imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but I hope nobody attributes these Vigurs comments to me.....
  2. Paul Ince (before Norwich get him) or Aidy Boothroyd - both need to rebuild their reputations & a year or two with us would benefit both sides.

Hughes needs to buy a centre half to replace the liability that is Dunne. Creativity, entertainment & goal scoring aren't a problem, Kaka would have been a nice luxury but with Robhinho, Bellamy, SWP, Petrov etc an unnecessary one. Wayne Bridge is perhaps the start of defensive rebuild that could see them challenging for trophies in the near future. When you've waited over 30 years for a sniff of success with regular on and off-pitch disasters maybe it puts ICT's current problems in perspective.
  4. Agreed, Robertson was excellent.
  5. Fixed your quote for you Mr B
  6. I'll take one again thanks Guzz
  7. what went wrong: 1st goal - Markus messing around led to a corner which everyone stood and admired while Fraser didn't know if he was coming or staying. 2nd goal - Munro, Duncan & Maguire forgot the art of tackling. 3rd goal - Black's poor backpass then Munro & Fraser failing to clear the ball. Our attacking - apart from one or two Tokely's runs up the right wing the inability to pass to a teammate meant we were toothless. Too many players didn't look interested in being out there.

  9. yes, his name was Michael Ball
  10. Maybe the club thought it would be a good idea to enable those fans who couldn't make it to the game in Aberdeen to pay their respects?
  11. Tokely was one of the better players in a poor team today but let himself down with a clumsy and unnecessary challenge. Others made more mistakes but since they never resulted in goals they got quickly forgotten about.

Never had any problems on the Social Club bus I was on after the 'Well game. Apparently they're broadcasting Sky & Setanta on the top deck from the beginning of April next year.
  13. Sadly needs more than a petition I'm afraid. As long as managers, team mates, fans etc of the divers turn a blind eye or encourage it then match officials will never stand a chance.
  14. 4-5-1 then, should be interesting
  15. Spurs didn't win at Anfield for 73 years after the Titanic sank
  16. Shouting 'leave it' is only a foul if you don't put a name in as well.
  17. Tokely getting skinned in the first half wasn't entirely his fault. On several occasions Cowie was wandering into the centre of the pitch leaving his right back exposed to two players.
  18. My opinions: Fraser - didn't look confident, lead boots again Tokely - good performance from the captain but seemed involved in the group mistake (Watt/Caff/Tokely?) for the goal Watt - looked decent but rusty Caff - mostly ok but ducked for no apparent reason for their goal McBain - excellent attacking threat but still not convinced he's a full back Cowie - good engine but disappointed with his final ball/shooting & seems permnently out of position Duncan - usual reliable holding role, several poor passes (many accurate ones too) & excellent run up the wing for Wyness goal Black - my MotM, link up play was good, never reacted to opposition fouls Wilson - played well, unlucky not to score (woodwork twice), not sure if he dived when booked but was through if not Niculae - quality finishes + lot of hassling/tackling opposition Wyness - mixed bag, some top stuff but gave the ball away too much Subs- not enough time given to judge enjoyable game, plenty of passing for a change, Arbroath not really up to much, defence really needs sorting out
  19. Bit surprised by that too but McBain or Duncan can fill in at the back if needed or they can go with the 3-5-2.
  20. Always had potential but did very little last season in the premiership & never managed to make his loan move to Man City permanent.
  21. time to post this link again then stand up
  22. I stood up for 15 minutes at half time as did many hundreds of others - why is this allowed - it's still in a designated seating area.
