According to today's P & J Italy have announced that they are not entering teams in this season's Intertoto Cup due to the ongoing corruption scandal.

They have two places and as ICT areeffectively first reserve there now seems to be a distinct possibility that we will after all be invited to enter the competition.

Fair enough, but how long will we have to wait to find out, another 2 weeks? seems that UEFA dont do anything quick.

Teams will be announced today or tomorrow at the latest. Charlie and Grassa to meet today. Charlie is still keen on Intertoto if the option arises.

TV reported last night that the team from the country with the highest co-efficent would replace the (single) Italian team withdrawn. That coutry is FRANCE and the team named is Auxerre

I always thought entering the Intertoto Cup was a bad idea. Just forget it and sort out our pre-season training!!
