Ferguson is, by the proverbial country mile, THE WORST manager in the club's history. Ostracised MacGregor, Ujdur and Brooks last season, green lighted the departure of Welsh and Carson, brought in a raft of loanee jobbers and persisted with tactics which were doomed to fail. If that wasn't grounds enough to dislike the guy he didn't even have the decency to engage with Dorran, Ridgers, Esson and co when they were dumped. The outcome of his hapless reign is well documented and the catalyst for the current sh1tshow. A narcissistic, nepotistic drain on our resources who has no apparent raport with either his players or the fans. Get him gone.

Great video which throws the local media's journalistic integrity over this entire debacle into sharp contrast. For the current board and our forner Chairman, a self avowed fan of the club, to rubber stamp this bin fire of a deal they should be forever damned. Shameful and self serving in equal measure. The apparent lack of due diligence and absence of even a cursory duty of care towards either the club or fans is truly mind blowing. I cannot for a second imagine this Walter Mitty-esque fantasist can possibly front up with the money required to conclude the deal unless he's bankrolled by fellow shysters with the sole intention of capitalising on the demise of the club. You think things can't get any worse and then the fourth horseman of the ICT apocalypse rides into town. Truly the darkest of days.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong but based on his Companies House profile I wouldn't trust this guy's ability to afford a round of Harry Gow pies at half time

Was today not the deadline given by our illustrious board for the takeover/investment to be concluded? Usual tumbleweed scenes ensue.....who'd have thunk it.

Very sad news. A genuine force of nature and undoubtedly a legendary figure in the Caley and ICT support over many decades. Saw him at Annan ten days ago with Mrs Johndo and his young grandkids. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. Had a chuckle at Naelifts' story about his pitchside ambulance adventure in Romania. Johndo somehow made a miraculous recovery and I bumped into him in rude health back in Bucharest a few hours later. RIP Johndo

The guy's as thick as a whale steak. Tone deaf and unable to comprehend why we're p1ssed off at the absolute clownshow he's a party to. He has zero rapport with the fans, players (current or former), his former coaching team and now has a pop at the hard working ground staff. Yet he sits tight picking up a fat pay cheque from a club on the brink that can ill afford his continued tenure. To add insult to injury he then has the temerity to big up his playing style which has seen back-to-back relegations at his current and former clubs. Get him gone along with his cheerleader general.

We were 5-3-2 with Bray and Strachan as wing backs. Devine, Savage and Davidson three centre backs. Gilmour McLeod and Longstaff in midfield. Billy and Brookes up front. I was very impressed with McLeod in midfield. I thought Strachan and Bray did OK too and seemed to gain confidence as the game progressed. Not so impressed with some of our senior players who really should be stamping their authority on a game like this. Gilmour was disappointing for me but not convinced he's fit. Savage continues to slow the play down too much which drives me nuts. He did however go up the park a few times which was a bit more positive. We should have won as we had 5 or 6 good chances but unable to capitalise. Same unwillingness to shoot as last season. Ferguson suggesting he had to hook senior players with 15 to go but I thought this was too much when we were chasing the game. Least said about Ferguson Jr the better.

More flannel than a Lumberjacks' convention..... Duncan Ferguson hopes for Caley Thistle investment ‘within weeks’ The Inverness manager needs funds to add new faces as his team get set for their long Annan trip in the Premier Sports Cup. Duncan Ferguson is confident fresh investment will come Caley Thistle’s way in a matter of weeks as the club gears up for the start of the season on Saturday. Amid a summer of turmoil at the Highland club, which was relegated from the Championship in May, the push for a new owner has dominated the past few weeks. The threat of administration for ICT, which has just posted a £588,000 loss for last year, was soothed by the board saying investment talks were positive almost one month ago. While fans have been waiting for news on this front, Ferguson has been unable to sign any players. Only the transfer of defender Nikola Ujdur, seemingly to Championship side Queen’s Park, will free up funds for Ferguson to add a face or two. ‘No one knows what the future holds’ Former Rothes defender Callum Aspell and ex-Ross County midfielder Adam Mackinnon featured as trialists against Raith Rovers and Brora Rangers and could be added if Ujdur’s deal is completed. When asked about whether he’s hopeful of better financial news, Ferguson said: “We’re waiting for a new owner to come in and I believe that is getting closer, so we will see what happens. “No one knows what the future holds. Hopefully when the new owner comes in, things will pick up and we can tweak the squad a little bit. “I’m positive that the club are well down the road with the takeover. “We’re all excited about that, and hopefully it’s only two or three weeks away, and then we’ll get a cash injection.” ‘At the moment, we have no budget’ The action begins for real this weekend when ICT set off early on Saturday for the 480-mile round trip to face League One rivals Annan Athletic in the opening group game in the Premier Sports Cup. Relegation and financial constraints mean Inverness have a largely young squad for the upcoming campaign. Ferguson says he’s impressed by the group he has, but knows it’s going to be a testing year ahead. He said: “At the moment, we don’t have a budget, so we can’t go looking for players. “To be fair, we have one or two in the pipeline as such, but the players will be mostly local due to accommodation costs. “It’s wonderful to see a lot of younger players in the squad. “They are well thought of at the club and a lot of us like the players. “They are young, very good players, and they will get their chance. “We know the season will be tough, but we’re ready. “Annan will be a tough game for us. All the pre-season games have been tough. “Nothing changes – we go out to try and win the game.” Ferguson asked about Doran In the first press conference since relegation, Ferguson was asked about ex-midfielder Aaron Doran, who said the club twice cancelled his knee operation. The Caley Thistle boss said: “It’s not down to me. It’s down to the club to answer these things and I am sure, in time, the club will do so.” ‘I’m a fighter and looking forward to the new season’ – Ferguson With everything that has gone on across the summer, including the proposed training base move to Kelty being binned, Ferguson stressed he’s determined to meet the challenge head on. That begins with the four Premier Sports Cup ties, against Annan this weekend, Bonnyrigg Rose on July 20, Arbroath on July 23 and Dundee on July 27. He said: “We’re looking forward to the new season. “We have four cup games first and it will be a big challenge for us this season as everyone knows. “But I’m a fighter and I’m looking forward to it. ” Striker and skipper Billy Mckay, fellow forward Adam Brooks and defender Danny Devine are facing a race against time to shake off injuries for the Annan trip. Ferguson is aware of fans’ disquiet, with many refusing to buy season tickets until they see internal club changes. He added: “I just ask them to get behind the team and support these young players.”

I'm hearing that the Inverness, Skye and West Ross-shire ballot papers are being sent to Kelty for the third count on Saturday. Apparently we're dropping them of on the way to Kirkcaldy

"We hope that our loyal fans once again will rally to support the Club!" Well we might be inclined to dig deep and support the club if there was even the slightest effort to be transparent with us rather than the ongoing cloak and dagger routine regarding the imminent investment that was indicated to the Supporters Trust back in mid June. A firm date regarding Gardiner's leaving date would also buy some goodwill. As it stands I will not be renewing our season tickets until such time as there's clarity on the above issues.

A board member confirmed to me in the director's box after the Hamilton relegation game that Ferguson is on a six month notice period rather than the three year fixed contract he keeps referring to. I've no reason to believe the director in question was lying or unaware of the deal. Utterly inconceivable that there wasn't a clause inserted in his contract that all bets were off in the event we were relegated. Well, when I say inconceivable that's on the assumption that the guy involved in negotiating said contract on our behalf wasn't a complete moron.
-
You'd genuinely think that someone within the club might have the awareness to suggest to Ferguson that optically it doesn't look great given our predicament but then you remember that these clowns are so far beyond giving a flying feck what we think that you almost have to applaud the audacity of the stunt they're pulling here.

Yet we appear to have enough to lavish thousands on a clueless management team and even enough to sign the gaffer's son while we're at it.

In any normal functioning business when you have a situation where your leadership team have been removed from their roles then their access to any means of adversely affecting the running of the business are immediately terminated and they're escorted off the premises. What we have here are people (on both the business and footballing side of the organisation ) who are essentially burning the club and its reputation to the ground on their way out the door. It strikes me as wanton corporate vandalism yet our board appear to be sitting back and letting them trash 30 years of goodwill and brand reputation. Ask yourself what player in their right mind would willingly sign for us? What agent would advise his client to head North? What club would answer the phone to us if we were looking for loanees? It surely goes without saying that absolutely no good can come of a guy who's been run out of the club following an overwhelming show of fan power still pulling the strings in the boardroom - does anyone genuinely believe that he has the club's best interests at heart? Are the board really that naive? Moreover, what on earth are we thinking in leaving a clueless football management team in situ to alienate the skeleton playing squad further? There's barely a player in the Fort George 14 they didn't screw over last season and the atmosphere must be poisonous. We're an absolute bin fire and these guys are hosing petrol on the inferno. The whole sh1tshow simply beggars belief.

That statement from Aaron is a shameful indictment of a club which has completely lost the plot. No humanity, no empathy and no respect for a guy who has been an exemplary professional through some extremely tough times. I am personally ashamed to be associated with a club which would treat a club legend in this manner and would call for a full apology to be issued by the club and confirmation that our CEO's notice period ends today. Utterly disgraceful behaviour.

We're almost a week on from a faceless call to arms and a plea to invest in season tickets, new kit and to get behind the club. Since then absolutely nada, nish, zero. Eight days until our first friendly and not a word regarding the playing squad, our invisible management team or any other fundamental issues relating to the season ahead. Quite frankly the most unprofessional bunch of clueless chancers that have ever graced a boardroom or dugout. An utter p1sstake which is surely severely undermining any last dregs of goodwill amongst our support. I'd be interested to hear what the Supporter's Trust have to say on this ongoing debacle.
-
You've got to feel for Ridgers and all the other lads left in the dark by our illustrious board and CEO. Despite the turmoil the lack of basic communication is really quite appalling. I was optimistic that a white knight would arrive to save the day but we're certainly making a pretty good fist of looking very much like a club going out of business.

Ding, Dong.....if anyone can rustle up an AI generated graphic of our ex CEO in full lodge regalia under a scale replica of our battery farm I'd be forever in your debt. On a more serious note now that we have the desired regime change and the Kelty debacle has been put to bed how do we ensure that any season ticket monies are protected in the event of administration? Is there a way that we can ring fence these funds via the Supporters Trust?

Grounds for optimism and seems sensible to be speaking to an insolvency practitioner. Kelty RIP.

The North Caley comments from the Courier are absolutely ridiculous. The currant buns liquidated, stiffed their face painter and ended up in League Two. Our debts appear to be largely to directors so I struggle to see how the SPFL can do us for anything more than the regular 15 points. Keep the heid mun!

That's also my understanding. As of 27th March it appears that Ross Morrison, David Cameron and Allan Munro now each have an equal three way control of ICT Battery Storage Limited. However, Cameron and Morrison are the only directors.
-
Morrrison has resigned as a director of Inverness Thistle and Caledonian F.C. Limited (the football club) but, as of this morning, appears to still be an active director in the following ICT related companies: - ICT Battery Storage Limited (with David Cameron) - Inverness Caledonian Thistle Properties Limited (with David Cameron) - Inverness Caledonian Thistle Community Development (with various others) - Inverness Caley Thistle Concert Company Limited [In Liquidation] (sole Director) It would be nice if one of the remaining directors of Inverness Thistle and Caledonian F.C. Limited would like to shed some light on what exactly is going on and their collective plans for the future of the club. Over to you gents we're all ears: Graeme Bennet David Cameron Gordon Fyfe Allan Munro Panagiotis Thomas Scott Young

The scheme was always designed to be sold on to a developer, that's the whole ILI business model. This is another example of Gardiner messing up a supposedly cunning money making scheme. The guy has some midas touch.

We're now eleven days on from the Kelty announcement and five days on from Ross Morrison's dialogue with the Wyness Shuffle and subsequent board meeting. Despite confirmation from Alan Savage that he/Orion will finance the Academy moving forward and then a flurry of rumours on Friday past we're pretty much none the wiser where we stand and getting ever closer to pre-season in what is undoubtedly a make or break season for the club. Is it too much for the people entrusted with the running of the club to give us an update as to where we go from here? It's an absolute farce and yet, to the best of our knowledge, we continue to pay the wages of our alleged CEO who presides over the whole pantomime with complete and utter disregard for the fans, players and club staff. It's an utter omnishambles from top to bottom and we need answers now.
