instead (pity we lost Rankin as he played well there). I was really disapponted with Brewster and Thompson as I would have expected more from them than playing a guy so obviously out of position, TBH it was a shame for Roy to be asked to play there as he had to cut back inside everytime on to his favoured left. My hero Quality post :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  7. Your point caller, McBain scored a screamer earlier this season.
  8. McGeady started on the left because Nakamura was injured (if you view my original post I say that you should only play a player on his wrong side if you have to) and no he was not immese against us, he did the only thing that he could do, he cut inside and had a shot.

Someone ran a poll on P&B a few weeks back asking who was the best player ever to play for your club. Several Cowdenbeath fans said Marcus.
  10. McGeady/Nakamura At Sellick First and foremost, Nakamura always starts on the left flank, and McGeady always starts on the right. They do this stupid switch thing but never get any joy down the flanks, they have to continually cut inside, which only works if you plan on taking a shot on, otherwise its a pointless excercise.
  11. I was critical of Tokely when he lost us the St Mirren game (in hindsight you could argue that that was our worst result of the season,) but I thought he was very good yesterday. Tomcaleyjag, did Burke get single cross in yesterday. I remember when we were promoted, I began to worry that if we continued to do as well as we were doing, the fans would expect too much, the moment a player makes a few mistakes he is not good enough to play for the club and should be immediately dropped (I call it the "Aberdeen FC syndrome"). If half the posters on this site had had their way, Fraser wouldn't have played and would have lost to Celtic, and probably by more yesterday. It seems that people have decided to look past the many other qualities Rosccoe has, because he isnt a technically fantastic footballer.
  12. i think its a bit unfair to critisice McBain , its pretty simple, you don't play a left footed player out on the right flank if you don't have to. Brewster got it wrong there, which is a shame as I thought that apart from that he got his tactics spot on on Sunday.

Just watched the highlights of the rangers game, theres a chance where I think its Hastings that crosses in for Marcus, what a first touch. Pitty he didn't have the legs to carry him through, or that would have been a goal. That does generally seem to be his problem, he is a technically good, direct player, but he looks slow and clumsy when on the ball. Hopefully this is just lack of match practice, as there were one or two good runs, where he would cut inside, then cut outside again, sending Papac for pie and chips.
  14. And lets not even mention the hair :017:
  15. Didn't think we were that bad today. Fraser was awesome, nuff said. Rossce is getting slandered, yes it was an awful miss, but I thought he had a good game today. Yet again we saw how technically superior Niculae is. Pitty hes such a slow fecker. Proctor was awesome, nuff said. Record attendance, not bad. Finally we got to see Barry, and he made an immediate impact. Its not just good to have him back from a novelty point of view, he's a terrific player. Black was awesome, nuff said. Concerned about Cowie, his hearts not there. McBain wide right :029: Hastings was awesome. nuff said.
  16. Rosscoe had Burke in his pocket the entire first half.

Rangers are so cool. Thank you for helping us fill our stadium. Your right whenever Rangers come to town, our stadium is full. At least until the last 20 minutes :023:
  21. Anybody have any primary age children going spare.
  22. It'd take more than a wee skid to knock the big man down. Looking forward to him getting his well deserved revenge on Boyd, still can't get it out of my mind how awful that tackle was. Good to hear he's ok mind :022:
  23. I actually have no beef whatsoever with Rankin moving. Although I would like to see some sort of thank you to the club and the fans for getting him in a position where he can sign for one of the countries top 5 clubs, the fact of the matter is Hibs can offer him more wages, more cups and more marketability (1 and half million pounds for Murphy :015:) than we can. At the moment :011:
