Buoyed by our resounding "No" vote I'm waiting with bated breath for Terry and Mo to roll out their seven new faces. I preseume Warren is one of the seven but I'd be rather disappointed if OTJ and Martin Laing are included in the seven we were promised.

Pre-season training starts bright and early on Friday morning and we were assured that the squad would be re-assembled ahead of this - can we expect a flurry of announcements over the next 48 hours ?

So how many loanees are we looking at now ?

Hopefully a few, generally they bring in one or two gems on loan. Doran, Davis, Golobart among others. Hopefully we'll get a couple more before the season starts.

That was voiced with a tad of irony - it becomes rather worrying when we become dependent on short term loan signings to survive. That would be more acceptable and understandable if we were attempting to build a squad around that.

I got the irony, just think for a team our size we are always going to need to rely on bringing in loanees to bump up the squad numbers. If he can bring in players on loan who add real quality, and we would otherwise be able to sign, I'm all for it. As I said, he normally finds a couple of gems a season.
