If you could change one event

If you could change one event in the clubs history what would it be?

It can be anything.  E.g. signing or selling/releasing a player, managerial appointment, chairman/director/ceo appointment, outcome of a match etc.

The only caveat is that everything after the event is not guaranteed to happen. E.g. if Butcher had stayed we wouldn't necessarily have won the Scottish Cup but we may also not have appointed Gardiner as ceo!

Would be interesting to see the reasoning for the change and how you think things would be different today.

I wonder if any of the individuals named in this thread would be up for going on the Wyness Shuffle and doing a 'what might you have done different?' section?

I'd like to hear from Foran. I don't blame him for being a headstrong rookie manager with no support. I think he put his heart and soul into the club. It didn't work. He lost his job. What are his thoughts now? What's he been doing with himself. Would he ever return to football?

Gardyne not going on the players night out 3 years ago. It was his antics that caused havoc in the dressing room and seriously derailed the promotion push that season.

Bit late to the party, but letting Marley Watkins go before the Europa League. Reckon he could've left a dent in Astra Giurgiu and sent us to Upton Park, leaving us with a major payday that could've pushed us back into the European Spots, and maybe back to Hampden cleanly rather than being saved by the skin of our teeth by Andréa Mutombo in the embers against Hibs for a fruitless replay
