I see Lowland League side Edusports have relocated to Strathclyde Park and rebranded as “Caledonian Braves”.  The name was chosen in a vote by their fans, or rather online subscribers. Heard their financial backer stating an ambition to be in the top flight within 6 years. That doesn’t seem likely, but stranger things have happened.

Can’t say I like the idea of there being another Caley in the Scottish league set-up. I know we don’t have a monopoly on the word but it’s been part of our uniqueness. There are many Thistles, Uniteds and Rangers, but only one Caledonian, until now. Would be really odd to one day face a team whose fans are chanting “Caley”!

At least Braves is a feckin better choice than Thistle.

Another Gretna? Braves is right, very brave to make the six years predictiction.
