As it stands...

As it stands 69 points will win us the league. That's the absolute maximum County and Dundee can reach.

Having a cushion of 16 goals on Dundee and 25 on County may well prove to make the difference and if Morton take anything from County and Dundee this week we could effectively be Champions next Saturday as a draw for either would mean they could reach 67 and if we beat Dunfermline we'll be on to 67.

Basically, the games this Tuesday (Morton - County) and next Saturday (Morton - Dundee) make what is happening in Greenock almost as important as what is happening in Inverness.

As Sir Awex says, squeaky bum time...

As posted on the match thread these are the remaining fixtures - County won't survive that fixture pile-up so it is left to Dundee to win all their remaining games and us to drop enough points for them to succeed....the fact that we have two home games and one way game remaining and we have only one game per week means Terry and Maurice have more time to get the team both mentally and tactically prepared for each of the remaining games. Still though irrespective of other results two more wins will do it....let's hope they are achieved before we have to play Dundee....

This is all IF's but i have just noticed that for County to catch us we need to lose a game before the Dundee match for them to win the league (if Dundee continue to win their games). Then they would require us and Dundee to draw as either winner of that match would go on to win the league and not Ross County. Therefore i think Ross County along with their huge fixture pileup have even less chance of winning the league now.
