Who will take our penalties....
I agree Cowie looks like he can put the ball where he wants it to go, his freekick against Killie is still the stand out goal of season so far.

Barry Robson's winner
It was a ferocious hit, should add another couple of 100k to his price tag. Flood missed a sitter.

whats the crack with rankin?
Rankin is a better passer, can get past players better, has more of a threat at set pieces and is a much better crosser than Marcus and has a better shot. I think that both have qualities the other doesn't. For example Marcus is much more of an aerial threat than John. We aren't being linked with them are we? Marcus is far better at beating players than John. But I don't think you can compare the two, Rankin is a left midfielder (I've always thought his playing style was very similar to Beckhams), wheras Marcus is more of a winger type player. And unfortunatley were are being linked with those two. Can't say much for Duff myself having only seen him against Caley, but Byrne is feckin awful!

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: What about Stipe Pletikosa, Rene Higuita, Rogerio Ceni, Hamish McAlpine, Jose Chilavert and Hans Jorg Butt? They have all scored from the spot and taken penalties as the first choice in their team at some point in their career and even Peter Schmeichel once scored from the spot for Denmark. So why not let Michael Fraser try taking one? It's rarely done so much now but I don't see the point in not trying it and if it all goes wrong then it shouldn't be tried again but, don't see the harm in letting it be done once. A penalty is not something that you experiment with. Chilavert is the only keeper up there that took regular penalties, and Paraguay used to loose alot of goals from it. The others took penalites during a penalty shoot out. Even if you take the goalie factor away, Fraser is not the best penalty taker in the team, so why should it be him? For the novelty factor? If you dont see the harm of not only having your goalie up that end of the field, let alone risking what should 80% of the time be a stick on goal, then I despair.

The Choirboys
Don't get me wrong, I thought it was very humerous and all, but under new regulations can we not get the book thrown at us by the SFA for the "HIV capital" one. After the Rangers debacle, the SFA are desperate to prove that there not pansies on the whole "offensive singing" issue, and I can see them seeing us as the perfect way of clamping down on it, what clout do we have?

Hibs 3 v ICT 0 Sunday, Jan 13, 2008 It was a disappointing result. On a personal note, I was glad to make an appearance albeit after we had conceeded the third goal. We was not at our best today, and Hibs were given a boost after the appointment of their new management team. It was nice to see Parky although it was weird seeing him shouting for every decision going against his team but not to benefit us. The game started off pretty even and and you could sense Hibs nervousness in the opening exchanges. Once they scored their first goal the free flowing football was there for all to see and all signs of nerves were gone. We did have a couple of chances to get ourselves back into the game before the end of the first half but went in 1-0 down at half time. We started brightly in the second half but couldn't get the goal we needed to boost our chances of winning the game. We made a couple of substitutions, Dennis and Proc coming on for Bayne and Chipper (Cowie). Despite the changes Hibs went on to score 2 more goals which meant a hatrick for Hibs' Dean Shiels! I came on for Blackie and although there was little time left I was glad to get back into action as I hadn't made a first team appearance since October. Phil was harshly sent off at the death and this summed up our day! It was a good turnout from the fans once again, and it put a smile on my face to hear them chanting my name. The only time I will be cutting any shapes (dancing) is when I put the ball in the back of the net and I'm celebrating :022:

Can Marius break his duck today
Thing is though, in theory, Bayne was the one who was going for the flick ons and Niculae might have been the one who was going to be looking for them. Bayne had at least some chance against Jones. Niculae didn't. And Deano certainly didn't! :015: I agree. Longball with Niculae and Bayne on = :020: Long Ball with Denzil and Deano on = :crap02: :kermit:

Can Marius break his duck today
I think I only saw that once, when both him and Cowie went for a header. Everyone has a go at everyone, don't know if anyone saw Fraser take a fit when he pinged a ball forward to McBain and Roy just got knocked out the way. Blackie has goes at everyone, its part of his character. However Marius' lack of pace was on show again today. Another striker with a good bit of pace to run on to his clever flick ons would be good. There was one at the other end today, pity all chanceof getting him has vanished.

Can Marius break his duck today
Had a funny game today. At his worst he missed an absolute sitter, and couldn't capitalise when through on goal. At his best he was ripping hibs apart with back heels and little flicks. Also had one brilliant run into the box, pity he couldn't get the ball onto his right.

Mystery Investors
Agreed, Dundee is the example. I remember when they were willing to pay 1million for James McFadden.

No New Signings Planned For January
I was sure his loan was up and till the end of the season.

Manager of the Month
Quote from Niculae from official site: Striker Marius Niculae who has scored 8 goals this season commented "I am very happy to win this award. The gaffer called me last night to tell me and I was very surprised as I just wasn't expecting it. I am proud to win this award and I am proud to wear the Inverness top." Good man :022:

Brewster Calls Time.....
Deserves a testimonial, terrific player, you have to be to carry Crawford like that for so long. Technically and physically a wonderful player, the best technical player we have in our squad. Its a pity we couldn't get a bit more out of him.

No New Signings Planned For January
We need pace up-front, particularly for games away from home.

St Midden v. Huns rained off
Aye just noticed the Gretna game sandwiched in the fixture list. Hutton being out is a bonus though. That'll probably mean Whittaker will take his place and that wee girlie Burke will be on the wing Burke is a terrific player. 2 seasons ago we lost 3-2 to them at caley park. Burke ripped the ****.

Hutton off to Spurs?
I think Sir Alex disagrees :004:
