I'm sure there's still a few Ferguson apologists who'll try and tell us the squad was the problem and not the manager. Regardless we can't change what's come before and need to keep putting in performances like we've seen the last few games. The football is entertaining and the players have a growing belief in themselves. Not a bad performance from any of them today and hopefully Davidson's injury isn't as bad as it looked. Special mention for young Thompson who acquitted himself very well today. Left everything he had to give on the pitch. Also to Billy "who says I can't last 90 minutes" Mckay who was unfortunate not to be on the scoresheet today.

If you could change one event in the clubs history what would it be? It can be anything. E.g. signing or selling/releasing a player, managerial appointment, chairman/director/ceo appointment, outcome of a match etc. The only caveat is that everything after the event is not guaranteed to happen. E.g. if Butcher had stayed we wouldn't necessarily have won the Scottish Cup but we may also not have appointed Gardiner as ceo! Would be interesting to see the reasoning for the change and how you think things would be different today.

I have said before that I thought the council had made the right decision but the process by which they had arrived at it was an utter shambles. In saying that I don't think this decision leaves the club in a great position. Morrison would have been more inclined to forgive what he claims he's owed by the club had he made his money back from the battery storage and that's not going to happen now. That will make it harder for the administrators to do a deal with any potential investors if Morrison wants paid or equity in return.

It's credit to Kellacher that the mindset and approach has changed so immediately. We're seeing it in how the team play and in press conferences and interviews that we've moved from an attitude of 'must not lose' to a more positive 'we can win'. Things aren't perfect but that's being acknowledged with a view to working on improvements instead of throwing out tired excuses and complaints and playing victim. Survival in league 1 is still a monumental challenge and whether we manage it or not there feels like there is a true sense of belief about the club again that's been missing for a long time. We play the league leaders again next week and I'm looking forward to it.

Provided all the assets are not sold off and transferred to another company then that's good news and should protect the supporters trust shareholding. I do worry about the sell off/transfer option though as it's the only realistic way for a new investor to get a controlling shareholding and there would be no requirement for them to honour the supporters trust shareholding. It could also mean that Ross Morrison could get a sizeable percentage of the shareholding in the new company as a settlement.
-
My understanding of that is shareholders liability extends to the value of any shares they own which would mean that administrators could sell them to meet the club liabilities? This would seem unlikely as an insolvent company is essentially worthless but if a buyer is looking for a majority shareholding and there's insufficient unsold shares available it could be an option they utilise? Under such circumstances I'd think they are more likely to go down the road of transferring/selling any assets to a new company and totally wiping the shareholding situation clean? Of course this would need agreement from cgf to transfer the lease and from the league to transfer the membership. Maybe this is why Savage was keen for the council to come to the table.
-
From reading a work colleagues letter it looks like it's the compulsory notice they have to send all shareholders informing them of administration and they've also included the "let us know if we owe you money" bit.
-
CGF decide the terms of the lease but not what the land is zoned for which is for the council to decide. CGF could agree transfer of the lease to a supermarket tomorrow but without a change in planning they couldn't build a new store. ICTFC fans want the council to lean one way with the fairways site and another way with the stadium site due to the mindset that the entire city is somehow responsible for ensuring the football club has a future. It's the very definition of hypocrisy.
-
The hypocrisy of some fans is incredible. Want council to stand strong on land use at stadium but hammer them for standing strong on land use at site of the battery farm.
-
Positive news indeed. Anyone who knows anything about the club knows it's potential with the right people running it and that will be as important as whoever owns/controls it.

It's great to have enough action for us to put in a highlight reel.

I wonder if any of our old media team would consider coming back now that things have changed? It would be great to have the live match commentary, live text updates, highlights that don't look like they're filmed on a nokia 3310 and things again.

Like everyone I would prefer 3 points from any performance but if we're not going to take 3 points I at least want to be entertained and I felt like we got that today. Sure feels much better than sitting through 90 minutes of knocking the ball about in our own half. But we did score and in only 3 mins. No point getting all Victor Meldrew about it. The squad is what it is for now and moaning won't change that.

A much more entertaining game and satisfying performance overall from the team. If we're going to draw games I'd rather do it as we did today with a bit of fight. Kelty the ones playing for the draw in the end was also a nice change as we pushed right until the final whistle. Kelty keeper for motm frustratingly.

Great comments from both Kell and Louis. Positive and realistic which is what we all need to be right now.

A little surprised to see that the bookies have us as favourites for today but it perhaps backs the thoughts of many of us who believe our squad is capable of more than they've been allowed to achieve so far this season. Might stick a fiver on us to win by 2 or more.

With players taking a case against the club for breach of contract there may be very good legal reasons why nobody has been allowed to contact them.
-
I am among those that wouldn't have picked Brooks to go. Depending on wage and accommodation costs it may have been a case of letting one go to keep two in order to maintain a minimum squad size. Unpleasant for all players let go but of the group I would imagine Brooks will get most interest form elsewhere. Knowing how these things normally go for us he'll pop up against us soon enough.

I've decided I'm going to ignore the league table and try and just enjoy the football in the hope we get effort (never doubted it from players) and style that generates a bit if excitement. I think if the support can give the team that kind of freedom and not lump 'survival pressure' on then we'll see the best from them. Let's treat it like a 25 game pre season in preparation for next year. Financially there's not a great deal of difference between L1 and L2 and Savage has already said the plan is preparation for relegation so I have no additional concerns there.
-
Alan Savage said "We can all now concentrate on football, no sideshows. I am pleased to be a part of that." And then he goes on to talk about getting a restaurant franchise into the stadium. I'm not saying we don't need to make better use of the stadium to generate income but opening restaurants is not concentrating on football and is a sideshow.
-
-
I'm starting to think you actually believe that and aren't just playing some weird game of pedantry.
-
Given Savage was talking about people enjoying the view etc I think it was very much a sit in style affair he was talking about. If we wanted to do fast food then one of the concourses would surely be better suited. Everything is worth exploring I just find it strange that during such a press conference it would be placed out there front and centre as a big idea especially after commenting that we'd have no more sideshows. We were told that about the concerts and battery farm. Stay as we are and face no loses until the venture fails the space ends up out of use during any eviction period and not generating income and then we have to pay to convert it back into something it can be used for. I know more people say they trust Savage but we had people saying the same when Muirfield came in and then when Crook came in and then Morrison came in (we had someone else among that too but I forget his name). 'Give them a chance' hasn't served us very well the last few years and this is a red flag for me.
