World's worst team finally gets a win

When I saw this headline on the BBC website I thought it was going to be about Strathspey.

But it's actually referring to international football, and American Samoa who had lost every single one of their previous matches (including the famous 31-0 v the cast of Neighbours) before this week's 2-1 win over Tonga.

Looking into their results history, they did actually get an unofficial win long before they were FIFA registered. It was in 1983 against Wallis and Futuna....and Futuna was only playing because Gromit was at the vet.

I think Kylie got a hat trick that night

Archie Thompson scored 13 times in that game..............and was then dropped for the next match!
