I see Owen slipped quietly into the Burnley management job a couple of weeks ago, and what a great start he has made, 7 points out of 9 including two away wins. Quite a step up from Scottish League 1 to English Championship.  Fair play to him.  Makes you wonder what we missed when he was a contender for our job.  Not that I voted for him for ICT to be honest, but I didn't vote for Brewster either.  However, all things considered I feel Brew is doing OK.

I think Burnley paid St J something approaching ?200k to get him.

Given that he has taken his team several steps backwards this season and pretty much eliminated them from the title race already, that's a good bit of business for Saints. Good to see him doing well though, he's one of the guys we all respected, even when he was banging in goals against us with annoying regularity.

I'm pleased to see that he's off to such a good start. He would have been my choice to succeed Charlie Christie.

I think he's one of the best young managers in the business notwithstanding St Johnstone's iondifferent start to the season.

saints fans ive spoken to speak about him in a similar way as we do about brew...not sure about his tactics/transfer ideas, not willing to change a faulty system. but fair play to the guy, last month he was facing teams such as morton and QOS, next month he comes up against arsenal
