I'm not popular with a St Johnstone supporter ex friend who blocked me as soon as he found out the result, acting like a 5yr old just because I was winding him up as soon as the whistle blew 🤦. I only mocked him because he was telling me all summer, "you won't beat Saints, we'll win about 4-0" and when I called him out for being childish on the St Johnstone page, his reply was "well done for winning a **** pre season game"! Sounds like St Johnstone version of Fin, at least Fin doesn't act like a child and start blocking folk 😂. Anyway, I am still buzzing after last night

One of the game's good guys. Always gave 100% on the park and honest on and off the park.

I was reminiscing with my 2 brothers about the 1966 word cup. We lived just outside Birmingham and our Dad had acquired 3 pairs of tickets and we all went to one of the games at Viila Park. The group contained West Germany, Spain, Argentina and Switzerland. My oldest brother watched an earlier contest between this year's finalists which the Argentinians fouled their way to victory. The other brother also watched Argentina in a goalless draw with West Germany. He recalls a vey dull game in which the highlight was an Argentinian being sent off for a cynical foul. I was the lucky one with a good game between West Germany and Spain with one of the goals of the tournament. England played Argentina in the quarter finals and Argentina spent more time kicking their opponents than the ball. Alf Ramsey referred to them as "animals" for good reason. Does anyone need a reminder of who won the world cup that year? I watched the 3rd place game at the weekend and what a game that was! France were clearly not expecting England to be so good in the first half, but their superb response in the 2nd half showed how vulnerable England can be when they commit players forward. A great game for the neutral though and a great advert for the beautiful game. Such a shame that there was absolutely nothing beautiful about Argentina the following day. 60 years have not changed the Argentinian mentality much. They were a disgrace then and they are a disgrace now.

Priceless. He didn’t even have a consistent or decent game, even over ruling our “favourite lino” Douglas Ross to give a goal kick when Ross had correctly awarded a corner.

We just need to be a bit sharper in front of goal. Get that sorted and I can see us pushing a promotion spot. Certainly signs of the boys starting to gel with each other.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting that result. Well pleased and what vision from young Alfie. Looking at the stats is seems opposition goalkeepers are on fire against us or are we hitting the ball straight at them?

Decent chance of getting through to the knockout stages of this tournament, which is pretty rare for us especially in recent years.
