  1. Spurs didn't win at Anfield for 73 years after the Titanic sank
  2. Shouting 'leave it' is only a foul if you don't put a name in as well.
  3. Tokely getting skinned in the first half wasn't entirely his fault. On several occasions Cowie was wandering into the centre of the pitch leaving his right back exposed to two players.
  4. My opinions: Fraser - didn't look confident, lead boots again Tokely - good performance from the captain but seemed involved in the group mistake (Watt/Caff/Tokely?) for the goal Watt - looked decent but rusty Caff - mostly ok but ducked for no apparent reason for their goal McBain - excellent attacking threat but still not convinced he's a full back Cowie - good engine but disappointed with his final ball/shooting & seems permnently out of position Duncan - usual reliable holding role, several poor passes (many accurate ones too) & excellent run up the wing for Wyness goal Black - my MotM, link up play was good, never reacted to opposition fouls Wilson - played well, unlucky not to score (woodwork twice), not sure if he dived when booked but was through if not Niculae - quality finishes + lot of hassling/tackling opposition Wyness - mixed bag, some top stuff but gave the ball away too much Subs- not enough time given to judge enjoyable game, plenty of passing for a change, Arbroath not really up to much, defence really needs sorting out
  5. Is there something in the ether at the moment that is causing mass hysteria & loss of rational thinking when accessing this forum??? :crazy07: ps anyone else like Saxondale - new series started yesterday....
  6. I was recently in the USA & popped over to Toronto for a few nights, impressed with the place & intend going back again at some point.
  7. Bit surprised by that too but McBain or Duncan can fill in at the back if needed or they can go with the 3-5-2.
  8. Always had potential but did very little last season in the premiership & never managed to make his loan move to Man City permanent.
  9. Not been mentioned yet - Eric Burdon, Danny Bowes or perhaps the legend that is Vim Fuego.
  10. time to post this link again then stand up
  11. I stood up for 15 minutes at half time as did many hundreds of others - why is this allowed - it's still in a designated seating area.
  12. I'm sure I would have been winning, it's all Bronson's fault.....................
  13. Dods didn't play for the reserves so it looks likely to be Caff, Dods, Munro & Hastings
  14. My thoughts on the game Ridgers - couple of decent saves, good kicking, looked comfortable Tokely - usual 100%, seemed desperate to score MacDonald - assured full back performance Duff & Kerr - worked well together, tried to play a passing game from the back Vigurs & Sutherland - wide men performed well but Xander will have to learn to keep his mouth shut & not leave his foot in late Black & Soane - worked well together but the late challenge from Black was totally unnecessary & should have been a yellow card McSwegan & McAllister - made a good double act but unfortunately a comedy one. Top players - Vigurs & Kerr For them Ajeziri (No.11) looked promising, keeper (Robinson) ok & their sub (Craig?) not bad.
  15. From where I was sitting (back of the stand at the halfway line) it looked onside & the Scotsport highlights were totally inadequate to try & prove otherwise. As HC mentioned Fraser's outfit was far more disturbing (maybe trying out his panto costume??)
  16. 18 teams gets my vote, make it into a real league at last, then have a division 1, division 2 & North/South Conference-style feeder divisions.
  17. Beachcomber, I'll be there next Thursday, should be a good gig.
